Help! My Export Company Dream Is About To Die. by olumide3367(m): 8:34pm On Nov 27, 2019 |
Hello Nairalander My name is Olatunji Olumide Joseph. I am 22 years old Associate degree graduate of mechanical engineering. I set up a company (Hollyway Global Investment Int'l Ltd). What brought about the company? Two things. First, I hate the notion of working for people. And secondly, I look around me and discover that the rate of fraud from Nigeria and Africa is scaring away people from Europe, Asia, America from dealing with us but they seriously need what we have. Like what? They want to buy our charcoal, cashew nut, bag of onion but anytime they make such demands, scammers are always the first to answer them and at the end dupe them. So my company Hollyway Global is a Nigerian Agricultural Firm which into Foodstuff sales and supplies, export and general merchandise. Our foods stuff includes :melon seed(including Ground egusi), ogbono, palm oil, stockfish, dry fish, garlic, bitter kola, dried vegetable leaves, rice, beans, garlic, soybeans, cocoa seeds or powder, wheat, sesame seeds, cassava products (starch, tuber and flour), honey, shea butter, kola nut, charcoal etc. It was incorporated on September 4th 2019. I set it to breach that gap.I have gotten all necessary tools to work and ready for business. I Opened a dormicillary(dollar) account as well as current account with sterling bank. I Apply for export license and open a website for the company(I won't drop the website name here sorry). Lastly, I did premium registration with a b2b website(go4world.com) to get customers.Etc. But my hands are tied as I don't have capital to work. The buyers are coming to my website and I do get demands through my email every single day for products I can easily source here in Nigeria and export to them and make money in US dollars. They are serious and ready to buy but demands for prove that i have the product ready. What they demand is this. I wan buy from u. You get am ready in bag? If no, no deal then. If I get capital, I buy it and package it in company brand packaging. I don't just know how to get capital. I just dey frustrated and afraid that the company will go down the drain as a dream. I met bank but them no gree give me loan because I have no collateral and my company na start up. Please how can I get loan for start up? How can I get a serious investor to finance my company and keep my dream alive? P.S insert is some of the demands to my email daily. 1 Like

You need elders to help on this issue. Or Letter of Credit Post this same thread in business and investment sections, you may find help there. I know some guys that specialise in this, but honestly I can't make out time to sort through hundreds of contacts now For now, post in multiple sections Good luck with your hard work. I see you succeding Remember Letter of Credit is how these deals are done not cash/finance/investment. You needed to have tutored first under a mentor to know the internal dynamics. Nonetheless, follow up on this feedback as the answers you seek lies in " Letter of Credit" or " Project Financing" 1 Like |

In every business, you have to start small. So pick the commodities that are not capital intensive. A few kgs of Bitterkola, vegetables, onions, etc. Raw Cashew Nut (RCN) is capital intensive. Even the big boys can't do 100tons. 100tons is about 180,000usd or more if the order is CNF and a little more with insurance (CIF). Forget about letter of credit (confirmed or not), you still can't achieve anything with it without a collateral. Even with a transferrable LC, you still need money to transfer an LC. From the tone of your chat, you are still a greenhorn. You need experience to approach BOI as well. Have you done any export before, obviously no. But you want to start with RCN, lol. The big boys don't even have a website, they prosper on referrals. Boy, raise 100k and start with few kgs. Visit the source of the commodity you want to export. Most of you just sit opposite the PC thinking everything will come to you. Visit NAHCO to get quotes because those few kgs will go via air. It is not even RCN season yet. I wish you luck. 12 Likes 2 Shares |

Huge potentials for cashew export exist as the crop and the nuts are becoming popular overseas. The country is blessed with several plantations of the cashew. The above development indicates massive opportunities for you in exporting cashew abroad for impressive income. Personally I think you jumped in with both legs. I'm also a young entrepreneur but I know that every business needs to grow and growth takes time. All those incorporated, website gbo gbo e nah over do. What you need now is to be a middle man(broker) to gather the funds you needs. You did amazing and you have a really nice platform, the locals don't. But they have the produce. So, produce+platform=Product. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

kong4: My brother, something is not right about this thread. I smell a big rat. Honestly. And I keep asking myself why Nigerians are desperate? Sir, you spotted what I saw too. And I will ask this OP one simple question. Let us wait and see how he is going to consult his masters to bring here another format. Lol. Bro, a don dey this game .....e don tey.. (I am in this game...its now 15 years...lol). I have blocked millions of dollars oil fraud. Lol. The format they were using at a time was just funny...these fake sellers will even post 2% bond of the total contract in a Nigerian fake bank account...it is why big contracts require special banks in the US and UK these days. Ha! I am just laughing when I read this thread. Boys have no more conscience honestly. And to think that NL is where they can get fund is what baffles me. It is ridiculous. But wait....NL users are naive....many desperate people here. 2 Likes |

