IMF came with that insurance cover when all Africa currencies were tumbling down.Kenya of course breezed thro that crisis like it did other global economic meltdowns.We never took a coin from the standby facility.

you never took a coin because you didn't qualify to take a coin due to your unstable government from 2016 to 2018 and now in November 22nd this year,you have invited the IMF team to reaccess your debt riddled economy and look at your government's introduction of petroleum taxes,VAT and cuts in spending in order to qualify once again for a bailout cushion loan.Now your debt to GDP has risen to 62%,you're using 55% of your tax revenue to service old debts and taking in more debts to service old debts which is foolish.Poverty,hunger, famine,flood,mudslides etc are killing your poor people daily,listen,Kenya is an extremely poor country.

in a prudent financial management that is not controlled by morons like the case of China colony "kenya" , financing debt with another debt will be ideal if the debt provide lots of benefits, and if they don't impose lots of taxes. The easiest way to do this is to borrow the difference between revenues and desired spending. Someday your country kenya will be in a problem since the little left over are used for salaries and good consumption.

More public debt has two baleful effects. Firstly it requires servicing , the government has to pay interest on the loans, and these come out of taxation: so more taxes have to be paid the reason you are overtaxed - which does not help growth. kenya can't developed in this manner , unemployment and hunger will persist. becuse your central bank will be tempted to keep the interest rate low, so as to ease the drag on government revenues: possibly too low which we leads to malinvestment as we see in your case where salary and politicians rakes most of your revenue...
