LaMujer:You can easily hit more minutes when you work on long calls, so more money. However, if you rake in 2s or 1s while working on long calls, it can dampen your morale for the hours wasted. |

LaMujer: From my own small experience. Longer calls are better, you'll notice that in "some" of those long calls there are lots of breaks as a result of placing callers on hold and stuff, plus there is more room to use the [...] For inaudibles, and more money ![]() ![]() Picked a 32 min Fc/ ,UK call and the total conversation wasn't even up to 15 mins, was done in no time, allowing me to do even more minutes per day than I usually do. 2 Likes |

The worst thing that can happen to you, if you transcribe with a mobile device, is "Inverted speaker label". One mistouch is all it takes to ruin your transcription. I don tire for this thing. I must get a laptop really soon. Crosschecking helps though. ![]() |
Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by Estringx(m): 7:05pm On Nov 23, 2019 |
jaywalker04:You need to work on you concentration and changing to a laptop is not the solution. You should always read through with the call playing in the background after working up on a call, don't just submit immediately after finishing up. |
Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by jaywalker04(m): 8:04pm On Nov 23, 2019 |
Estringx:It's not like I'm not holding my own, even with this problem. Like I said, crosschecking helps. Accidental touches have nothing to do with concentration baba. You can't be 100 all the time. Sometimes you'll get Inverted speaker outta nowhere, even with crosschecking cos there's a great chance you can still press something before you submit it, maybe while scrolling or zooming. Changing to a laptop IS the solution for me brother. Wait, are you using phone or computer?? |
Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by PattyMike(m): 10:06pm On Nov 23, 2019 |
jaywalker04: Funny enough when I dey use phone. I had 3 5s in a row. but since I start to use PC nah so so 4. I don tire did 4 calls straight and I swear everything nah 4s. PC is just convenient when you use the shortcuts. I don go buy Ibucap I pack cus the back pain from sitting for 4 hours straight on a long call no be here. I finished 16 mins UK call in 3 hours 42 mins plus cross checking. I no fear any body papa accent again LMAO. advantage of PC. |
