Owen's case is a bit different. He had Raul, R9, and Morientes ahead of him yet Perez went and signed him. That move pissed Camacho off.
Owen still had the best goals per minute record in Madrid that season if I'm not mistaken.
Kane sef I'm looking at him with one eye... This last injury he had has taken something from him Sha... Can't put my finger on it.
Didn't even see this post before I made my comment

Owen wasn't a flop tho he wasn't just settled. Was behind R9 and Raul in the perking order but still finished with about 16 league goals

Where did I say he was a flop ?

I said he wasn’t the same as Liverpool and that’s it and that doesn’t makes him flop ,the Spanish media didn’t call him flop ,but if it’s others wise for a top player like Owen I know what the Epl can do

Wow can you compare Benzema's to Kane's records over the last four seasons?
Benz was always not the top striker when CR7 was there, Madrid formation was 'everybody pass to Ronaldo' and Spur formation is 'everybody pass to Kane' but last season Kane scored 17 while Benz scored 21 and Kane is Tottenham PK taker while Benz hardly does it for Madrid plus Benz is over 30 already. Benz is a very fine player I'll pick him ahead of Kane

Former England international John Fashanu has claimed that Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham opted to represent his country of birth, England over Nigeria because of financial benefits.

The Wimbledon legend blamed Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick for not explaining to Abraham the benefits in monetary terms he would have received if he had committed his international future to the three-time African champions.

The Chelsea number nine can no longer represent the Super Eagles after playing a cap-tying game for England against Czech Republic last month.

''Tammy knows why he hasn’t played for the Super Eagles and it’s because there is more financial benefits playing for England, there is more glory and less trouble,'' Fashanu was quoted as saying by Daily Trust.

''Why do we ask the boy to play for Nigeria and torture him? We need to step up. Tammy is a massive miss for Nigeria.

''Nobody went to London to talk to him and explain to him the benefits of playing for his motherland.''

Abraham's Chelsea teammates Ross Barkley and Fikayo Tomori, who have Nigerian blood flowing in their veins, are in contention to represent England at next year's European Championship.

These 10 players are Gernot Rohr's Super Eagles ‘untouchables’
opera.com

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has been quoted to have said that there isn't much room for new players in his squad.

Barring injuries and a monumental loss of form, there are at least 15 players from those that played the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and the
last four matches who cemented their places in the squad. Ten of them are nailed-on certainties.
Since the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in July, the Super Eagles have played four matches, drawing two and winning the other two.

The friendly games with Ukraine (2-2) and Brazil (1-1) as well as the 2021 AFCON qualifiers against Benin Republic (2-1) and Lesotho (4-2) have given Rohr the opportunity to try new players and go in a new, more positive direction.
The German coach has always harped on the youthfulness of his team and that is truly manifesting now. Two key players in their 30s, Mikel Obi and Odion Ighalo, have left the team. Their places have been taken by players in their early 20s, Joe Aribo and Victor Osimhen, bringing down the average age of the squad.

Rohr is building a young, vibrant, progressive side that can play the attacking, front-foot football that can win silverware and get fans on the edge of their seats.

These 10 players – in no particular order -- appear to be Rohr's ‘untouchables’ when fit, the ones who will always be in his matchday squad, even if they are not starting:

OLA AINA: The Torino wing-back was dropped on the eve of the Russia 2018 World Cup but was in the 2019 AFCON squad. The 23-year-old defender has fought his way back into the team and has Rohr's full trust. Aina offers solidity in defence and penetration in attack as seen in his assist for one of Osimhen's goals against Lesotho. The former Chelsea star is equally adept on the left and right sides of defence, giving him the edge over other full-backs.

WILLIAM TROOST-EKONG: The vice-captain is the rock in the Super Eagles defence and figures in any central defensive pairing Rohr decides to go for. He has paired with Leon Balogun, Kenneth Omeruo and lately Semi Ajayi. The Udinese star, who recently signed a new deal, has excelled alongside them all. He is Rohr's trusted lieutenant on the pitch.

WILFRED NDIDI: The Leicester City midfielder would probably walk into most teams in the world, club or national team. That is how far his stock has risen in the last two seasons and Rohr naturally recognises his ability. Although Ndidi hasn't quite fully been as good for the Super Eagles as he has been for Leicester, he has been good enough to be a permanent feature in the national team. He is easily one of the top five defensive midfielders in the world and Rohr is lucky to have him.