Nigerfine3: You know you have written me many times, and i have told you the honest truth, but you do not want to listen sir. You will soon run into a 419. Mark my words. Or, you are a 419 yourself. This is my second post I will point this out to you. In the same thread with healthserve again. You people should fear God, and pity Nigerians na. I gave a colleague here an advice that he should set up very well before leaving Nigeria. And you are a good example of what I want that guy to avoid. But in your case, you may still correct it.....or you are just a scammer. Oga, i left luxury and comfort in order to understand the process in Nigeria. And trust me, there is money here, but the hurdles are too much. You better start looking only into short term cycled production (read the responses I posted on NL yesterday) at this initial stage. Oga, come to Nigeria and do your sfuff. Find a way to create 3 months vacation for yourself annually. If you cannot do this, pocket your money. And do not waste it investing in anyone. Let go off the idea of having a supervisor on your farm. You are wasting your time. You will end up wasting your resources. Get into broiler and vegetable production Learn it, do it by yourself. Get shades and greenhouses for smooth production. Pack inside your greenhouses net and cover. Leave the galvanized frame outside after each cycle. Return the following year and put over the frame your net and cover again. Do not ever use improvised structure. I have advised you, but it seems you are bent on using 419 boys or hungry consultants who will play african magic on you. Or perhaps you are still playing your game. Still in the same threads with healthserve. Guy, you better be extra careful. I know that $1 is about N350 when sending money home. And with poor people around here who cannot even afford just $50 to buy irrigation kit ($50 to you is a peanut if it is for business that can generate income), so you are tempted to just send it and take the risk. From $50, you will graduate to $50,000. Do not worry. It is just a matter of adding three zeros to $50. But, i smell rat all over everything about you too. If you are clean, stop going about NL showing signals that you are a 419. What is wrong with you? Why try to synchronize stupid offers? To lure people into it? You put comments where you are not to put at all. For what? Or so that people can know you reside abroad. And then abroad people can also start tapping in. So, you quickly wrote that you have a foreign number. You better be careful. 6 Likes |

Pistotita: Now mods is this not blackmail where someone accuses another for fruad he has no connection with? Blackmail, smearing, image tarnishing is taking over the image of legitimate persons going about doing businesses by people who envy them Cc Divepen1 MrKnowItAll Dominique Pavore9 Nigerfine3 FarmTech FOD Pushkin Naijacutee Why are we accepting cyberbullying/harassment/cyber-stalking/smearing/blackmail without punishing the offenders. I'm being harassed by this jealous entity and have been complaining to the mods for almost two months yet nothing is being done about it. If we have a shameless cyber terrorist unleashed upon the forum who for months won't desist from cyberstalking, blackmail, smearing, cyber harassment should such an offender not be banned for one year so the forum suffers the loss of one mentally unstable entity who goes about damaging the image of perceived competitors? 1 Like |

healthserve: You this man.... hmmmm Seun, FarmTech, Pavore9, you guys better investigate this person behind this moniker. That mod who deleted my comments on that goat thread has put NL users in real trouble. I know scammers when I see one. You people better check this boy very well. I will quit this NL if you guys do not check out this boy. I will leave because, it seems it is obvious NL is not protecting users. NL is after the number of visitors here. This is what I am getting from you all. You better check this man. How come he is always the first to make comments on all these useless offers? Now, he is trying to be careful with his choice of words....not directly backing his boys again. That goat thread they opened is a cover up. NL, be careful with this man. I have warned you enough! Seun, if your mod deletes this post....I will quit NL this night. I promise you all. I will. And never and never will I return to NL again. Never! 2 Likes |

healthserve: Oga, keep shut. You are always synchronizing bad offers. It was an offer you synchronized that I bursted you that made you to threaten my life. I still have the pictures of your threats. You are always supporting frauds. What is wrong with you? I need this OP to come out and defend himself, and I will start pointing out loop holes. You are not clean. And you are not experienced.
