Hmmmm, Anambra is on the verge of an industrial Explosion , the type that has never happened in the whole of Africa, but my problem is can the Anambra people handle what is about to come their way , rapid urbanization , influx of capital , influx of goods , influx manpower with their short comings etc , exploitation of land , industrial waste outputs , destruction of river life , farm land .

Anambra might be the first state in West Africa to witness an industrial revolution / explotion

It's not going to be "might" any more, once the power supply issues are resolved. African free trade area, where African indigenous industries are preferred is the in thing now.

Anambra will easily over come any of those head wings, if they follow my advice now.

1). Complete that memorandum of understanding between one Anambra business man ( name forgetten) and a Chinese heavy equipment manufacturer, so as to have massive assembling of heavy equipments of all types here in Anambra state. Equipments/parts/maintenance as a component part of infrastructural projects constitute up to 90% cost of most of these projects.

2). 100% of all these projects must be in the hands of youths below the age of thirty and on a twenty four hour basis.

3). Innovative ways must be fashion out on a massive renting out of these equipments into the hands of youths at all time. I think GPSing these equipments will do the tricks.

This is simply how is done you all. There is no other way. In US, it has become a culture some what to see regular pick up trucks towing all manner of equipments either from home Depot or else where. Calculate machine work output per hour... and then calculate thousands of these machines in the hands of the youths.

Beautification of Regina junction Awka

Very nice and glad the government is taking the idea of green spaces seriously. One suggestion, they should redo the "Stadium" site inside Awka as a proper public recreational park along the lines of the South-African designed Agodi Gardens in Ibadan. Complete the soccer field with artificial turf and running track, and get a good architect to design the rest of the site as a park with trees, lake, sitting benches, walking paths, shower rooms, restaurant area, children sand pit and playpen, a little arena for small musical shows and a parking lot. Charge a small upkeep fee like Agodi for anyone entering there. It would be a much needed relaxation place for families, government officials and visitors on weekends especially and could also be used for thematic weddings.

Also good to see them putting traffic lights at key junctions. Already you see it is organizing traffic rather than the chaos of before. The Commissioner for Transport needs to also start getting vehicles off the sides of the expressway into enclosed parks.

Two notable things that often discourage investment in Anambra are:

1. Difficulty to acquire industrial land (Already solved by Obiano with land bank to investors)
2. Basic infrastructure such as roads and steady electric power supply

For the second obstacle, i don't know what is being done to address it.
We need to look for investors that will build mini gas powered power plants and distribute power in identified industrial estates.

If we make it very easy for businesses to come to Anambra and set up their manufacturing base, then the state will realize it's natural potential. To be clearer, only in Anambra north senatorial zone do we still have amble land to organize into industrial estates and agro-manufacturing clusters.

That is why i implore Obiano to make Aguleri, a city known as a hub for agro-industrial manufacturing / oil and gas industries by making land available around the city for industrial estates. Aguleri is naturally positioned to lead the industrial revolution from the northern part of the state and complement what is happening in the southern part of the state. Aguleri has the location advantage and landmass to make this happen. Not even because Obiano is from there.

Rubbish.

If you have money come and invest and stop posting rubbish here.

Others are investing, come and do yours and stop using your phone to be snapping every road you pass.

My brother, where there is a will, there must always be a way out. Innoson, over coming these difficulties attest to this truth. It can also be achieved through public private partnership (PPP)

There is an "urgency of now" and Anambra must leave up to its name as "the light of the nation" and move head on and implement those my recommendations. With respect to energy/power. The ongoing trade war between US and China which is projected to last up to twenty years , have beginning to see Chinese investments in different sectors(energy.. renewable and etc) moving into SE Asia and Africa. Anambrarians must draw the attention of some of these investors into our region because we overly represent in China.

The urgency of now implies, that those recommendations are needed like yesterday in order to confront "THE" major head wings of forth industrial revolution, block chain technology, algorithm, artificial intelligence, robotics, nanotechnology with respect to micro biology, self piloting autos & uavs, internet of things, big Data, 3D printing, demonetization, singularity, climate change, 5G technology and the list goes on.

This new technologies will most definitely alter the characteristics and way of life of who we are for eternity.

Some may not like my position ,but I think Junk processed food such as those displayed on this thread in the name of industrialization should be banned by the government . Nigeria has the 2nd highest rate of malnutrition and stunted growth in Children .
Mechanized agriculture should be heavily invested in to produce abundant healthy food for the people . Healthy eating and living should be highly promoted.
Only copy the positive western culture. A lot of westerners are obese and suffer from health issues associated with consuming junk food. The only reason there's low malnutrition is because most people make up for it with frequent consumption of veggies and fruits .
Did you know Japan has the highest life expectancy? That's because Junk foods are banned and Japanese cuisine is healthy .ditto South Korea.
I observe that most Nigerian foods are 90 percent carbs ,and fruit consumption is extremely low.

Yes, I've also seen that our diets are extraordinarily unhealthy and unbalanced. Especially men, who eventually opt to just eat nutrient poor akpu and drink beer.

You are right ,brother. Some of these products will do more harm than good and they need to be taken off shelves. To make things worse these crappy companies pay our citizens peanuts for so much work they do.
