Eyan Harrison Barnes. He was never the same after this.

Not currently Bruh. The Future MVP talk started right around the time He was drafted into the league. Remember we are talking about a Dude that generated a lot of hype even before He played a game for LSU.
Your Hype is different from your game. Same nonsense we've been hearing about Zion Williamson. He was known for the dunks and all that flashy stuff but it doesn't take a 12yr old to know Zion was overweight and nothing close to LeBron like the media was trying to tell us.
The hype is all about content for the media. It's how they make money. I don't think anyone who is basketball savvy bought that MVP crap after his ROY season and that disappointing playoff run.
Look at Stephen Curry, LeBron James, James Harden, Russell Westbrook and Giannis MVP year and show me if Simmons has shown to be close to what these guys have done. He a decent guy however, he has been very far from any MVP conversation.

How can we be watching what Luka Doncic is balling at Dallas and someone will now be mentioning Ben Simmons and you expect me not to laugh
That Luka boy was a finished product before getting into the league and to think he's just 20. Simmons still has a lot to learn and it looks like he's comfortable with where he's at.

What does this long diatribe have to do with the fact that China's policies played 0 role in Hong Kong's development. Which is the argument ab initio you obtuse cretin
Naah you juxtaposed china and hong kong and tried to portray them in a more positive light implying that this was owing to their policies.

You jump into foolish conclusions faster than an insecure girlfriend. Sheesh! I didn't even mention anything about who was running the better system you silly dingbat. Stop lying unprovoked
Actually... You did old man. I hear once memory starts to dissipates when he scales 30. Sorry old man, father time.

Shut up. You don't dismember a system that has been agreed upon and not expect push back you numpty! When a group of people feel their rights are being encroached it is only normal they fight back the way they know how. The secession agenda is not the theme of these present protests but if all else fails that is the card you foolish oppression apologists would try to play

When you want to hang a dog it is only normal to give it a bad name
They have every right do dismember anything they see fit, its their region and no one can change that.

Nobody asked him to support anybody. Stay neutral and don't criticize the people that do or did just to protect your interests then pretend like you're some form of activist

I am not sure people will be burning his jerseys if he did that

But they are overstepping their boundaries. That is the understanding till 2047 at the least. Stop bringing up past history you obdurate fool. That is not the issue at hand right now
So what exactly did he say to support china? He simply pointed out that Morey shouldnt have said what he said at the time he said it because the lakers and nets were on the way there. Would Morey have said the same if the rockets were headed there? it was incredibly selfish and ignorant of him.

Your naivete and ignorance is in assuming the fight and struggle of activism is only fought one way. Really stupid of you

Some people choose to speak, which is very easy to do because ofe l'ohun others choose to get things done silently. Neither approach is inferior or superior to the other

The question is when it became time for your MCM to speak why did he keep shut.
You just claimed speaking up achieves nothing which is extremely ignorant. Now jordan is getting things done silently? LMAO! Okay..

When has lebron not spoken up for his community? from police brutality to youth athletes, hes always stood up for his people. Exactly what put him at odds with a huge section of the country and even the president even at the detriment of his business. Something your man didnt do because "republicans buy shoes too" right? man the fact that you are comparing lebron and jordan off the court sums up how far the geordie shore is up his butt.

Wait are you talking about the hong kongers? you want lebron to stand up for the hong kongers? how about fvck the hong kongers. The same people who kick when he talks about issues he has first hand experience on and tell him to stick to basketball suddenly want him to talk about those spoiled brats to cause chaos? Naah, fvck that!

You are really stupid if you think handing out a dollar to every beggar on the street is the way to help a homeless person in the long term. You might have an issue with his bluntness which would be understandable but in the long run the MJ approach is still the best. Life can be unpredictable and people fall on hard times but it's the height of stupidity to advise a man to keep giving alms when they can advise said person to get work and be financially independent
Advise a mentally ill person with PTSD for instance to get a job? LMAO cheesy cheesy

MJs approach of mocking possibly mentally ill people is the best? Man, get off this mans dick. Like i said, homelessness is something that requires systematic change and if thats not something you can bring about at least do something to help them in the short term be it money or food or at least dont mock their condition by assuming its caused by laziness or can be solved by employment. Thats not how mental illness works, you should know better than everyone.

