Congrats bro..how much did you pay for the super priority? Were you interviewed?
maka11:

Got a mail before I got home my application has been received in Sheffield
Got another mail same day stating my application has not been straightforward, prolly cause I’ve been refused in uk,USA, and Canada in the past.
Got a mail on the 26th that my passport is ready for collection picked it up and my visa was stamped on it , it was issued the second day I submitted.

Yes the first is your appointment letter, the one with date and time.

I only have these two. Are these the appointment confirmation?

TLS or UKVI does not require anyone's original copy so long as the copy is clear enough but note that at resumption the student MUST present the ORIGINAL in school.

Hello everyone
please my cousin is doing her biometrics on Monday.her degree certificate and transcript, masters degree certificate and transcript are stated on her CAS. she has original of her bachelors degree certificate but has a scanned copy of transcript which has printed.
As for her UK masters degree she has both certificate n transcript original.

Stop misleading people with false information and hope.

First of all, compare the maintenance fee requirement by the home office for universities within london (£11,385) and outside london (£9,135)

2. There’s a significant difference in the tuition.

3. Jobs: Except you don’t want to work, there are plenty of agencies looking for care workers daily, some will even allow you work more than 20 hours but spread your income to only reflect 20 hours in your NI number.

4. Transpiration: with £4.60 you can buy a day saver bus pass in the West Midlands to go EVERYWHERE, ALL DAY within the county. £5 Oyster card in london won’t take you that far.

5. Accommodation: With £550/monthly you can get a comfortable, spacious 3 bedroom house to share with your friends (meaning you will be paying about £200-250 monthly with bills included) you can’t get that cheap in london except maybe it’s a give away from family members.

In my initial post I said “personally, I wouldn’t consider any university inside london” and I’m standing with that based on the points above.

Please how are other schools in UK cheaper than the ones in London, even if there are the difference is not more than 2000 . Apart from Imperial , UCL and King college there is no master course from a London uni that is more than 18000 pounds . You can even see courses of 15000 in UCL (5th best in Uk) according to times .
Schools like Middlesex, Brunel university , university of west London are top schools too and cheap. So what are you saying.

The amount of exposure someone get in London is tremendous, trust me , if you are an IT or computer student , I would 100% advise you to go to a London uni . USA universities are more ahead in fact 2 times ahead of UK university in IT and computer courses. Is only schools in London that can one that higher exposure to reach the level of that in US

So £2000 (920k naira almost 1m) is not significant enough to want to consider another uni outside london? Then the maintenance fee...

As mentioned in my previous post, before applying to any UK university consider those points I highlighted above.

Those two universities are not top universities and that is why they are cheap. Top universities are expensive even those outside London.

Good morning everyone. I know standard Visa application is said to take 8 weeks but what are the chances of someone getting it earlier than that 8 weeks? Like say a month? or it must take compulsorily 8 weeks?

I have been refused before, after stating it during the application, do I need to add the refusal letter when submitting?

Standard visa is 15 working days not 8weeks.
Priority 5-7 working days @ £220 extra
Super priority 1 working day @ £989 extra

You don't need to add the letter but you could quote the "Ref number" if its a UK refusal.

I'm not certain about their rankings but Sunderland and Kent are cheaper for the said program. OP may want to check them out.

frapzkid:

Personally I would refer to Middlesex University, it has one of the best ranking in social work in the UK and unlike most universities in London, the school fees are relatively cheap for international students. I think it ranked 38th in the UK though , but it is the 6th best modern university in the UK (universities younger than 50 years ). Another good option for social work is loughborough university (4th best university in UK, 28th best in the world )

*** Quick one

If you're doing a prorgamming/IT related course and you intend to come to the UK or you're in the UK, learn/focus on C# & .NET (ASP.NET). With your C#/.NET skill in the UK, recruiters will literally beg you to send your CV and the possibility of seeing jobs that would sponsor you is HIGH. Also, get active on LinkedIn.

While in the UK, I had recruiters reach out to me for C# Graduate roles that would pay up to £55k/year. That's the highest most lecturers can make in the UK lol. I didn't take them seriously cuz I thought I was gonna move to Canada. If you're coming to do an MSc in IT-related roles, trying using your 20 hours/week to look for jobs in UK startups. Startups are flexible and you can negotiate something that wouldn't pass the 20hours/week limit. You can't add McDonalds Crew Member experience to your CV or Amazon Warehouse Worker.

For part-time gigs while studying, they tend to need people with good grasp of JavaScript and if you want to get sponsored by a hedge fund or licensed sponsor, C#/.NET is the way (It's in very HIGH demand).

Happy New Month y'all

Hello, my ATAS due date is 11th December, my school resumption is 7th January, what is the likelihood of getting the ATAS before 11th so I can apply for the visa early and meet up with school resumption.
