Even when 26 was shortlisted for screening last year it wasn't 2 or 3 per state. Some state have as high as 9 candidates that scaled through last year.

Oral interview serves to test somethings that mere written interview can't see.
How bold and confident are you without being arrogant.
Do you have speech problem such as stammering and stuttering?
How good you are with spoken words.
As an officer you should show no sentiments when under pressure.
If you are actually a graduate, how well do you know your onions?
Now judge yourself on those but remember the God factor and godfatherism factor also.

I heard that there are scenarios in which candidates who didn't face board interview still end up seeing their names on the final list, has anyone experienced such?
