bigjay01: The rate at which banks in EU lower rates, you can't go wrong if you use it and stay put on banks on NSE. You will comfortably service the loans using Dividends and once it is due for repayment, that stock must Poo na. If you are maxed out in equities, just relax and enjoy the ride. Barring any negative news as regards the incoherence in world economies that could lead to flight of funds, you should just relax and be enjoying the dividends. 1 Like |

RabbiDoracle: Sir,I can't argue you.Fcmb still has a good Eps but the expectation of people is that fcmb will surpass fidelity in the Q3 result which was probably delayed hence the reason of my accumulation but it didn't respond. The appetite or hunger for the stock is loss.We can be doing janglover with it until the best of them is seen. Sir,don't be surprise that I may get the stock before Friday at 1.68/69 which is a good discount to me. |

I offered my FO for grabs in the tender offer by the new bride. I have just 200 units but was dumfounded when I got alert for N198.25 in my GTB account today. In my calculation that is just about 3 units. A Is it prorated? |

It appears so. I think it was OGG who explained that it was going to be prorated. I took a decision after I read his explanation and sold off all my units leaving about 500. I had about 10k units of FO at that time and had offered 50% for the BO. When I divided the credit I got yesterday by 66.25 (the BO price), it appears I was credited for about 80 units. Jymsyno: |

One thing I like about the NSE is that you can make money in times like this. You only need to distill information properly, and stop looking at prices everyday. 1. TA guys predicted that the market is on the uptrend (Onifa, I see you). 2. A few loss making companies announced their turn around plans. Their current share prices are about 10% of what they used to be. They pulled of loss-making subsidiaries (e.g. Wapco, UACN). Accountants like Pluto and Rebekah analysed here that such divestments will be good for the company results going forward. 3. OGG now makes an analysis (which makes a lot of sense)of what you will get when you invest in such stocks. Case in point: FO BO will be prorated. It seems it has. You don get expo o. 4. OGG and I think Peteru have made postulations on what you will benefit in UACN, the number of shares you'll get in REITS and UPDC. Also that 85% of debts was in UPDC. Simply multiply what they say you'll get by current share prices. 5. Get a good sum and buy those shares, and move on. 6. Guy, if you no make money from NSE with all this info, and you're still asking about hot stock, then you're on a long thing. 5 Likes |

Mcy56: The issue is that this whole stock adventure is highly unpredictable. There are times JiJo wins, while there time you'll need to relax and roll along. I do both, but, however, I think its best to invest and leave your fund to roll along. Jijo is very much stressful and distracts one from attending to other live issues. Some people may even tag you yahoo boy if you are a jijoist |
