She has not done the surgery because when I fly her out they told us they cant do it for anybody less than 18 years because of her future. But she is ok waiting to go back there after 2 years for the surgery. Thanks for the concern. anselm791: |

Motunemotun: What you said is true. Pharmacists are the real deal. I consult them too. Most doctors in Nigeria are like Auto Mechanics. Using Trial and Error. 5 Likes |

One thing I do when I go any hospital is to ASK QUESTIONS about everything,if you can't answer me and explain well I leave immediately, I check every drug, injection and drip and SHOUT any conditions the person have. Any treatment I am not comfortable with I reject at once. 1 Like |

There are still some that know their onions and won’t just push drugs at u bt explain in details what they are meant for and the possible side effects that may be of concern to u. [/quote] that's the job of a Pharmacist they don't compromise that. Don't get it twisted.!! |

ednut1: Next time just visit a big pharmacy that has a resident pharmacist working there. It works like magic. With N2k to N5k you purchase the drugs that will handle your ailments. Bleep hospitals. 1 Like |

RonaldoVido: You go to pharmacist, they keep treating you symptomatically. You are happy the symptoms are suppressed. You get unlucky to come down with the complication of the real cause of the the symptoms Then you are asked to see a doctor to perform magic on a disease you already thwarted the classical presentation. Doctor battles with linking your atypical presentation to a diagnosis...it becomes trial and error. In the process, time is wasted, and a damage ensues which again doctor tries to at least minimize....to you, bad doctor S/he is. Please keep consulting the pharmacists, you reduce the workload for guys in the hospital. But when need arise to see a doc, please take full responsibility. 15 Likes 1 Share |

johnjay4u2u: If a patient complains about you as a doctor abroad, you are finished. The fear of being investigated, suspended or having their practice withdrawn is what keeps Nigerian doctors on their toes abroad. But they know nothing will happen in Nigeria. Quality service delivery is anchored on strong supervision and it is lacking in the Nigerian Medical practice. 5 Likes |

I was to see a Doctor while in 200L, after waiting for almost 2hrs a pretty female student came around, he attended to the lady. I told him it was my turn. In fact he returned my file to where it was brought. I went back to the hostel. 1 Like |
