Hi all, Is it possible for job/position title to be different from job description/ tasks as per IRCC ? Example Position is Safety Officer (NOC 2263) but present jobs tasks are Accomodation Supervisor (NOC 623) alongside safety offier tasks. The safety officer task is actually monitoring the operational activities of the accomodation team. Working for the same organization ,where all positions involved works together. Started as Safety officer, but as part of economic challenges and staff reduction, some positions were merged. Job titles have been left the same way but job description changed. Questions -In creating in EE profile can I choose Accommodation 0623 as my NOC or must it be safety officer NOC -In making resume do I leave my position as Safety Officer but can include the Accomodation supervsior tasks? I ask because should I request for a reference letter , My supervisor/Manager/HR will indicate my position as Safety officer but would not mind adding the accommodation supervsior tasks as well as Safety officer tasks as my job description. Kindly advise. |

....It has ended in PRAISE. Finally IT'S PPR “When I think of the goodness of Jesus and all he has done for us...” It is my turn to give back to this great thread which I have gained so much from (part 3 till date) that I can pass for an agent as my friends always say. This is my very first post on this thread as i am a distinguished member of The Silent Readers Association. Caveat: Please ignore all grammatical blunders (I no sabi English) and please don't quote text. Thank you. And our testimony goes thus - TIMELINE: IELTS: PA 1st attempt_APRIL 21st 2018 (MOD)- LRWS-6,7,6.5,7 2nd attempt_JUNE 30th 2018 (MOD)- LRWS-7.5,9,7,8 3rd attempt_JULY 28th 2018 (MOD)- LRWS-8.5,7,7,8 SPOUSE 1st attempt_21st APRIL 2018 (MOD)- LRWS- 6,7.5,6,7.5 WES PA: SEPTEMBER 2018 WES Spouse: October 2018(not used) ITA: October 3rd 2018 (CRS 472) AOR: November 22nd 2018 MEP 1.0: December 31st 2018 BIL: January 4th 2018 S I L E N C E RPRF: APRIL 5th 2018 Ghost update: August 8th 2019 PPR 1.0 : August 9th and dated August 8th 2018. DW was working in VI and I always felt pity for her waking up 4am to prepare for work and returning between 8-11.30 pm Monday to Friday. In my own case, office was close to where we reside and I don't experience traffic in any form plus the fact that my work was very flexible. Thus I told her we are moving that this is not the kind of life I want to leave. ECA (WES) DW registered for WES January 2018 and requested for transcript thinking since we've paid the appropriate fees to her institution the people in charge too should do their job not knowing we were on our own. Nothing was done until around April/May 2018 when we paid someone to follow up and everything was resolved within a month. Faced with the issue of ABWA/ICAN ATS. We had a lot of back and forth eventually it was all resolved. Hence we claimed 2 or more certificate as it was written on her WES report IELTS Hmmmmmm.... We thought is it not English we are going to write and speak.... I got some materials online and practiced but DW was just like no be English comprehension, letter writing, essay writing and the English she has been speaking for ages. She only attempted to prepare some days to the exam and the result is as seen above. After the 1st attempt I was introduced to BARONS IELTS textbook which DW dedicated time to practice with and eventually scaled through. MEDICALS: Called Qlife for upfront medical and was given a date in November 2018. PCC ASP Moshood helped out here. Wifey could not go so i printed a copys of the police document and told her to thumb print which i took along with her passport. Paid 10k for both of us. WORK REFERENCE: DW who was the PA who was on her 4th Job after NYSC and we needed to claim 3 years plus. She only had a continuous 1 year work experience for her NYSC and her current job that just clocked a year. She was not ready to disclose her plan at her new workplace. So we had to find a way around getting reference letter from colleague and her past employers. Employer 1: Work reference in CIC format Employer 2: Employer was not ready to give reference in CIC format and was delaying in responding to mails. He just gave a regular format he chose himself. Thus we included our mail exchange with employer, letter issued, employment letter, few snap shot of salary credit alerts we could find in her mail from bank and resignation letter. Employer 3: Work reference in CIC format Employer 4: Reference letter from a colleague excluding salary (not notarized). Attached picture at work, employment letter, promotion letter last 3 months pay stubs. POF: All funds was in Stanbic MMF. We only submitted the reference letter issued (standard stanbic format) without statement and added snapshot of conversion from XE.com and Oanda.com SIBLING POINT: We submitted first page of phone bill statement, Copy of PR card, birth certificate (issued by the church),parent marriage certificate. We did not include passport data page as it was not requested. In all we tried to keep the application simple. POST AOR There was nothing eventful as it's seems our file was not touched after the BIOMETRICS. When we applied and received the first GCMS, we saw somewhere that case/file parked was written. During the wait wifey submitted renewed passport and also we paid the RPRF Fee just to see if we could trigger any action on our file. GCMS Notes shows only Medicals and Criminality was passed and others not started. This was after about 5 months and still no update. Several phone calls to IRCC seem to make no difference except the reminder they always put forward to the visa officer. Emotions were very high at some point as we had planned to have our new born in Canada but seem IRCC had their own plan. First PPR came at the point when wifey was out of the country and had to return within a week so as to submit passport at vfs. Passport was submitted mid-August and returned on 4th September which was too late to travel as Doctors advise us against travelling at that point. We wanted to take the risk but after considering all risk Involved we had to shelve the idea. Some days later our bundle of Joy arrived. Immediately we proceeded to obtain baby's passport and it was ready in 3 working days. Booked upfront medicals for baby at Q-life. Wifey and myself medicals will be expiring in November 2019 and the trend showed that re medicals was being asked for people whose medicals was expiring in 2-3 months. We decided to be proactive and we booked for up-front Remedicals at IOM as there was no space at Q-life. IOM team said it can't be done that we should wait for Remedicals from IRCC since our initial medicals was still valid and we would need IME number but I told them we are constrained of time et al. Eventually they agreed to conduct the test. We merged all documents that we saw online that would be needed to add a new born and sent to IRCC via web form and mail. Our file was reopened (we saw a ghost update) after about 3 weeks and we were asked to upload our newborns documents and now they requested for Re-medicals for wifey and myself. We just merged all documents together again and arranged it sequentially then uploaded to our profile on the 23rd October. Newborn was added and medical passed the day after. We saw another ghost update on the 28th October and we concluded that our file has been approved. Thereafter it was silence all through except mails and web form that their response was saying the ‘appropriate office/officer will get back to us’. PPR 2.0 mail came in 22nd November 2019(AOR anniversary) Most Grateful to GOD who saw us through this journey. I want to appreciate those people I messaged privately to inquire for one thing or the other and my November 2018 AOR WhatsApp Group... God bless you all. Permit me to single out @Seun(thanks for this platform) @Newmum0615 (helped out with the 2 NOCs we combined and always saying 'keep your application simple') @RamJ (always ready to give direction) @wizean(helped with transcript contact)and also @JustinTrudeau/@Safex(helped with ICAN ATS issues...pray IT A fall on you soon). Finally... OUR WATCH HAS ENDED IN PRAISE... 74 Likes 7 Shares |

