Unfortunately our society is wack and selfish. One would have expected the NBA or a group of good-spirited lawyer(s) to sue the govt to stop the arbitrary fee (and others).

You will foot the bill for us , if I had the wherewithal I could have. Same way someone sued lastma for imposing fines whereas it was established to control traffic not generate revenue.

But shouldn't the civil society, umbrella associations etc take up matters like this. For instance, NBA sued govt to get lawyers off SCUML list.

I have asked more than 50 vehicle owners with correct phone numbers like mine if they ever got any SMS and not one person did.

Assuming the SMS is sent out, is #200 justified as SMS fee. It is sad commentary when a govt decides to cheat or fleece the populace charging exorbitantly for a service we all know is #4, or do they send up to 50 SMS messages to each vehicle owner.

What moral right does the same govt have to adjudicate and/or sanction any monopoly service provider that cheats the citizenry.

It's advantageous if you travel to other states often. Lagos number plates are recognised and respected everywhere. You will earn respect even if u have Lagos number plate in ur home state.

If you have to travel to other states apart from your state of residence with your local number plate police will not let you rest. For example if you travel to Lagos with Ekiti number plate u will see that police will not let u rest.
