Galatasaray Interested In Signing 'New Onyekuru', Samuel Kalu & Why It's Not A Rumour Turkish champions Galatasaray are plotting a move for Bordeaux's Nigeria international Samuel Kalu. According to Turkish newspaper Hurriyet, Kalu has been offered to Galatasaray by a French intermediary following the injuries suffered by Radamel Falcao and Florin Andone. The report added that the unnamed French agent contacted Vice-President Abdurrahim Albayrak and said that he could bring Samuel Kalu, provided the winger's asking price is met. Allnigeriasoccer.com can report that though the identity of the agent remains a mystery, Kalu is represented by French-based agent William D'Avila of DW Sports Management, who has close ties to Galatasaray and Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr, so this is not a transfer rumour. D'Avila was among the agents that brokered the deal that took Henry Onyekuru to Galatasaray in the 2018-2019 season and also handles the affairs of another Galatasaray-owned player, Valentine Ozornwafor. Kalu joined Bordeaux on a five-year deal in August 2018 for a fee in the region of 8.5 million euros and has gone on to make 45 appearances for the Ligue 1 club in all competitions, scoring 5 goals and providing six assists. Rohr says CHAN failure not good for local players, picks holes in NPFL Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has lamented the failure of the CHAN Eagles to qualify for next year’s tournament in Cameroon, while picking holes on the organization of the NPFL. The home-based Eagles were eliminated from Cameroon 2020 by Togo. “This (CHAN exit) is not good sign for the local players, if they could not go to CHAN,” he said. “We therefore need better infrastructure, better level of football and for the players to play regularly, not for the league to be off for several months, players cannot be fit without regular competition.” Rohr restated his position that players from the domestic league must improve and be better than their Europe-based counterparts for him to consider them on his team. “They have to be better than the players who play in Europe,” he maintained. “I take only the best players. “Do you know of a coach who does not play his best players?” Source: Scorenigeria 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Nigerian league get tough on player attacks on referees The organisers of the Nigeria Professional Football League are determined to crack down on violence towards match officials The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has given a one-year ban to Nasarawa United's Paul Seun Komolafe for assaulting match officials during a top-flight game against Plateau United. Komolafe was also found guilty of 'inciting the club supporters to commit violence against match officials. The team's equipment manager, Aliyu Mohammed Hamzat, has been banned for life from all NPFL match venues and activities for same offence. The North central club will also have to play their games behind closed doors for an indefinite period and given 10 days to pay a fine of 4,250,000 naira (US$11,700) for breaches of league rules. The fine includes 1,250,000 naira ($3,500) compensation for the match officials. Club spokesman Eche Moses was also fined $300 and cautioned for 'releasing or causing to be released, a written press statement unfairly criticising match officials, a conduct deemed capable of bringing the League to disrepute'. Several attempts to curb violence in the West African nation's local leagues in the past have failed. The League Management Company (LMC), who organise the NPFL, says it hopes that severe punishments such as these for clubs will serve as deterrent to protect match officials and the country's domestic football. The LMC was set up in 2012 in an attempt to revive the troubled top-flight of Nigerian football blighted by leadership problems to TV rights and sponsorship disagreements, violence on the pitch, corruption off it and a badly organised calendar. Clementoke: I don't want to make this a big deal but how would Rohr have felt if he wasn't given a single friendly match before playing such important matches? Our main team played Ukraine and Brazil but who did the Chan team play to prepare? 4 years ago we played Yaya Toure's ivory Coast as preparation and he couldn't believe they were home based. Then last Tim we at least went on tour in Spain. This ishh is not rocket science. Failure to prepare is preparing to fail 3 Likes 1 Share |

Pinnick on Ebere Eze ”Can you imagine a midfield with Ndidi, Aribo, Etebo & Eze? "I’ve no regrets talking to Eze, who visited me at home with his girlfriend. "We talked at length in my house and I won’t relent on his pursuit until the deal is done. "He is Nigerian, the next big football sensation and I would rather he achieves that mission wearing Nigeria’s jerseys, instead of playing for another country." ”We need to make a solid representation at Qatar 2022 & it starts with improving on your squad with quality players like Eze." Source : Sporting life Pinnick should also not forget the Home front o. Our League need to improve please. 2 Likes |

WATCH OUT FOR NIGERIAN TEENAGE SENSATION NAMED JOSEPH JOHNSON AT WEST HAM UNITED U16 WEST HAM'S NIGERIAN Winger Johnson Takes Tally For The Season To 21 Goals. Hammers were beaten 4-3 by Stoke City in an U16 Premier League Cup match on Saturday, allnigeriasoccer.com understands. Regarded as one of the best 2005-born players of Nigerian descent in England, the winger came off the bench for the final 30 minutes. Johnson has impressive goalscoring stats this season, contributing to 31 goals (21 goals, 10 assists) in all tournaments. Likened to Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, he is on the radar of the Nigeria Football Federation technical committee staff ahead of a potential call-up to the Nigeria U15s, Future Eagles. Nigeria U15 coach Usman Haruna has opened the door for Johnson to train with the squad when the camp reopens. He has made remarkable progress over the last one year given that he managed only 17 goals over the course of the 2018-2019 campaign. Johnson is age-eligible to represent the Golden Eaglets at 2021 FIFA U17 World Cup scheduled to take place in Peru. Ifeanyi Emmanuel ANS 1 Like |
