@the bolded, we are here because we Super Eagles, so let's not forget the reason why we are here
There are various threads for other topics. We should learn to discipline ourselves to follow the purpose of the thread. If everyone is to express their "other interests", there will be no place for you to express your love for NPFL.
grin grin grin

Yes we should discipline ourselves but it doesn't have to be completely.

not only corrupt but well connected politically. i bet you that if not that jonathan lost to buhari keshi would have remain as the super eagles head coach prior to his demise.

i still make jokes that sacking keshi was the only good dividends from buhari's government because if not pinnick wouldn't have had the guts to dare authorities from higher places in jona's government then who were pals with keshi.

do you have an idea of how many times pinnick tried to sack keshi but was stopped by powers beyond him?

winning the afcon turned keshi to a monster and demi god at the same time which gave him more leverage yo carry out his dubious practices without blinking in conjunction with tony harris who was the agent of almost all the deadwoods that made keshi's team on a regular basis

it's either you join them or leave them. You can't change the system in Nigeria as it is unless through revolution.

BascoVanVeli:

Tell our government to stop bribery. Why should everyone be forced to leave just to make it when we have a league?

I personally don't care who coaches because at the end of the day we only look at results.

We are talking player management and player invitation, not tactical ability or scouting. Many of our coaches will not be able to manage the ego of some of our players, which is why they resort to players that will be LOYAL to them - often times players that know they do not deserve a place in the team.

OMANBALA1:

You may have missed my point. I am saying that the current set of players Rohr is working with are some of best talents in Africa and even across the world to stretch it. We agree on that but I want us all to understand and agree that the success of this very set is not in anyway rested on the tactical abilities of Rohr. He inherited those players from our "corrupt" Nigerian coaches. Keshi , Siasia , Eguavon didnt have these sort of talents, when they coached the Eagles....you know ,like Pep struggling to win matches at the Champions League without his Barcelona special talents...lol. In essence, Rohr was simply lucky-in the right place at the right time. He is not a genius! However, I think he knows how to manage players attitudes and behaviors.

In the midst of all that, Rohr still has to surpass Keshi though. That's the lowest bar for him with the relatively better talents at his disposal.

No the system can be changed right now. The nff can create measures to ensure that their referees don't get compromised. The NRA can do more to punish foul refs on sight. This all can be done today.

Stephen Okechukwu Keshi according to some of our blodas here is the grandfather of corruption, yet he took a half decent team to the nations cup and won it. He also qualified Nigeria for the world cup and gave France a run for their money in the second round, it took Matuidi taking Onazi out for them to defeat Nigeria...lol. The same corrupt Keshi qualified Togo for the world cup and what did the black men from Togo did? They let him off and hired a white man. And he achieved all these with dubious characters ?

Now, think about a certain franco-german who took a team adjudged one of the best in Africa but he could not go past the group stage, yet again failed at the nations cup.

Need I say more ? A certain character condemned Keshi as the most corrupt coach ever!! I have come to the realization that people hide behind different characters to attack and malign those they dont like.

It doesn't take a seer to spot an intelligent individual, brother. And , no , Keshi is not corrupt. It's a matter of preference and like I said a fit Zuby will start ahead of a fit Ndidi....my preference.

Even though, with all his excellent man management and superior talents at his disposal Rohr is still inferior to Legend Keshi. EOD

THE STORY BEHIND THE STATS (Eberechi Eze)
Fulham 2-1 QPR

Rating 6.98
With an average rating of 7.00, Eze who played in the MR position was the third best performer in a QPR shirt.

Total Shots
Ebere only managed 2 shots in the 90 minutes spent on the pitch, one of which was on target.

Possession
With a total of 62 touches, Eze had a 4.4% possession of the ball during encounter.

Passes
With a total of 30 passes, 27 (4 key passes) of which found his teammates, he scored 90% in successful passes ( the 4th highest on the pitch)

Dribbles
By his standards, he only managed 2 dribbles ( joint 2nd highest)

Tackles
Ebere had a total of 5 attempted tackles. 4 of which were successful making him the third joint best on the pitch in terms of successful tackles.

Corners
He was given the responsibility to deliver corners 9 times and had a 56% corner accuracy.

Dispossessed
Ebere recorded a game low in terms of the number of times he was dispossessed. This must have been the biggest factor to his relatively low rating. He was dispossessed 6 times, more than any player on the pitch.

Conclusion
Ebere Eze still has lots of work to do this season to get closer to his dreams of representing the Three Lions. For now Gernot Rohr can only hope he has a change of mind someday. For me, he needs to be the stand out player -- or at least one of the top players -- in the Championship by the end of the season to be an UNDISPUTED Super Eagles candidate.

I disagree.

The Championship is the prelude to the EPL it's the preparation ground before you get to the EPL.

If you are outstanding in the Championship you will be a top player in the EPL that's almost a given.

Ebere statistically speaking is the best player in the Championship. That's AMAZING
.

Who is better Iwobi Or Eze❓ Put Iwobi in QPR and in the same position playing hard physically intense football without too many technical players around you, will he do better or even comparable.

So it's open to debate.

However, one thing is not in dispute from what l have seen Eze has a far better shot than Iwobi. Also able to shoot with power and accuracy with both feet. This is something that Iwobi has always struggled with.

He has already done enough. What more does he have to do.❓

Our current arguably best Midfielder Etebo plays in Championship and to be honest has been largely anonymous in the league. That should tell us something. Even Ovie has been consistently impressive for his club Reading and league.

Collins got 7.8 ratings, behind the goalscorer who got 8.1... (2 goals)

That means he was the 2nd best player of his team, how you guys fail to see that is beyond me...

He also bagged one assist, but y'all are blind to that, infact komekn said he did practically nothing
, while the winger did everything, the winger should have kuku collect the ball from the goal keeper then, if such assist won't count....

Also if you did not see a game and are arguing with someone who watches the game, I don't understand how you can give informed analysis of what happened... I definitely will side @thesupernerd over @kbs

I'm not saying Collins Is eldorado, but 7.8 ratings(2nd behind the golascorer) and an assist is not a bad game at all for a person like Collins(well he is presumbed to be a carpenter here)... Even if we go by stats alone and not watch the match, it's still a great stat for him....

I watched the game.

I have also checked Whoscored.com and if you look backwards you will see the screen shot.

Collins had 6.95 the CB had the highest rating and the goal keeper waa rated 5th in the team.

So you information is incorrect and simply not true. You chose to support a view not based on facts, truth and or substantive deductions. But on what emotive sentiment.

Statistics are indicative not conclusive. You must understand that they don't tell the full story

Paderborn is a very poor team.

bros make we reason abeg, can you name coaches from the local scene who you deem better than rohr?

are you referring to the period we were made to believe by a certain coach that the likes of uchebo, reuben, oboabona, kwambe, oshaniwa, nwofor just to mention a few were better than:

imoh ezekiel who took the belgian league by storm then as a rookies in the colors of standard liege?

abdul ajagun who was doing very well in the colors of greek giants panathinakos?

taiye taiwo and haruna lookman who were ever present figures in dynamo kiev then?

obafemi martins who was scoring for fun in levante and continued with the same form in the mls?

otigba who was a young defender then playing regularly in dutch club heereveen?

sone aluko who was doing well in glasgow rangers and continued with the form when he joined championship side hull city?

ejide who was miles better than chigozie agbim?

Sone Aluko was in the EPL with Hull at the time not the Championship.

Even in the championship he was voted best Midfielder with Fulham before longthroat carried him to Reading with a million £ safely in his pocket.

Even greater longer throat has carried him to China. He was dropped because he refused to settle.
