You can easily used the search engine to educate yourself about Accra earthquake. and you comparing Japan to Ghana shows the real ignorance... the former is fully developed the latter is still developing.... Accra despite its earthquake prone , she has building of 27 floors, 19 floors and 18 floors and beyond .... and they are some 40 floors under proposed .... 1 Like 1 Share |

gallivant:Who is lying about Paris not having skyscrapers? People don't build skyscrapers today because of money. Those towers are costly! Who don't want to have more land by building skyscrapers? European economies are stagnant! If they will have a growth like Chinese, many engineering stuff were going to raise up like mushrooms. Its all about economic performance 1 Like |

Kazikazi:who says this ? sckyscraper is not a yardstick for development anywhere and Ghana is also not lacking in high rise building , so where the hate , Ghana already share its own indigenous made laptop call RLG among his populace as far back as 2012. Agriculture in Ghana is highly mechanized than many africa state , we used drones for water spraying , we used tractors on our farms , there is a high number of incubator that hatches eggs and more . there is a whole research body on crops and vegetation ..... Our seaport is digiized , our housing address system is also digitized so what innovation do you want to take about. we have interoperability on our mobile money and banks . we don't have bullet train Yet but we are building sky train soon ..... 1 Like 1 Share |

Kazikazi:ignorance talk , Germany ,swizz UK all can afford skyscrapers , it isn't just about economic activity, it is about priority.China continue growth still shows she is lacking in many area of development which European nations have perfected.common economical sense will let you know developing countries have the potential to grow faster because they are in a position to pursue “catch-up growth” by applying technologies previously invented in the developed countries. for example most of the machine that produce made in China product are mainly frim Germany. developed countries such as eurpoe are already operating at, or close to, the technological frontier, and as a result have no one to catch up with. Catch-up growth is almost always faster than frontier growth, which requires that developed countries come up with new technologies that have not yet been invented and fully utilized. China is still regarded as a developing country with more potential to grow . ... 1 Like 1 Share |

vaxx2:Ghana appears so great on paper! But on ground and on eye its a different picture all together. While u talk of highly mechanized agriculture, Tz is busy exporting agricultural stuff. While u talk of research on agriculture, Tz is giving home grown seeds to neighboring nations like Zambia. While u talk of digitized port,Tz port is busy receiving The panamax ships. While u talk about skyscrapers being not a yardstick of developments, Tz has skyscrapers and we are currently electrifying our sgr.Tz is doing it,not just putting things on paper

vaxx2:If Europe was not developed and let's say their economies starts to grow rapidly in this decade,do u think they won't erect skyscrapers? Why are u comparing old economies of Europe with today's new emerging economies of Asia and Africa? If Europe built museums, are u going to build old building too? I think comparing Ghana to Germany is no sense. Germany is an old economy.Germany was built long long ago. How can Ghana or anyone try to build the same thing which are outdated just because Germany has them? |

vaxx2:Here are the top 10 skyscrapers in Ghana Ghana has quite a number of skyscrapers but not up to 50 floors. Skyscrapers are very common in the United States of America, Asia and other parts of the continent. Tall buildings are becoming a preferred infrastructure for both developed and developing countries When you come to Ghana, we have quite a number of them, but not up to 50 floors. Here's a list of skyscrapers in Ghana. 1. Villagio Vista, Alto Villagio Vista, Alto is the tallest skyscraper in Ghana currently. The Villagio Vista, Alto is a residential facility with 27 floors. Just like the Villagio Vista, Azure, this building structure is also managed by Trassaco. And they can all be found in the same vicinity, Tetteh Quarshie, Accra. 2. Villagio Vista, Azure Villagio Vista, Azure is also managed by Trassacco. It’s the 2nd tallest build in Ghana with 18 floors. The Red Structure as it is called because of its red painting is not just tall but also very beautiful. It’s located at Tetteh Accra. 3. World Trade Centre, Accra The World Trade Centre, Accra is the third tallest building in Ghana. It’s occupied by the World Trade Center. It also serves offices for other businesses and financial institutions. It’s 17 storey building located in Accra Central. 4. Heritage Towers Heritage Towers is located at the Ambassadorial Enclave in Ridge. It’s the 4th tallest building in Ghana with 16 Storey building structure. Several financial institutions and business offices can be located at the Heritage Towers at Ridge. 5. Ridge Towers The Ridge Towers just like the Cedi House is located in the Central Business District of Accra. It houses not just financial institutions but also has several businesses. It was built in 2005 and it’s a 15 storey building structure. 6. Cedi House Located at the Business District of Accra, the Cedi House is 14 storey building structure. The Ghana Stock Exchange and the annex of Bank of Ghana can be found in Cedi House. 7. Chateau Towers Known as the Chateau Towers, a French word which translates as castle towers, the colourful three-block apartment, being put up by Hollywood International Developers Ltd. The 13 floors, 120-apartment project, which occupies a 1.2 acre land and dwarfs all other buildings around it, contrasts largely with its immediate surroundings. 8. Premier Towers Premier Towers is situated in the regional capital of Ghana. It’s near National Theatre and the SSNIT House. The skyscraper is 46 metres and has 13 floors. It houses Zenith Bank and Societe Generale. 9. VRA House The House is owned by the Volta River Authority (VRA), the institution empowered to provide the nation with electricity. It serves as the Head Office of the VRA. It is 43 metres high and 12 Storey building structure. 10. Villagio Vista, Aqua Located at Tetteh Quarshie near Accra Mall, the Villagio Vista, Aqua is the 10th tallest building in Ghana. Villagio Vista, Aqua is managed by Trasacco Estates and its a residential facility with 12 floors. As far as earthquake is concerned my real concern is how they ended up building that 27fl buildings in Accra which is apparently the tallest building in your country. and the 40fls you claim to be proposed. That clearly states that Accra Ghana got potential to build as many skyscrapers as possible. The only obstacles is your government finding it difficult to waste huge amount on skyscrapers or rather great investors are lacking in your country. Don't project your state of lacking skyscrapers to a non issue as far as far as development is concerned. Is not that am worshipping skyscrapers but fact will always remain. Even Kenya got Iconic short buildings and many highrises, legit apartments, e.t.c to cut the long story short, "any African " country that has skyscrapers are better off When talking of infrastructure Indices.. I can quote examples of South Africa, somehow Nigeria, Abijan, Tz(Dar) e.t.c those are their piece of cakes in development. |

Kazikazi:I get goofed up when you try to compare TZ to Ghana. ..... what ever you mention up there Ghana is doing four times of it. Ghana is a think thank nation for agricultural product in west africa. some of her researched crops have been used in neighbouring countries, it is also a big power house in pharmacy sector, Tema harbour is spreading with new fercility. it appears you know nothing beyond TZ. Ghana is a food suclficiemt nation, we produce both cash crop and vegetables 1 Like 1 Share
