The $300m BUA Sugar factory/farm in Kwara is gradually nearing completion. Nigeria spends N300bn importing sugar.

According to reports, this plant will process 14,000 tonnes of canes daily to produce 200,000 tonnes of refined sugar, 35mw of electricity.

My friend this is old news the plant has come to a halt for 6 months there is no progress or activities going on at the plant. Even on the punch newspaper I read there was some protesting going on because of the slow pace of the sugar plant
