People hardly think... A stab on the neck which may have slashed her carotid artery or jugular vein isn't something that's handled with "let's try"... It's something that requires very very high level specialist approach for that person to ever have any slight chance if survival.... They had to refer to s vascular surgeon, because of how complicated the case is, and NOT cos of police report... Make una try dey read and think naa... Abeg.

Thank GOD for sensible folks like you. Many Nigerians tell lies to pass blame onto others. Her rejection had absolutely nothing to do with police report.

They even tell lies to avoid paying bills.
I won't be surprised if it was one or 2 previous patients of the said hospital that were made to pay their bills at whatever cost,that spread the news of the hospital rejecting her.
If you have a first hand experience of the things some patients do,damaging the name and reputation of some hospitals and Drs,you will understand why some hospitals have become some hardened that sometimes you even feel pity for patients,until you are told the stories or have a first hand bitter experience.
Just as patients are being educated about their rights as per malpractice, hospitals and medical professionals should also sue people that rush to social media to tarnish names,without having the barest of facts.
It's a pity the lady died and cases like this should serve as a means to take a holistic approach to management of trauma cases like that,so that improvements can be made where lapses are found.
Referring cases in Nigeria is even seen by some as incompetence,when actually it should be seen as a professionally right intervention, especially when done on time.

OAU Graduate Stabbed By Robbers, Dies After Hospital Refused Her Treatment

A graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) has reportedly died over the refusal of a hospital to attend to her for not presenting a police report after she got robbed and stabbed in the neck.

According to Ikeoluwa Fasipe, @ik3oluwa, who shared the story on Twitter, Jolad hospital in Gbagada should be held responsible for the death of the victim, Moradeun, who allegedly died from her injuries.

It is alleged that after Moradeun got robbed and stabbed in the neck, bystanders rushed to her aid and immediately took her to Jolad hospital located in Gbagada but rather than administer a first aid treatment at least, they referred her to Gbagada General Hospital.

As of the time of filing this report, it is unknown whether Moradeun died on her way to the general hospital or if she died there.

Let us be reasonable for once, is it not better to treat accident or armed robber victims first before waiting for police report? This lady might have survived if she was attended to in the hospital. All these protocol are not necessary when human lives are involved. If there is any law backing this police report thing when someone falls victim of robbery attack or accident victim before administering medical aid that law should be reviewed. Donald Trump was right about this country called Nigeria

Call out the so-called hospital until it and its management are made to pay for their crime. This is not right.

Jolade hospital is one of the heartless and merciless hospital in Lagos State. I don't know why people troop there. They are more of a mortuary than hospital.

However, the robbers killed her, and not Jolad hospital. Not all private hospitals run emergency services, and she should have been taken to the A/E closest to them, and not a private hospital.

Private hospitals have no business running emergency services. The government needs to sit up and provide emergency services for her citizens. Functioning ambulances, well trained paramedics should be at least basic

Why does gunshot even need police report, what if the person is the victim not the armed robber then the person will just keep bleeding to death while a useless police report is being procured. This makes no sense that such law exist in Nigeria in 2019, and I believe the casual disregard for human lives comes from our excessive population and the believe that there is to much mouth to feed.
