ojeysky: does the inverter display instantenous solar harvest in watts?..whats the max, you hv seen from ur setup?, mine isnt doing so well now. i avg aout 1.6kw around 1pm from a 3kw array. max instantenous, i have seen is 2.45kw. dont know if i wud blame the CC or solar panel? |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by ojeysky(m): 8:16pm On Nov 23, 2019 |
earthrealm: From the previous graph I shared, I did 1.3kw today but I have seen 1.5+kw around 1pm before when I ramped it up with load because my battery is normally full by noon. What does instantaneous mean? as I don't have that on my CC. Perhaps if I know what it means, then I could find out on the CC or on my graph log. |

Hi, anyone using fangpusun especially the latest D series. I noticed the battery voltage reading is usually around 0.4V more than the inverter and standalone voltmeter readings. When the inverter/voltmeter reads 28.0V, the fangpusun CC reads 28.4V. and this affects the settings for absorption and float. Anyone experienced this? |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by earthrealm(m): 7:53am On Nov 24, 2019 |
ojeysky: Ok, did nt look at the graph b4. I see it now. Thats the instantenous harvest i was asking about. Which is your harvest in watts, at any point in time. Does it mean, the hybrid inverter doesnt show it? I guess u r using cheap panels as well, cos am beginning to see their output maxes out at 80 to 85%,. Ie 850w max from a 1kw array etc. I would try canadian panels on my next setup. And flooded batts, if i dont hv enough funds for lipo4. Fla are super rugged, takes abuse like a champ.jsut add distilled water and equalize..and they r back to life again |

earthrealm: It only shows realtime Hervest, it does not log it historically. What it logs is kwh for daily, week, year and since purchase.
My battery charge current has a maximum of 45amps so I had to limit the controller to 40amps which is around 1.2kw, I only get to see more Hervest if I load it up intentionally but even at that I don't get beyond the range you've indicated. Wonder if that means my panel is too cheap
I will be curious to hear how well it performs, am not sure it will give so much more to justify the cost. Personally I think my panels are doing fine for now. When I was on 1.5kw, there was a day I got 8.2 amps generation from a panel with 8.3a ratings
I had considered this when I was about to procure my AGM batteries but some literature suggests that one should not put it in the household due to its occasional gassing.

I use the 50A unit with display. Mine is higher by 0.2V, when battery is 27V, the controller displays 27.2V. BetaTechnicians: |

BetaTechnicians:Lol same thing happens to me. My inverter and battery monitor read same. But fangpusun always reads higher. I just did the math and set the fangpusun to match the bulk and float of the inverter |

Please who owns a shop around Onipanu axis or ikorodu road. I want to test a 48V inverter a guy in my area wants to sell. Thanks. I just need to test it for charging, idle power consumption, Charging currents etc. |

Folks am trying to make a choice on air-condition to use on my inverter system, between GenCool and GenPal which one of them is more energy efficient? Anyone with usage experience? |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by simydan(m): 1:19pm On Nov 25, 2019 |
ojeysky: Both will work. But for my personal experience, I'm using a 1.5hp lg gen cool on my 2kw generator and the gen does not blink when ever I put on the AC. Unlike when my 100w refrigerator comes on the gen slightly surge. |

Secretive energy startup backed by Bill Gates achieves solar breakthrough New York(CNN Business) A secretive startup backed by Bill Gates has achieved a solar breakthrough aimed at saving the planet. Heliogen, a clean energy company that emerged from stealth mode on Tuesday, said it has discovered a way to use artificial intelligence and a field of mirrors to reflect so much sunlight that it generates extreme heat above 1,000 degrees Celsius. Essentially, Heliogen created a solar oven — one capable of reaching temperatures that are roughly a quarter of what you'd find on the surface of the sun. The breakthrough means that, for the first time, concentrated solar energy can be used to create the extreme heat required to make cement, steel, glass and other industrial processes. In other words, carbon-free sunlight can replace fossil fuels in a heavy carbon-emitting corner of the economy that has been untouched by the clean energy revolution. "We are rolling out technology that can beat the price of fossil fuels and also not make the CO2 emissions," Bill Gross, Heliogen's founder and CEO, told CNN Business. "And that's really the holy grail". https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2019/11/19/business/heliogen-solar-energy-bill-gates/index.html?espv=1 2 Likes |

Pls does inverter cause lines in TV. An inverter has just been installed for m, after which this fault started. The thick comes and goes. I notice it clears off after a while then comes back. I don't know if it's just coincidence. My inverter is Prag pure sine wave by the way. Has anyone experienced this issue on their TV before ? How can it be fixed.. It's really disturbing because this isn't a period where we planned to get a new TV.

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by simydan(m): 7:18pm On Nov 25, 2019 |
Redberyl: That looks like a T-con board or flex fault. Maybe just a coincidence, you can try plugin the TV into a main socket not the inverter and see. If it persist then it means you have a T-con board or flex problem |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Nobody: 7:24pm On Nov 25, 2019 |
simydan:wow, thanks a lot. Someone also said it's a T-con issue, that inverter especially pure sine wave cannot cause this because it gives out a steady 220v current. |
