Went to licensing office here in CALABAR but was told no number plate is not available Nationwide that frsc machine had issues. can anyone confirm this. Driving around without car registration is scary.

You can’t get it next week if you are a fresh applicant. Firstly, you have to enroll to driving for a driving school certificate

Sorry, I am not familiar with the process.

But whatever you do, don't use those guys that are always hanging around outside the license office.

They will rip you off and give you a fake license.

That is absolutely correct.
I paid the sum of 25K to an official of the licensing Office for everything at the Odogunyan Office, Ikorodu. For 5 years license duration. Even the FRSC collect same, but you may be lucky if you have a superior bargaining power. QED.

Go to a licensing office or road safety office and make sure you follow all the due process and be patient.
Don't go through touts if not you will end up with fake license

. But why not just register it once and for all. Assuming your old car number plates is a Lagos number plate, you can use it on your new vehicle. You will only pay the fee for existing number plates and new vehicle documentation

The amount and duration it takes varies.
You will be given a slip of paper to use temporarily and only God knows how many days it will take then you will get a phone call or text message to come for your drivers licence.
