If I'm Dogara, I won't accept it.

From grace to grass. From Speaker to minority leader. Even that name, minority says much of a worse case.
Dogara is even better than Mr oto geee of kwara state but it will be big shame for Dogata to be a minority leader .

You have a point. But I still prefer Saraki option. Had he returned, he would be tipped to be the minority leader in the Senate. Now that he didn't return, he can be referred to as an elder stateman.

This reminds me of Nancy pelosi.

Its all about 'delivering good democratic benefits' to your constituents first and foremost and the country at large.
Titles matter but the bigger picture is "are my constituents the better during the period I am representing them?"

Dogara and Saraki's emergence as the speaker/senate president back then gave me a deep meaning to the yoruba adage that says ''obe gbigbono kon se nkan a sare la''. A very hot stew is not something you hurriedly lick. The effect of your haste /impatience will be a burnt tongue and loosing your taste bud. Politically, those two might never be relevant again in Nigeria if care is not taken. I am not God though and I don't know what tomorrow hold for them but using human permutations, I doubt their relevance anymore.

You assumption is that APC will be in power forever, but you may be wrong.
Even if APC will be in power forever, those two can always decamp back to APC in the future and still be welcomed with open arms. Despite the unprintable things Akpabio said about APC in 2015, didn't he decamp in 2018 and APC made him a hero?

Dogara should kukuma resign from house to retain his relevance. Him accepting minority leader is perfecting the dead end he has toed its path.
I don't know where Nigerian politicians keep their dignity.
That's how a senator accepted to be a commissioner in the east in the last administration and another senator became Senior Technical Assistant to the Governor in same state.

You are speaking from the short term view. In life, the long term effect of something matters the most. When making decisions in life, long term effect can either make or mar you. Their decisions, their choices.

You are indeed a man.
Your disposition tells a lot of the quality of man in you. Ride on dear.
Am happy the society still have some men with some element of conscience in them.

lol. It is finished. From Speaker to minority leader. The sound of the word minority gives this belittling feeling. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin That is what you get when you choose the betrayal path alongside Saraki.

Concerning the Total oil and gas young graduate program, you said they've started shortlisting last month. Any news about it? Or has the program been cancelled?

Which relevance are you talking about?, the two have occupied 3rd and 4th person in the country for 4 good years which is enough to keep them in the books of Nigerian history, even if they go home and become farmers we cant wipe history that they occupied these strong positions, trust me, if they were loyal to APC they will never be allowed to taste those seats, IMO they won more than they lost
For me Dogara should allow someone occupy the minority leader position and chill at the back seat of the house.

Shortlisting is over, what is next is scheduling the test.. No update on when test will happen as the person in charge is not around.

the person is back, however I don't know if why this year's recruitment is taking long. I sincerely don't have answers as at now. Exercise a little more patience, I believe once they are ready they will fast track the whole process for example when they were ready for us last year we did two interviews and medicals within 20days..

Nothing ooo, no single update
But I am still optimistic that they have not cancelled the recruitment as they will need to replace the present set who are more than half way to completing the YGP.
