There's no customer service in Nigeria especially government agencies.

Just because its not easy to sack them they over misbehave

I once went to collect a reference letter from uniport finance and banking dept just because the Hod secretary I refused to bribe her #2000 because as at that time I had only #1000 and I thought I would get it for free.

A letter that should not take 30minuetes this woman made sure it took 2months. When I finally decided to give her the money she refused to take, she would be telling me to come back next week just like that. This incident happened this year. And the woman is still there frustrating people.

Ordinary secretary for that matter o

The person she got their letterheads from, did they obey the civil service rules?
They did exactly the same thing that lady did.

Why do you want to die defending a senile civil servant who thinks she is a demi god?

Are you a civil servant? Do you have families in the civil service? Warn yourself, or warn them that this is what will befall you/them if they do not do their jobs.

The rot in the civil/public service is appalling. You will see one ediot who's monthly take home is what boys are using to drink beer, behaving like Idi Amin, just because of presumed "power". Ediots!

And you also believe she has been sacked because she tore your letter? If sacking someone is that easy, even in the private sector, then half of all employees would be changed on a yearly basis.
They didn't call you to testify, they didn't call her, witnesses of the event and vroom your mighty letter got her sacked
Even if she molested you, getting an employee sacked under the civil service is not done at the whims and caprices of one overlord sitting down somewhere,so don't start deluding yourself.

She should have thought of her family and the bread she wins for them before behaving in an unprofessional way. Left to you, nobody should face the consequences of their actions, we should just maintain the status quo right? Pardon trigger happy policemen, pardon dubious officials, pardon politicians, but do they pardon the people they're supposed to serve?

We need reorientation in this country. There is a difference between mercy and duty...

The FIRS is a revenue generating agency. Tearing an official document in such instance could be fraudulent.

She's lucky she was only sacked and not jailed.

Her destiny in life is to be a scapegoat to others. She definitely has achieved her purpose.

She should have remembered that before playing with her job. She complaimed and the FIRS made their decision, it is not her fault.

It is because of people like you our government staff act like they are law unto themselves. You should be happy.

Unless I read incorrectly, she did exactly what that lady did.
Using the power above. She got in through the power above. Somebody else from the woman's side wanted to get in through the power above which in this case is the woman. Hers seem more powerful. So the best bet is warning or even transfer but never sack. Even in the western world we hold so dear, she will never be sacked.

So my question still remain the same, are all.of them not the same?
Look at her arrogant post, "who is the boss now".

Yes, she is in Nigeria and with time, she will do exactly what that lady did countless times.

I don't use emotions, I apply simple logic. Law of nature is imminent. She should accept that when it comes knocking. Those she have at the top will not be there.
I have no problem with her getting the job at all but her arrogance and the lady getting sacked. U sack for the right reason. That, my dear, is never a reason.

Then she too should have remembered that she have a family to feed before acting like a she-god on a job that is not her family heritage.

More over she was warned.

That's how we accept a lot of impunities from those appointed to serve us without taking action, and this has turned our country into the lawless zoo it is now.

Why will you jail her?
It's obvious u cannot run a vast organisation
I know firs like the back of my hand. What the woman did is obviously very wrong. I never supported that.
That is how it is in hot organisations like that. Man know man. Somebody want to get in through the woman.
She want to get in also but through powers bigger than the woman. So are they all not the same? She won. Good but resulting in sack because her letter head was torn?
It's just power play and she was used. Firs is like former nepa hq. New recruits are used as pawns by the power above and a lot happen in there. She must have painted a horrible picture that made them sack the lady. She is still out there. She has her people inside the premises.
U don't excel in institutions like firs with emotions but logic. don't make yourself available for chess masters. U will be destroyed and the chess play continues.

Your attitude towards others goes a long way.

If she did cherish her job, she'd know how to behave towards people.

U get time. What if your company operations is affected by her actions resulting in loss and cease operations making you unable to get your renumeration to feed yourself or a retrenchment?
I don't do biz with emotions. I still dragged ₦25 with Airtel yesterday even though the event was a week old, but I no remember the matter till yesterday.
I had an issue with a UBA branch operations manager during my sch days, my account was debited for faulty ATM twice, also another debit for system compromise, only one of the 3transaction was refunded, I went to complain and the man passed the blame on me based on sey I be student, saying that is how we normally say, and I discovered that I have to go to branch everyday without any headway, eventually, there was a day he kept me from 10am to closing, and he said "young man how may I help you" in the presence of people (elders), I answered, what kind of foolish talk is that? So it turned to argument then violent, security should arrest me blah blah blah.
I scattered everywhere, they tried locking me up but i broke the door, I was later pushed out, I filed a report at the station.
The next day my dad came and they talked, the man apologized including the branch manager.
I eventually heard he was sacked due to accumulated issues with students.

Broad pls calm down,I truly understand and see things from your point

You know their are two sides to a story,in this case the victim and the perpetrator
I have people directly under me and I also conduct business dealings everyday

I was also a victim sometimes ago
After "finishing" from d university ,the normal procedure is to wait for the cleared list which contains the course you sat for...reference,missing e.t.c

I got to my department ,checked the board and noticed two things
First,my project score wasn't listed
I was graded in a particular course which I didn't register in my course form

I entered the office of the lecturer in charge ..
"Good morning sir" he started shouting and abusive
"Get out of my office"
At that point, I had to leave the office and i was told by
Some folks told me to write letter to the HOD ..I did

I was made to wait till eternity before correction, what the man in charge should have done in hours and/days
I was made to wait for close to two years

Would you have blamed me if I had sued the University and the lecturers got sacked for negligence of duty and making a poor student wait endlessly for two years for the fault he didn't cause

Bro...You know what

Congratulations to you if uve added me to ur enemity list

God help you carry the burden

wink