I'm sure it's the Patriots defense a collective of 11 BTW that won Brady his 3 NFL MVPs, 4 Superbowl MVPs, 3 TD titles and passing yards titles, it's also the defense that has helped Brady to over 70,000 passing yards.

Stick to whatever you stick to cause the NFL is not your forte
No one said hes a bum, but like i said using these titles to justify hes goat status is useless. As far as individual accolades theres no way you can compare him to a man with over a hundred nfl records. Its shameful that for someone who claims to know american football you cant put together a cogent argument on the topic. Not gonna lie you seem like a charlatan.

I don't know what Ronaldo's style of play and the 5 CL titles and European Championship he has led his respective teams to has to do with masculinity or femininity you homoerotic shitbrick
LMAO, why did he lead his team to all those la liga titles as well? or cup titles? This dude is still using team achievements to justify one someone who can literally do nothing better than messi to say hes better than messi. Dude, just tell me, what does he do on the field better than messi, one thing. Thats right, not a single damn thing. Ronaldo is not even the second greatest player of all time, get off his dick.

Thats the point. Someone here laughed off the possibility of him being an MVP candidate in the future.
What was laughed at was that he said the press thought Ben Simmons had MVP potential. I've never heard of it. I can't remember seeing anyone on ESPN mention that knowing what it takes to be MVP.

Yes, we can say has potential but you know that's not possible with his current performance. He's not even the second best player on his team and his game could use some major upgrade.

Hes a 7 foot PG who can handle the ball and pass as well as anyone in the league. Hes athletic and has incredible basketball IQ, came in as the first pick and hes only 23 years old. Of course hes not scoring much now because they have enough scoring on the team and his role is different.I'm not his biggest fan but to say he never had MVP potential is preposterous. The skys the limit for him. if people are buying that Siakam can reach MVP status then Simmons can be as good as he wants.

No one is saying Your Game is the same as Hype. What we are saying however is that both Scouts and Analyst thought He had MVP Potential. That He has failed to live up to that thus far is no one's fault be His but still does not negate the MVP potential many thought He had. And tbh there was nothing shocking about that statement at that time as He was pretty much the Unanimous No1 pick going to draft that year and more often than not, they do generate that kind of hype.

Your last paragraph butresses my point. Of the aforementioned players only King James came into the League with the sort of Fanfare. Recent examples would be AD and Wiggins. Whist the likes of AD and James were ever willing to improve on their games and took steps in doing just that, Wiggins and Simmons totally refused.

This brings me to the 2009 Draft were two of the players you mentioned were drafted. Blake Griffin was the one with the MVP potential in that draft not Steph or Harden. But hey look at where we are now. Heck let's look at the Bucks and Giannis. Jabari parker(remember the Jabari vs Wiggins debate going into that particular draft?) was the one many thought would be the Franchise player for that organisation nevermind MVP candidate but yet again that proved false.

All in all saying someone has MVP Potential is not guaranteeing that they'll win it. It is exactly as described "Potential". A lot of things has to happen for a player to reach that potential hence why we have a "Floor" and a "Ceiling" for most players.

He has never surprised me. Still the same Russell Westbrook I know since his horrible performance in that playoff vs Spurs where that old man called Tony Parker proved how overrated he was. Same vs Warriors in game 6&7 after they were up 3-1 when he was laughing at Curry's defense, vs 4-1 loss to Utah when he had Paul George. He never changed and doesn't want to. But his fans will tell me "but he averaged a triple double". To his defense, he doesn't deserve all the blame. The kind of coaching he has had through his career never helped. undecided

Probably that. He was neither a Dynamic nor an Aggresive scorer coming into League however many expected Him to develop that part of His game as He became more accustomed to the league. He was already a very good Facilitator and Defender and with His somewhat high BBIQ, everyone thought it was only a matter of time. Alas No.

Kidd's development somewhat gives me hope that maybe all is not lost but then again Kidd was simply a terrible shooter not a Non shooter when He came into the league.
I swear to God I never got the hype around Ben Simmons. This is not even out of beef or anything. He's a good player but I didn't see that supernova potential that joins your team and everything changes. I just didn't

He might still wind up improving and proving me wrong but I don't see Ben Simmons and think in the 4th quarter of a Game 7 or a tight game this guy can take over
