If you do t do what your mind tells you and allow it to be co trolled?the day you are gone. Same woman will do as she pleases.

Are you in anyway hurting her by watching TV?maybe her marine spirits have commandedbthat she can only pass in those arrows when you are right beside her on the bed.

Why not follow you and sleep on your laps.

Okay, here's the thing

A friend of mine got married less than a year now. He has this habit of sometimes waking up at night (anytime between 2:00am to like 5:00am) and go to the leaving room to watch TV (mostly weekends). Most if the time, he is back in bed before 5:00am.

But his wife gets mad at him for leaving her side. He said that she is usually fast asleep in this period, it's not like they're going to have sex, or have a conversation or anything. She just wants him to be in bed beside her.

He thinks it's he didn't do anything wrong... I think so too

Please married men in the house, do you experience this too? Is my friend wrong to watch TV in the living room at night leaving his wife's side or is the woman just over reacting?
Below are the two tested and trusted solutions:

1. Your friend should buy a TV for their bedroom and if she complains about the volume...he can just trick her by saying: It's either I stay here or I go to the sitting room tongue

2. They can turn their sitting room to bedroom every night by simply carrying their bed there grin

3.OP mind your business before your business mind you
Now that we're done with this....

This one leaves his wife at night to watch TV. The other one presses phone till 1am and sees nothing in it. One claims to be the most hardworking architect...another says it is power tussle...There was one in family section whose husband goes out and comes back by midnight. Seemed normal to some women and men too.

Be like Naija marriages na live-in flatmates them be. Na real wa!!!

You go soon enter, no worry. On the regular I typically get up between 12 and 3 am to try and get in some work.

If you are not putting down law as man of the house ( you people will watch what I want to watch) then it is after everyone has gone to bed you may get to watch your own tv. Between madams zee world and the kids. PBS etal, there may be no time for daddy to watch his own tv shows and unwind.
Oyibo couples often seem to have the same interests. That’s the vibe I get from lurking on blogs. Rarely the same in naija. So you have to find your balance.

I have been married for more than 10yrs, for most part of this year I have also being waking up around 2am, but in my case instead of watching TV I'll be on my phone browsing. As for me I don't see anything wrong unless the woman has gone on soul travel and want somebody to be by her side to protect her soul

I find your observation very interesting. That's why I am asking. It could be that oyibo couples place greater value on finding shared interests beyond the typical male and female stuff with men being more into sports and women into other TV shows. But I don't know either.
