Colour drain from Katherine face as she look into a total emptiness.., she shivered and press her sored back to the wall as the voices croon in her head again...

"Princess..."The physician mutter squatting to face her..."Are you alright...?

She wasn't, she guess she never will after the dream she just had.....

"Princess..."The physician mutter gently...."It was just a dream..."

Her teeth chattered in fear as she could no longer control her hands, they were shaking in an odd trembling rhythm....., the voices still resounding in her head, she look up to face the physician, then at herself...., she quickly covered her body well on realization her chest was exposed, everything that happened quickly flashed through her head.......

"What happened...?She ask getting up from the floor, trying hard to block the voices from her head.., this particular dream scared her, it was unlike the rest....

"You fell unconcious......"The physician crooned

She gulped a dry lump in her throat..."What happened after that..?

"You were brought here for treatment...."

Sharp pain lanced through her head and she slowly drift backward...

"You need to rest..."The physician chimes in...."I will apply some leaves to your wounds, the pain will relieve you...."

"Am fine...."She chided

"You're not fine princess...."

She bit her lips if only her action and the anger she was feeling right now could soothe the pain torning her from inside....."Am fine..."

"You're not..."The physician protested

The court proceedings flashed before her eyes but she couldn't recall what happened after her blackout....."Who brought me here...?

"You don't know...?

She took a moment to breathe, rest a while to swallow the pain she was feeling before replying...."No..."

"It doesn't matter..."The physician riposte

A feeling of dread crept up from the pit of Katherine's stomach....."What time is it...?

"Time for you to rest..."

Frown lines quickly encroached on her foehead...."Am not playing, what time is it....?

She sigh, a slow sigh of irritation, she heard the noises from outside, right then it occurred to her exactly what was going on..." The tournament has started..."She blare out....."I need to be there..."

She suck her teeth and try hard to hold herself from resorting to something bad to get away from him...."I've endured pains more unimaginable than this, i need to be there...."

"The king won't be pleased..."

"I don't care about the king, you must have heard my brother is taking part in this tournament, i need to be there..."

"You were left in my care princess, until i see you're fit, i can't let you out..."

"Don't do this...."Katherine coos...

The crowd hummed from outside again, this time more loud than the first time she heard it....."Please let me go..."

"But i can change what happens now...?She chided and she meant it, if he isn't going to step out of the way so she can leave, she'll just have to indulge in the mean tact.....

"What do you mean...?she queried reading meanings to his words...

Katherine steady her breath and try to calm her panic.., she step forward eager to close the little distance between them, to look into her eyes and tell her she isn't afraid of her or any member of her family, they tried their best to kill her, she survived and she's definitely inclined to rub it on their faces....."yes i do..."

"She cannot go..."The physician balled in..."She's not fit enough to leave this room..."

"Am fine...."Katherine snapped

"The herbs only stop the bleeding, not the pain..."

Katherine gulped before speaking..."I can handle my body..."

"You need to be relieved of the pains before i let you out of here..."

"I said....

"Enough..."Anesia interject brusquely....."You want to go to the tournament, you're free to go...."

"Queen mother, she.....

"Tell the king i allowed her..."She cut in....."You will certainly not be blamed if her injuries took the better of her..."

"Queen mother....

"I will say no more physician, know your place...."

The physician words choke in his throat..."Yes queen mother...."

Katherine lips curled with hatred when Anesia smiled at her before leaving, that wasn't a smile, it was a warning to her, a reminder she's all alone..., that's why she have to see to her brother's victory, together, they'll find Vuga and fight their enemies...

"Be careful..."The physician mutter when she made a move to step outside....

"I will...."

"And you should know something..."

"What...?

"Someone came looking for you, a boy, probably your age, he said he's your friend...."

"My friend...!She resounded....

"That's what he said...."

"I have no friends..."She sass before walking out

"It doesn't work like that Rose, let me remind you how it works, you tell me what i need to hear, i untie you and we go live our separate lives like nothing happened...."

"Did the detective put you up to this...?

"Like i said, am helping him..."

"Look bitch..."Rose buffed, voice clipped with vexation...."You don't want to mess with me, untie me now that i still have my humane senses intact..."

"Scary.., what happens when you lose them, or it....?

Irritation sliced across Rose face...."Trust me, you don't want to know..."

"Need i remind you, you're the one being tied to a chair, am the one asking the questions, and to be sincere, I've been trying to hold my cool but since you've proven times without numbers that you're stubborn, let's do it the hard way...., Guards..."

Flutter washed through Rose gut as the men on police uniform walk into the room again....

A taunting smile circled Maia's lips.., she sat across her, legs crossed and hands in her lap...."Whenever i asked a question and she doesn't give me a favourable answer, give her a punch...."

Rose chulkled but didn't say a word....

"What do you know about the chiefs dead....?Maia asked

"Go to hell..."Rose retorted

Maia raised her brows and one of the men drove his fist across Rose face....

The hard, musculine and unexpected punch sent Rose cheek and eyes jiggling with stars....., pain lanced through her head and her whole body shook in retaliation......
She gasp and blood gush out from her mouth.....

"Blood...."Maia chided....."Don't bleed now Rose, we're just getting started...., so i will ask again, what do you know about the chiefs death, or let me rephrase in a more simpler way..., do you or do you not know Pious killed or masterminded the deaths of the chiefs....?

A look of bitterness swept across Rose face, Anger curled hot and unstoppable in her gut, like a blazing inferno that wanted to burn her from the inside out..... "Burn in hell bitch..."She retorted, voice touched with anger......

Just as she expected, a second blow came right for her face, the blow sent her crumbling with the chair on the floor......, she felt her jaw was broken and she quickly latched out with pains.......