[s]Don't bother yourself about 'confirmation'. The most important thing is that you have a Letter of Offer of Employment on from your organisation/company that states you are an employee, when you started work, conditions of work (such as working hours and remunerations) and then, it also mentions your roles. From your previous post, you confirmed that you have your payslips as well, which confirms that your current job is a paid one. Since you do not want the HR people to know about this process yet due to the reason you gave, then you should just go ahead. You should add an LOE to explain why you couldn't obtain a reference letter. These VOs are reasonable humans in my own opinion, just as long as you are keeping things plain and not falsifying them[/s]. Modified: I just saw your initial post from @Tolfa's response above that your job roles were not stated. I'm so sorry, the roles have to be there as that would eventually determine which NOC you fall into. I don't know anyway round this, except if you have a colleague who can write a reference letter for you on an A4 paper in the required format and include his/her relevant documents confirming such as a member of staff of your organisation. You can see @Kennson PPR gist above to see how his wife got a reference letter from a colleague.. Her situation then is a similar one to yours.

Modified response above. If you can get a trusted colleague to write you a reference letter as advised, you will have to worry about him/her being contacted if IRCC so desires, which is actually no worry. Collineno: |

Please, like that famous Johnny Walker advert, keep moving... Start learning French (Alliance Francais or other cheaper means) while hoping that the scores would drop consistently. Mieux vaut tard que jamais, the french would say.. Remember the pool is getting populated every blessed day and birthday, as much as one wishes it to stay away in this journey, will surely come, unfortunately, to steal from one! McTEE10: |
