The Kano State House of Assembly on Thursday passed the controversial Kano Emirates Council Bill 2019, which seeks to create four additional emirates in the state.

The bill, which was sent to the House on Monday by the state Executive Council, was read for the third time on Thursday morning and passed into law with very little alteration.

DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that the only amendment to the bill is in Section 12, which the legislators inserted a proviso that the governor must seek their approval before grading the emirs first, second and third class.

I thought the court said ganduje should return to status quo, and said the creation of other Emirates is illegal, null and void and has no substance..

The court cannot stop any assembly from making law. The best is to challenge such laws is to seek redress after such law has been passed in court.

This is crazy. What about the subsisting court order? Impunity and clashes everywhere. Which one is superior now? The court order nullifying the emirates or the legislative order??

Yes because there was no law backing it. But the legislators have done needful now by passing the correspondent law.

This Ganduje should have been in prison by now if it's in a sane country. There are one billion things to do to improve the condition of the citizens but they wouldn't do even one, all they care for is doing things that really don't matter at all.

Pikin wey say him mama no go sleep, him self no go sleep. When Sanusi was busy running his mouth okpotoyi, during GEJ's tenure and got away with it ,now thought he can do the same to Ganduje who is a rogue. The only man to be caught collecting bribe on camera and yet won his reelection

The people of Kano State have their wish. A restructured Emirate, for easy and better governance. The 8ters don't want restructuring of Kano Emirates but want restructuring of Nigeria, hypocrites every where.

Criminals like Peter Obi, Ekweremadu, Theodore Orji, Abaribe, in fact all Igbo governor from 1999 till date deserve to rot in jail before Ganduje.

Zigzag system.

One trend I've noticed about these politicians is how they play leg-over.

The final loser will first be announced winner in a high court. Then court of appeal or supreme Court will now settle the matter.

See the case of Oyetola vs Adeleke
Now the case of Gandollar and Sanusi

I'm almost certain that OUK too will win the appeal.

Politicians are just one kyn people. angry
