That's y South Africa is more developed than Nigeria

because their colonial masters left so late, they were able to put things in other for them

Unlike Nigeria, the Northerners just woke up and felt they can lead undecided

No many countries did out without coloninists, egypt, ghana, rwanda, mozambique etc in recent years black countries do prosper look at botswana, zimbabwe would be prospering now until sanctions happened, just dont underestimate the power of a black man

Nigeria is a case of wars and bad governance it would have been prospering now. Plus its booming population is a problem.

In 1994 SA many black communities didnt have electricity, 10 years to close gap.

Until Nigerians quit fighting back from the comfort of their homes behind keypads, the government can never be enlightened that power belongs solely to its citizens. And only then can the masses realize how much power they wield as things play out.

Now take a look at the massive protests going on in South America for over 2 months now. South Americans who happened to find themselves under the same shackles of poor leadership as Africans, but have fiercely refused and rebuked it consistently over the decades.

The recent protests started in their most developed country - Chile since October, over inequality, lack of opportunities and government's inability to distribute wealth and social services. The protest had only began for 1 week, the president already panicked, sacked his ministers, reshuffled cabinets. The citizens demanded a new constitution and his resignation. Out of fear, a committee was immediately set up and they're seriously working on the new constitution to at least get the over 1.8 million people off the streets of the capital who have caused a total city shut down for over 6 weeks. And maybe calm them enough with the new constitution that gives them equal rights to participate in the economy so they might reconsider his resignation. That's a man who's scared cos he has been brought to light on the powers the citizens possess.

Bolivians followed suite in protests just about same time. Why? Because they believed their president rigged the election to re-elect himself. (Does it occur to anyone that these are the same damn things we experience but would just murmur about them over keypads for few days and it slowly dies off) Now the Bolivian President has resigned and fled to Mexico to seek asylum, CHASED OFF BY HIS OWN CITIZENS! And now they're planning on their new election. MASSES = RESULTS

Peruvians and Ecuadorians are also at it. While Peru came out in numbers to support their President in closing down a corrupt Congress, Ecuador citizens came out in numbers to pressure their President over removal of gasoline subsidy. And as expected, they're all getting results and not backing down until all requests are fulfilled.

Moral lesson:
No matter how authoritarian or totalitarian a government thinks it is, fact remains that no government on earth can cope with a total shut down with millions of citizens on the streets making serious demands in one voice.
These nations you mentioned have one culture and language.

In Nigeria, illiteracy has decapitated the north and other regions are filled with filthy cowards. The languages here are so enormous and tribal sentiments rules.

Its can only succeed if a particular tribe holds a mass movement against the government which can strengthen other regions to join en mass.

Don't forget, Nigeria is a black nation with black wicked people.

Stupid Senator, your Sowore is being held for treason by the Nigerian government.

Sowore was planning a revolution that he hoped will bring down the government.

It is believed that he will still try to destabilize the country if allowed on the streets going by his utterances.

The US is in no position to lecture Nigeria on how to handle people considered as threats to National security after the US shamelessly clamped down on whistle blowers that exposed their evil actions and war crimes. These people include Wiki leaks founder Julian Assange, Edward Snowden, Bradley Manning etc.

I guess your memory span is as short as your IQ is low. BUHARI, Tinubu, and other APC stalwarts did worse than Sowore during Jonathan's regime and didn't face any harassment from the then government.

Omo ode

For every exception you make during GEJ's time, there are in Buhari's time.

The likes of FFK and Fayose have done worse than Sowore, including making personal and outrageous attacks on Buhari, are they facing any harassment?

Yet under GEJ, Amaechi, Tambuwal and many others faced harassments for conflicting with Patience Jonathan and her husband. Amaechi, a sitting governor, was blatantly harassed by a common CP.

During the Osun election in 2014, DSS filled up Osun state and during the PDP rally in Osogbo, insults were hurled at Aregbesola but there was virtually nothing the governor could do because of the fear of DSS. Don't also forget how DSS arrested Lai Mohammed on the pretence that he was trying to buy votes. They didn't allow the certifying of Oshiomole's helicopter and they barred Tinubu from leaving Ekiti after the elections which Fayose used the DSS and military to rig.

The truth is, there is no Nigerian leader (past or present) who is a saint. As a matter of fact, no human being is a saint.

Can you tell me what Buhari did to you for you to hate him this much?

I know it is not about Sowore because the average Nigerian does not care that much about his neighbor. Even in the churches and mosques, it is every man for himself. How many people pray for their neighbors when they are in church? When last did you pray for your country? It is always about "me, me, me and my family. Father bless me, I will give you all my tithes."

So, please tell me, what did Buhari do to you?

How you guys do it amaze me.

Let's assume that Sowore committed treason (I am sure in the part of your mind that is still sane, you don't believe that), the court has ordered his release.

Are you saying that Buhari and DSS are above the law?

Considering that APC and even same Sowore said worse about PDP, isn't it rich charging him for treason?

The DSS is interested in keeping Sowore off the streets cos they consider him a person who is interested in destabilizing constitutional order, so they finally obeyed the court order to release him and then rearrested him on fresh charges, different from the one for which he has been granted bail.

There is nothing legally wrong in rearresting a person on fresh charges. He will be charged to another court on the fresh charges.
