i don't know about abundant Ndidi is the only quality DM we have. Esiti is not it for now while Mikel Agu hasn't overly impressed me truth be told

OMANBALA1:

It will be hard pressed to have Rohr play a non DM in the presence of abundant quality DM.

So we should still be playing him because of what he did last year now that we have players better than him?

Zero creativity because he is yet to get an assist in the 4 games he has played for the National team?

Go to Google n check how many assist he has so far in Rangers colors.

Atleast he was the best we can boast of in cm position prior to aribo's debut

I have never been a fan of his but that won't make me deny the fact that he has been decent so far. Aside aribo and azeez he is the best for us in that position.

Players have different and strong attributes that makes them better in certain areas than others so it depends on the coach to utilize these qualities which depends on the style and formation he intends to deploy in a particular game

How many assist does kalu, Iwobi, chukwueze hv so far in their national team careers?

Aribo have 4 assist with 5 goals in 24 games so far in the colors of Glasgow rangers.

It's a decent Stat for a player who just made the leap from league 1 football to the Scottish top flight.

The double pivot is not an excuse ooo. Ndidi makes more thoughtful passes, all Aribo does is pass to the nearest man and his final ball is nothing special.

This doesn't mean I am saying he is a bum because the boy can sure score goals and that goes against your double pivot theory

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to laud Liverpool loanee Ovie Ejaria after the midfielder got the better of Kalvin Phillips in the Whites’ 1-0 win over Reading on Tuesday night.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have returned to the top of the Championship with a narrow win. It was a tough night for the promotion-chasers, and the Royals threatened to give them a scare. Kiko Casilla made a couple of smart saves, and Michael Morrison missed a fantastic chance in the second-half.

But Jack Harrison scored late on to secure the three points for the visitors. However, it appears that one Reading player, in particular, impressed the Leeds fans on social media.

Ejaria has been outstanding for Reading this season. And he has been in particularly good form since Mark Bowen took over as manager, with two assists and a goal in the four games leading up to Tuesday’s clash.

And it is fair to say that he was excellent against Phillips. The Leeds midfielder is undoubtedly one of the best players in the Championship. But he seemed to struggle to get the ball off Ejaria throughout the game.

There were some delightful touches and pieces of skill from the Reds loanee. And some Leeds fans have heaped praise on the youngster.

And it has been suggested by a couple of supporters that the Whites should make a move for the 22-year-old. It must be noted that Reading have the option to make Ejaria’s move permanent (via club’s official website), but some Whites fans clearly feel that the club should consider a last-ditch bid if it is possible.

Here is how some of the fans reacted to Ejaria’s display…

Might get slagged off for this but I don’t care, Phillips wasnt great tonight and their Midfielder, Ejaria, was superb and run him ragged!

Phillips MUST be taken off set pieces too, he hardly ever makes one count.

I adore Phillips so there’s no scapegoating here #lufc

Tell you what that ejaria for reading was class tonight hate to say it but he torn Philips a new one ! Oh well top of the league for now and a big 3 points #lufc

2 defensive midfielders in front of the defense. One marks and one attacks. If you watched the last match Ndidi played as a lone DMF.

A pass the helps in the build up of a play. A pass that sends an attacker on his way. Joey either passes to iwobi or Ndidi. If he tries something else he spoils the ball.

Reading fans on Twitter have lauded Ovie Ejaria for his performance against Leeds United's Kalvin Phillips on Tuesday night.

Leeds secured a late 1-0 win at the Madejski Stadium, but the home fans were impressed with how their man in the middle performed.

Phillips would have been tasked with stopping the attacking threat of Ejaria, but the Leeds man was seemingly provided with the toughest test of his season.

Whilst Reading and Ejaria would have been disappointed with Jack Harrison popping up with a late goal, they can take comfort from the manner in which they battled.

Both Ejaria and Phillips played the whole game as Reading remained compact and strong in their shape and Leeds dominated possession.

Kalvin Phillips of Leeds tackles with Ovie Ejaria of Reading during the Sky Bet Championship match between Reading and Leeds United at Madejski Stadium on November 26, 2019 in Reading,...

Marcelo Bielsa's side were sluggish in the first half but did quicken things up after the break but they still weren't able to create clear cut chances.

Then Helder Costa provided a brilliant cross from the right-hand side and Harrison's bursting run into the penalty area resulted in him sealing the points for his side and putting them top of the table.

This is how a selection of Reading fans on Twitter reacted to Ejaria's performance against Phillips:
