Head coach of Tanzania?? Carlos Querioz used to go back to assisting Alex Ferguson after coaching national teams.

Now reread it

Are you referring to a tattered Madrid team under Julian Lopetegui? Anybody could beaten that team

Without Messi this season Barca would have been mid table

He won them the game away to Slavia Praha
He drew the game against Leganes
He won the game against Celta Vigo
He won the game against Atletico Madrid

So you see, it's not the team serving Messi rather Messi serving the team

Bro leave dat guy weh deh claim seh im b Barca fan. Na likes im deh find from Messi haters

Now reread it
Your point? You are claiming Amuneke is too big to be assistant to Rohr because he's coached Tanzania and I'm saying it isn't necessarily true.
With that, he could be well positioned to replace Rohr when he leaves.
Whether he'd want it or not is a different thing. Saying he's "too big" for it is hilarious.

Remove Musa and Zuby

Remove Zuby based on what reason? Apart from Ndidi which other defensive midfielder from Nigeria is better than Zuby. Before you answer that question I want you to think long and hard....and remember Zuby had played for Super Eagles and proved himself before Ndidi.

Amunike is too big to be an assistant coach, he may come in as a temporary assistant with a view to take over from Rohr

But to be employed as an assistant is a downward trajectory for him

Zuby is better than agu at the moment ,even the esiti that i think was better, zuby is better than him also

Still on still i dont even fancy any of them in the team

EOD

Who then do you fancy....additionally, why dont you fancy any of them? Even Ndidi has not exploded with Super Eagles...For the most part, he has been very average!! Fact

Not if he's an assistant to a better coach and for a bigger team.
Carlos Querioz twice went back to Manure to be Ferguson's assistant from being head coach of South Africa and Real Madrid.

Olayinka can't play box to box role.
Etebo is not a DM
Zubby can't back Ndidi up ..we need another competent DM.

Not only can Zuby back Ndidi up but he will make you forget Ndidi existed....stop being sentimental. Zuby is a more gifted ball player than Ndidi just like Nwakali is more gifted than Iwobi and Etebor

Nigeria is not that big that a former head coach of Tanzania will return to be an assistant

Besides Rohr will state what the work of his assistant would be and I'm sure Amunike would not like to be in that position

I want us to be very pragmatic when we discuss these issues and try not to embellish facts.
Just because Ndidi is very fortunate to be playing in the Premiership doesnt equal to being the best. He is the most rated because of the league he plays in not based on natural talent. In the Super Eagles Ndidi has struggled to to impress and live up to expectations. He is a very hardworking guy, great tackler with enormous energy but offers very little on the technical side. Nonetheless , he has improved but no where near world class.

Zuby will replace him and sure can give Rohr selection headaches...watch out how things unfold

Ndidi is a key player in a top premier league side. Always a starter for a team currently 2nd in the premier league and a team that boasts of the highest clean sheets.

Ndidi stats are amongst the best in the top 5 leagues of Europe. What more can you ask? Ndidi is world class. Fact!!

What is Azubuike doing in Turkey? Let us be objective.

Same way others player get their move to the turkish league

Dont make it look like turkish league is hard to get into like epl or laliga

Super eagles performance didnt nothing in his transfer bro

Ekong was at the Olympics before he moved to Turkey... he was at the world cup before he moved to Italy..

U think having that kind of international experience doesn't boost one's career ?

Do u know how many of the players that where at the Olympics secured moves to better clubs after the tournament?

Did he flop in Egypt ? I dont think so, especially , when you consider all the circumstances that surrounded his arrival to Egypt...jet lag, time to blend with the team and quality of players in camp.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by charlesemeka85(m): 4:44pm On Dec 05, 2019
Nope, he was with dordrecht in the eirdivisie when keshi invited in for a afcon qualifiers game against Chad in kaduna.

After his Dutch team got relegated he was signed by Gent who immediately sent him on loan to norway

Danielnino00:

Ekong was playing in the Norwegian league when he was first called up to the national team.. If he had rejected us, he probably may not have ended up in Italy and Netherland won't bother to call him up...

He flopped based on the kind of hype you give him. He was not particularly outstanding. He did not distinguish himself individually.

He is just an average player, nothing special.

The ones wey no do well no see better club nah, na all of them see better club?

If ekong didnt work hard for him self he wont be at udinese bro, remember he left gent for bursaspor due to limited playing time at gent, now look at him today playing for a club and a better league than gent, he wont be benched at gent if na super eagles make am dey there, because he has always been a starter in the eagles

Fine national teams do play their little roles, but please dont take it away from the club sides also, if you play nonsense for your club nobody go buy you

I beg to differ. You think Ekong would have been where he is now if it wasn't with the help of the SE? I'm not saying he didn't work hard to get where he is at the moment but don't undermine the impact playing for a national team makes in a player's career.

Even Van der Vaart acknowledged the fact that he has played for major tournament for Nigeria thus wouldn't fault his decision to jump ship.

Here is someone that has won Olympic bronze and played at the world cup and you believe scouts wouldn't have a second look at him while representing the SE? Interesting.
