Third time my TBill failed to go through. What is wrong with CBN? It's like many are investing on TBills while running away from actual business. |

igbizen:Nigeria na dog chop dog society, if you are not smart with your satellite eyes mounted on top Mount Everest, to screen / scrutinize any portfolio before investing in it, Banks, investment houses, CBN, NNPC, Buhari and his gangstas will collect your small money you have labored for, for years to drink beer, you know how many people lost their investment to different kulikuli banks in Nigeria in the past, and nothing happened to the big thieves that committed the robbery, what about MMM>>> moku, mogbe, modaran, also called scratch my back and I scratch your own, the operators don vammoose with millions out of Nigeria and they are sleeping in cosy hotels abroad sipping Russian vodkas 6 Likes |

RealityShot: Since Aug 2017 CBN has artificially held USD rates to boost their 2nd term ambition. Now that we are in NEXT LEVEL the chances of NAIRA crashing by next year are HIGH. This what MOST investors chasing low TB rate aren't DISCOUNTING. 8 Likes |

Hello fellows Going by this new drop in rates by CBN, we need to carefully analyse what will likely happen next year with regards to rates. My thought: Cbn might be aligning with borrowing cost as referenced in d proposed national budget .so there's d need for us to study that budget It could be that cbn in its attempt to free up d foreign exchange market next as rumored by aligning all markets to one n allow d interactions of demand n supply is reducing cost of borrowing in exchange for any surprises in d forex market. It is also important to get n study cbn's budget with that of DMO. I also believe all of this might be coming on d advices of d New National Economic team or advisory Please let's all dialogue 4 Likes |

Sorry for derailing this forum. Someone is planning for long term investment and he wants to know how much quarterly interest he will make if he decides to invest 7.5m in FGN Savings Bond for 3yrs at 14% rate. He's planning to go into this whenever CBN is done with its magic policy. |

fineguy11: We find it convenient to kill and destroy our own with unsubstantive reports. Further charging the nation negatively. As the cloud of negativity continues to overshadow many efficient legitimate businesses/organizations. It gives Nigerians pleasure to give negative reports with the typical attitudes filled with cynicism. I visited Lapo earlier in the year, and it wasn't the regular Lapo or regular micro finance of yester years. You guys are doing a great job with improved professionalism The rule remains Facts before and above emotions I salute your new-work ethic guys. |

creategist:The support will certainly stop. Then, every importer is left to source for dollars in free market where forces of demand and supply hold sway. With much Naira pursuing dollars, exchange rate most likely will not favour the Naira; hence loss in buying power of the Naira. From all indications, I sense devaluation of the Naira in no sooner than later (I stand to be corrected). The Federal government has tried to hold the Naira afloat for so long and may not be ready/able to maintain status quo going forward. But, can the Naira withstand the effect of free market? This is rhetorical Inquisition, just ponder! 3 Likes |
