Pls house I need your inputs
obiz0819:
Good Afternoon, my visa application was refused sometime in August this year based on the fact that my budget was more than my income.

I would like to make a reapplication this month but I kindly need your inputs on the following:

1. Would it be Ok to reduce my stated expenditure in this new application? In my last application, I stated that I spend 70k per month, leaving me with a disposable income of 130K so I want to state that I spend 40k/Month so my planned budget could be 320k for 5 days trip

2. I previously stated that I had additional income but I did not provide evidence for that. Tho the ECO didn't query my lack of evidence, I want to state now that I don't have an additional source of income in this new application, would this be fine?

@Justwise and others please help out with your thoughts.

Thanks

you can reduce your expenditure .
For additional income, maintain what you said ealier and if possible provide proof this time
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by ibukunpops(f): 7:51pm On Dec 03, 2019
I dont think you should reduce your monthly expenses, rather provide the proof of the additional income and a letter explaining you can afford the trip with your stated additional income which should be proplerly documented.

Thank you for your inputs. Yes I plan to reduce my expenditure for the trip, however my question is: a change from my previously stated monthly expenditure to a reduced one now, is it safe to do this?

Then about the additional income, it is a freelance job that I get mostly in cash payments so it will be pretty difficult to get evidence to back it up

Thanks. But my additional income is meager and can't add up to support my trip. My concern here is that if I stick to my previous information then I would not be able to work with the 2x disposable income rule

Online generated account statement is not meant for visa application... The one printed from bank always have their stamp on each pages of the copies where as the online doesn't....try and get the one from bank if possible

You write "Reconsideration review request" and highlight where you think ECO has made a mistake on the refusal letter and address it. Don't forget to include your application number.

Email: complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk

You can try this as well: VisaSheffield@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

Good luck.

Thank you.

Well... I have uploaded bank statements for my grand parents.... monthly e-statement from their bank which is received through email at the end of every month ... I couldn’t escort them to get from the bank... they got the visas. Some others have said on this same thread that they also used such.
I dont think there’s a hard and fast rule. The British ECOs are dynamic and understand an e-statement very well. This is my opinion as well as my experience m.
They operate this system very well.
Just dont submit fake documents.

Even if you cut to 20k they won't give u. The visa officers are too smart to see desperate people though u may be genuine and sincere but they judge you from your income and expenditure. They like to give visa to those that one or two months salary will be enough to cater for the trip and still have change. Imagine you spending 40k on yourself in a month in your country and you want to go to thr country and spend so much. 40k is just like 75 pounds which may not last five days so you need to work on your finance for real

I specially want to thank @ekpotek and @justwise and every other people that contributed their opinion. My visa application was refused in September due to Eco not checking all documents i submitted, i was adviced by these two wise men to contact them and complain which i did. 21 days later i received an email saying they're conducting an Independent review of my complaint.

5 days ago i received another email stating "Please note your visa decision has been overturned" I have submitted my passport with a copy of the email received from them.

I appreciate every advice given and God bless you guys

Congratulations!! I hope people learn from this and stop listening to pple who claimed that you need to go to court to get visa refusal overturned.

Thanks for your thoughts! But remember that the 40k is someone's one month salary, in fact it used to be my salary some years back

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by ibukunpops(f): 8:47am On Dec 04, 2019
Explain on the extra information part of the form and also on the cover letter

Provide more proof than invoices, maybe like the screenshot of IG page if you have an active one, email/chat correspondences with people buying from you, documents from the delivery company you use to send goods to your customers, just things to show it is a genuine business and not audio one lol.

I know someone that runs her business with her personal account and she got the Visa.

All the best

Yes you have every right to information regarding your application but it also appears to me that you did not display the content of the first page where the reasons and documentations you submitted leading to the decision taken are usually noted. The displayed page only shows under what government act their decision was based on.
