Once you flash TWRP, you've to instantly boot to TWRP and flash lazyflasher.zip and then reboot. Otherwise you'll stuck at bootlogo.

If your PC does not recognize your phone, copy the Twrp and lazyflasher to SD card

The method 1 would work just fine. Orange fox recovery already supports dm _verity etc etc options by default

Are you sure about this? I'm on miui.eu and tried to flash cr driod after flashing it requested for data encryption password. I use orange fox recovery.

Thanks so much bro. The phone is up now. I didn't eventually flash the Havoc ROM. I had to go with your first instruction, that is flashing twrp and lazyflasher immediately after flashing the MIUI 11. I really appreciate your help.

I might eventually go the custom ROM way. Should I stick with Havoc or there are better ROMs

You can try other roms. Just check mido download channel on telegram. only that most roms have migrated to Q which means that fp might not work properly
