As at September 2019,

Borrowings of Oando stood at N220.06bThis is inclusive of lease liabilities
Trade and other payables stood at N275b
Intangible assets at N430.8b
Negative retained earnings at N118b
Trade receivables at N113.8b

From the revenue side

Finance cost at N34b
PBT was a loss of N9b

What are the assets left with Oando Group and how much of these assets are owned by Oando shareholders.

This is a stock that should be avoided like a plague. The company is not an operator in any of its Oil assets because they do not have the competence to manage such. The Gas business is gone, the downstream marketing business is gone too. The upstream ownership is too complex and you wonder what portion of this belongs to Oando.

The company is a testimony of how not to run a company. Will people make money in the short term, YES but will it end in tears or joy. They will come back and tell us the stories when it is time.

Good morning house. A blessed day to everyone. Amen

Chibuking81:

How did they pay their debt? By selling most of their subsidiaries and their assets, not mainly from their gain. Anyway it's good to settle their debt, but in raising fresh money will be in the way of right issue, and will neutralize their price the more immediately after the offer, because the number of their outstanding share will rise.

Their debt is still huge 300 million dollar.
300 million dollar is equivalent to 108,750,000,000.00 Nigerian Naira ( one hundred and eight billion, seven hundred and fifty million naira)

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mcy56(f): 11:05am On Nov 25, 2019
Lasaco Assurance has been consistent with dividend payment for the past few years now.
A stock selling for 25k as at now paid 5k to shareholders for YE 2018.
Plan for Private Placement to 'strategic/selected investors' at 1.20k per share is ongoing.
Watching this one. Time will tell. smiley

Caveat: Not monkey hunting, just trying to get more details about it. tongue

Maybe somebody else should cross check too.
......but there are quite a number of companies not listed and are doing fine, some pay dividend to their shareholders as well.

It's such ANALYSIS that leads to PARALYSIS which made alot of folks miss on DIAMONDBK & DANGOTE FLOUR windfall.

"BECAREFUL NOT TO BE TOO CAREFUL"

HISTORY is about to repeat itself.

BARGAIN HUNTERS TAKE NOTE!

With due respect, Sir, if you're comparing Oando with "Diamond & Dangflour", then you're accepting the company is troubled and needs rescue. And unless you're privileged to have preknowledge of such rescue plans, any position in Oando is speculative.

You cannot, on one hand, use companies that were obvious going concerns before a "saviour" showed up to justify a buy recommendation on Oando and on another hand, argue that all is well with the same Oando. Its like speaking from both sides of the mouth.

All I'm saying is that OANDO worst DAYS are OVER they've done aggressive RESTRUCTURING & DOWNSIZING which means things can ONLY get BETTER.
