Feminism is supposed to be about women fighting against unfair treatment by their male counterpart. But I'm afraid if you pay careful attention to what those in the forefront of their struggle are canvassing for you will realize that they want far more than that. I'm not afraid of feminists because I can easily differentiate them.

some of the American ones are particularly disturbing. Those ones are terrorists, not feminists.

The problem is that some men are guilty of pushing their wives into extreme feminism.

In the matter of equality, I don't want to go religious on this topic. But often times I have to school some men who claim to be Christians on this. People like to make reference to the old testament when it suits them but cling to Jesus in other aspect that suits them. Let me not go on, we can talk about these things in private if you consider yourself a Christian, so we don't derail this thread further, also to show regard to those of other religions here.

Chidonsky:
Exactly my point,is just beyond what it look like on the face value. It is suddenly like a virus eating deep into young girls, who now masked themselves with feminism as a cover up for their lapses.Even those who lack good morals and upbringing now parade themselves as feminist.I would gladly support the females against the fight on ill treatment but if it has to do with woman being equal with man then they should count me out. What most women lack from men in present day Nigeria is respect and simplicity of leadership.I mean men pusing those egocentric attitude behind them.

A humanist advocates for human rights irrespective of gender, a feminist is majorly concerned with female rights.

I cannot be put in a box. Today, you can see me advocating for women and tomorrow, I am advocating forr men. My own is for everybody to play their roles, without undermining each other.

There was a post on Quora where one stated that she cannot imagine birthing a male child because she sees men as beasts and she can not bring a beast into the world.

On the same thread, some others were agreeing with her, see testimonies of women aborting their own babies because they were boys. One said she can't find it in her heart to love her son the way she loves her daughter, and imagines he will grow up and rape a girl.

The same mentally unstable people kept saying, "My husband is different though, I have worked on him......"

I did not know if I should pity the poor boys these witches were aborting and abusing, or the husbands they must have successfully emasculated and stripped of their sense of self.

ok i know this forum comprises of people of different religion, mentality, belief and opinions. But it may interest you to know that some how they all interrelate in some affairs.I think concept sometime try to fuse out some important element in human life just to perpetrate an ideology either for good all bad.All religion kick against ill treatment and disvalue of human life. This days am weary of so called clergy men who ways of life is distasteful of truth, respect, love and unity.Juvenile delinquency has destroyed life and values other wise we won't have such a wayward trend.

smiles...I understand as a lawyer it is impossible not to be a humanist/feminist....

my cousin... a guy who is a barrister has a very soft spot for feminists that was unlike him before...when we were growing up.
likewise some of my male friends who are barristers.... I really understand.

but you see women are unique beings.... I hate see a woman cry or being taken for granted but still no matter her achievements or the likes she should respect and be submissive to her husband and never draw shoulder with Him in any way.....
and likewise a man is to love and care for his wife wholeheartedly.

with this...everyone will be fine...
many of this feminism and chauvinist principles all birth chaos and fights in homes and rarely brings peace.....

Thank God you offered a helping hand to that girl who k now by now she would have made the wrong choice. Most girls follow trend just to belong.I think there is much work for parents to do in child upbringing unlike before because of negative trends.I heard a story of a girl who his dad sent to school to Canada, when she came back she held her dad to ransom on female rights.Suprisingly she has become a feminist, her dad look with outta of shock as her daughter now hold him on debate that always end with disagreement.

Our scout is a top football expert who attends matches each week searching for the next star.

This week they give Sportsmail the lowdown on Reading's on-loan midfielder Ovie Ejaria, who is valued at £1million by the age of 22.

He is showing versatility under Mark Bowen at the Madejski Stadium and our expert looks at what he has got, and what he needs to add to his game.

OVIE EJARIA FACTFILE
AGE: 22

CLUB: Reading (on loan from Liverpool)

POSITION: Attacking midfielder

VALUE: £1m

WHAT'S HE GOT?

This tall 22-year-old attacking midfielder is currently playing in a forward role supporting his frontman in a Reading side trying to revive their season's fortunes under new manager Mark Bowen.

He has had a good apprenticeship. A London boy, he left Arsenal for Liverpool and has now been loaned to the Berkshire club. He certainly catches the eye with dazzling close dribbling skills when he receives the ball.

A right-footed player, he coped with challenges. He was marked closely, and I would like to have seen him take his marker into wide areas to leave space for team-mates or to make forward runs to receive the ball beyond the striker. But he did show a powerful right foot shot on two occasions when I watched him.

His goal record does not look great but I saw enough to think it can get better. He is certainly an interesting player, one of the most skilful at close quarters that I have seen for some time.

He frustrated me when I was hoping for an end product. His play on the ball is exceptional and composed but often it is all taking place on the spot. I wanted to see variation and more involvement but I do think he can acquire these qualities.

From a central position, he did not give enough problems to the opposition defence. It may be that a spell as a box-to-box midfielder may bring out more qualities and make his appreciation of the game greater. There is a need to open his game out and extend those long legs to bypass opponents.

At times he reminded me of the way Jack Grealish at Villa poses on the ball but I have the feeling that a strong coach could encourage him to develop his game.

As a powerful young man it is not too late and he has already had loan spells at Rangers and Sunderland that will have been useful. He has a great opportunity — on the back of ample natural ability — to make strides