ALEX IWOBI: The Everton forward is not the most consistent player around but he does far more good than harm. At 24, Iwobi is coming to his peak years and there are signs that he can improve. He has often shone as the Super Eagles No.10 and he capped a brilliant performance against Lesotho with a goal. He is also useful out wide, giving Rohr options in the even of an injury crisis.

OGHENEKARO ETEBO: The Stoke City midfielder wasn't available for the games against Benin and Lesotho because of fitness concerns but he is one of Rohr's warriors. Etebo is the most energetic player in the squad and is tireless running is always missed when he is not available. When fully fit, you can be sure Rohr will have Etebo in his matchday 18 at least.

SAMUEL CHUKWUEZE: The Villarreal forward has sealed his place in Rohr's plans since his exciting displays at the 2019 AFCON. The 20-year-old is a key component of the electric front three with his dribbling skills, vision and eye for goal. He will be around for years.

VICTOR OSIMHEN: The Lille striker has seamlessly stepped into Odion Ighalo's large shoes and played himself into the hearts of Rohr and Nigerians.

Even when he is not scoring, Osimhen is a menace to defenders with his pace, hold-up play and strength. He does score though, netting four goals in the four games since the 2019 AFCON. The prolific 20-year-old is one of the first names on Rohr's team sheet.

MOSES SIMON: The Nantes wide man is not guaranteed to start, but he always gets involved. After a late injury denied him a spot to Russia, Simon has come back strong. He is not only a threat on the wings – he can play right or left – he also provides defensive cover for his full-back, which is why he remains valuable to Rohr.

AHMED MUSA: The team captain might no longer be a starter but he remains the undisputed leader. Musa has to contend with Simon, Samuel Kalu and even Peter Olayinka for one wide slot in the starting XI but the Al Nassr star still has a reserved place in the matchday squad.

At 27 and with nine years in the Super Eagles, Musa is a veteran in this young squad and Rohr counts on the former Leicester City star's experience and guidance to lead the young players.

FRANCIS UZOHO: Currently out with a long-term injury he sustained on national duty in the Brazil friendly, Uzoho is a sure banker when he is fit. Although he sometimes struggles, the Cyprus-based goalkeeper has become a key member of Rohr's squad since his debut against Argentina just before the World Cup last year.

I think he can in the world cup he dropped deep lack of pace couldn't keep up with Rashford and Raheem. So he played essentially as an AM creating chances for the faster forwards

This is where Tega Abrahams is going to give him some serious competition for that number 9 role.

Tega too has been consistently consistent over the last three seasons and is getting better. But Tega has pace. I don't know how fast he is because he's so tall and his stride so long. It's only when you see shorter player alongside him busting a gut to keep up that you realise how fast he is.

Only time will tell

Just to remind you that you are on SE thread. It seems you have forgotten.

Please if you have an opinion give it.

But don't use me as a reference point, now tell me where I said Osimhen will flop in the EPL.

It seems you are scared to criticise the fans favourite here,

Many players have played in the week long international break. And immediately started for thier clubs, they didn't need a rest.

Why would Osimhen need a rest he is not injured.
OSIMHEN is actually being rested this weekend because of an automatic 1 Match ban following some yellow cards accumulation by the way.

Don't mind the write up ooo. When the author said MOSES SIMON is Not guaranteed a starting shirt, yet, he or she didn't deemed it necessary to include SAMUEL KALU.

Even though 15 Players were initially being the focal point of the article, it ended up with 10 and the statement referenced above.

Absolutely true with respect to the financial gain.

Because it was claimed that JOHN FASHANU himself receives up to the tune of 5 million Naira equivalent of the British pounds monthly as pension from England as an ex-player on Human right Radio 101.1 FM earlier today during a review of the NFF probe Case

Indeed and probably everything has to do with match fixing as well because that was equally being referenced today too by a Nigerian that had 10 years refereeing experience in SWEDEN among other footballing exploits of His before coming back to NIGERIA to run a football club only for the NFF to automatically relegate his Club for talking too much and trying to expose many ills and rots in Nigerian football.

Indeed and probably everything has to do with match fixing as well because that was equally being referenced today too by a Nigerian that had 10 years refereeing experience in SWEDEN among other footballing exploits of His before coming back to NIGERIA to run a football club only for the NFF to automatically relegate his Club for talking too much and trying to expose many ills and rots in Nigerian football.
grin As usual, no god or demon is doing us. Nigerians are their own enemies.
