Common bro you should by now understand that when we press higher up the pitch we recover the ball in dangerous positions and our striker have more freedom with galloping fullbacks and our midfielders pushed forward

I agree.

Reason I was on the case of our front 3. They did nothing to force the opponents backline into errors, they were static.

You failed to understand what I'm trying to say. A couch could have a tactical plan to contain an opponent and perhaps win a game, a player's stupidity could ruin that plan. What led to Sheffield united's first goal? Jones stupidity! He lost concentration and kept a Sheffield player onside, take a look

Jones embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed

Yup. Agreed.

Jones 150% at fault for that needless goal. And after bringing him onside, he miserably failed to shield and clear the ball.

Irrespective of how he played, Jones is, and has been a calamity on the pitch.

Na injury cause am. If McTom was available he wouldn’t be playing.

Did anyone notice that all 3 goals yesterday were scored by an academy graduate?

The seniors who we rely on are playing crap or haven’t been available for an extended period of time- Shaw, Martial, Radhford, Pereira, Pogba, etc.

Word on the street is that these academy graduates are really sticking it up to their seniors in training. I think the reason they’re not playing lots of games is because of the physicality of the EPL.

Brandon Williams is a tough teenager and he’s got the physicality. That’s why he’s above Young and Shaw in the pecking order.

Chong and Gomes can’t play 45mins in an EPL game like yesterday’s. They’d be eaten raw.

Una no see as that Sheffield Utd CB Dey use chest bully Martial upandan the field?

The pressing has to be coordinated. As the front 3 press, the midfield and defense are supposed push up making the field compact but in our case, it's either the front 3 us pressing and the midfield is static or the other way around.

I feared for Williams after he entered the referees book but he kept a calm head through the entirety of the match.

Does the benching of Young after the yellow to Williams signify his new role or is it because we were chasing the game?

Ole should sha not be unfortunate on Thursday. We don qualify already. I want to see Garner and Greenwood play considerable number of minutes in that game...if possible, 90 mins.

Hopefully we get to see Chong and Gomes play too.

What do you mean? Players finish matches with yellow cards all the time.

It didn’t look likely that Brandon would get another yellow yesterday.

Garner should start that game. It’s almost a dead rubber match.

All the yoots should participate. Chong, Greenwood, Gomes.

I’d be surprised if Ole gets gutsy and hand a debut start to Levit as well, to partner Garner in midfield. That would be cool.

For a youngster, I was afraid whether or not he can keep a calm head. I am very sure Ole entertained same fear however, I don't know if it's because we were chasing the game or that Young is now confined to the bench that he didn't bother with the sub either way, I am glad Young didn't come in...

In midfield, it's now Fred over Pereira who I think should be sold preferably to a team in La Liga.

If we were on the back foot, nobody will complain but the opposite was the case yesterday, we had the initiative but Ole threw it away with that change which all but certainly sent negative signals to the players and encouraged Sheffield to come at us.

When he made that sub, did it look like we were under any kind of threat? At the point he subbed Martial, the bookies favored us to get the 4th goal and that's the reason for the uproar.

I really don't know why he opted for a more reserved approach. He had a formula that was working, why on earth did he change?

Not an issue. Williams also copped a yellow in his previous game but wasn’t subbed. I agree he’s hot headed but he wasn’t in danger of getting a red yesterday. The coaching crew has to manage his hot temper effectively.

Glad he’s ahead of Yoing in the pecking order.

Fred and Pereira are not our first choice midfield pairing. It’s McTom and Pogba. We’ve played 13 league matches this season. McTom and Pogba have played about 15% of those games together.

I’d like Levit and Garner to step up so that they can play once a while so that those 2 first -chose MFs can have a rest. Fred, Pereira, Lingard, Mata, are not it.

the best managers are the fans with mouth. most times it's difficult to compliment the manager in areas he's improved because you get accused of rewarding mediocrity.

Jones inclusion in the team was a mistake. some people still have faith in the lad but for me it's a waste of time, he should have left instead of Smalling.

Ole was brave enough to correct that straight out the tunnel and I like the fact he's learning on the job.
his last sub was a good idea but he didn't have the right personnel. Fans are just criticizing in hindsight because it didn't work but a Matic would have slowed the game to shits and frustrated the opponents. Tuanzebe didn't have the match fitness, and more importantly the experience.

Better for Jones to go to where he can play regular football. He is now under pressure to prove himself. The coach appeared to have taken a decision to relegate Jones and Smalling even before he arrived. It seems to be a similar thing that happened to Lukaku.

Ole prefers defenders who can use the ball and are calm even when the sky is falling on them. So he forgives their numerous mistakes while using body language to highlight the mistakes of those he doesnt like.

May be if Jones played to the end, we would not have conceded 3 goals. Every defender with his own strength and weakness. In the second goal we conceded, Maguire was retreating to avoid being beaten instead of comfronting. The third goal, he left space while Tuanzebe was runing to already crowdes place.

Let's cut Ole some slack, please. He's yet to field his strongest team and he needs a few transfer windows before we can start calling for his head. Too early for a sack! Klopp has won only 1 trophy since he was appointed by Liverpool 4 years ago.

He is yet to field his strongest team and needs a few transfer windows... I agree. But let's look at this Chelsea team... New inexperienced coach, didn't get any player due to transfer ban, yet when they play, you will see the direction they are heading. A team with a plan. You can argue that we defeated them but if u can be honest and objective about the game, then you will agree with me that they outplayed us. Now they are in the top 4 and we are flirting with the bottom half of the table. They can comfortably relax and wait for their ban to be lifted because they know they headed in the right direction. Can you say the same for Ole? We've had our asses handed to us by Bmouth, Ncastle, Wham, C Palace. Then we drew with Wolvess and Southampton. It's not enough to play well against big teams and spread our legs for the perceived small teams to come and fvck for free.
I repeat it again... Ole is clueless, tactically inept and his continued stay at the club will bring us down to the level of Cardiff City with expensive players.

That game against Liverpool also saw Mane miss two clear cut chances but Sheffield United were impressive.

The difference is in the way those teams approached the game against Sheffield compared to how we approached the game yesterday. Will Klopp or Pep opt for 3CBs against Sheffield? Even Manchester City with CB crises are not playing 3CBs to cover for their injury woes, Fernandinho is doing it along with Stones but Ole the winner of the Norwegian league thought otherwise...

Before their opener yesterday, it was obvious their game plan was long balls to the channels in search for their strikers, they tried it twice before the goal and each time it caused us issues, Maguire and Jones were clearly struggling to cope but Ole sat they watching.

When you watch City vs Chelsea, you'll see that City had to change their approach after the first 30mins or thereabout of the match to stop Chelsea from coming at them. At 2 vs 3, we were looking the sure bet to score the 4th goal but then Ole struck. If we were on the back foot, I'd have okayed that sub but we weren't. For the 3rd Sheffield goal, Maguire and Tuanzebe didn't know who was suppose to be marking the goal scorer.
How then do you play 3CBs when you lack them

When you've a good midfield like City, your defense won't matter much as compared to Utd with MF crises

No. 1 problem in this team is laxity. That's the only reason a professional footballer fails to do basic things on the pitch. If a coach is expected to teach one those basic things, then why are you a professional footballer

James even with his less skills compared to Martial and Rashford, contributes more.
