Well said. People may forget we have enough options at CB.

- Kenneth Omeruo
- Semi Ajayi
- William T. Ekong
- Chidozie Awaziem (who is also an option at RB).
Even Leon Balogun is left out these days due to his Brighton situation. We can now afford to leave him out as we have quality options.

Na Back-up striker we want to settle first. Then an attacking midfielder and others to follow. Don't forget we also seek another Left back.

All teams seek to improve and nobody has a permanent position.

You do that by inviting and selecting players after trying them out.

Nobody is a back up player, every player invited is there to contest for a position and the best players selected at any one time for the job at hand.

Depth is good. No sensible fan don't want quality depth. But at CB, we can only play two at a time based on our most used formation of 4-3-3/4-2-3-1. In a 3-5-2, we can always shuffle also.

We are quite stoked at CB. Any player coming will have to bide his time.

The pertinent question is can we improve on what we have.

No one is quoting you out of context. You are just not understanding my post. My post speak of abundance at the back and not who will displace who. I am saying in further explicit terms that even an Omeruo now is not certain of a starting berth due the competition in the CB role thus having any other CB come in now shouldn't be our topmost priority coz even if they come, they will be fringes for a while. That is why I said they will bide their time even if they come in.

Your post is anchored on the assumption that the current CB'S are the best we have.

Nobody is on the fringes there must be healthy competition for positions that makes the team strong.

Let the best players play. How do you know that the current CB'S can not be displaced by other CB's given opportunity to play.

Me i have already switched awaziem to RB because i no see who e go bench for CB

I dismissed Awaziem as a RB long time ago as a weal link.

His main handicap " he's just too slow " the modern wingback s must have the essential ingredient of PACE.

it's only ekong i believe is indispensable in the team for now unless he is out injured or suffers lost of form. the likes of omeruo, awaziem and semi still have alot to do to cement their places in the team. if balogun leaves on loan next month and start playing regularly again he will be back to the team

form is not permanent. That's why continuous competition is necessary. Don't be surprised that even some of these youthful players will have a deep in form at some point. What do you do then? Still shut out other players who are showing great form at their club on the ground that we have a young team? Next year is 2020, although we hope that our players stay excellent and consistent throughout the year, it rarely happens in football. So let's keep the sentiments aside, when any of our players start to struggle or become consistent bench warmers they have to be shown the way out until they can fight their way back in the team. That is how excellence is achieved.

Agreed without reservation or question or any cross examination.

liverpool slip? i don't see that happening soon and the only team capable of stopping liverpool is city if they regain their form. leicester with how far they have gone have done well and should focus on finishing 2nd or 3rd.

liverpool may drop points as the season progresses but the point difference is wide and i don't see this liverpool team losing or drawing back to back games

do you think Dominic is better than our current CBs? I greatly disagree when you say we don't have quality CBs.

Let us stop dreaming about Fikayo, there is no scenario where Fikayo pledges allegiance to Nigeria,so, let us try to live in the reality. If you can tell us eligible players in the CB role, better than what we currently have, that would be helpful

Why do you greatly disagree.

Please with a analytical approach.

That's not true. He's not better than Mings. Dude is even bad when it comes to aerial balls. The only thing he's good at is that he can use the ball and can pass well from the back.

rohr rates a player depending on his present form. when rohr took charge of the team and after omeruo's blunder against zambia away he dropped in to the bench asap and only started him if any of balogun or ekong is out.

moving to laliga polished omeruo's game a bit which is the major reason he was back to rohr's good books, also balogun's lack of game time at brighton was another reason.

Bros, they were even too kind to chukwueze for being 9th. What matters now in Soccer is goals and assists especially as a black man that has to prove himself as an attacker. All those dribble dribble hardly achieved anything for a world class okocha

I have said this before.

Football has moved on dribbling, doing skills and show boating without end product amounts to NUTTIN.

Look at Man city, do you think Raheem, Gabriel and Sane can not do skills and dribble up and down. Try that too much and you would do it on the bench for ever.

Do you see Mahrez doing all those skills he use to do in Leicester anymore.

When l explain the things some think oh he hates Chukwueze and doesn't like Nigerian players.

well, inane dribbles will have to matter in a goalless encounter.

You are talking as if Atletico scored 5 goals, when they had nothing. At least Chuks made the match worth watching for many people. He was trending at the top of the Twitter trends on a day Sowore was bundled from a court, Cardi B was in Naija (with Jidenna) and TheExperience was happening. So, many people rather enjoyed watching those inane dribbles

This may be hard for you to believe, but some people actually care about those inane dribbles

However, not the people who matter the coaches managers and heads of recruitment in football club in Europe.

have you asked him what he does for a living
and why he visits most teams training ground and claim to know most Nigerians in this teams and somehow have related with the coaches/back room staffs one time of the other....

dude is likely not here for the supper eagles.... but for business sake...
man must chop

Why would an agent or football associate.

Based in the UK go carry bad market.

Do you know how problematic it is too get a player from Nigeria to the UK. It's already a failed business plan.

When there are multiple African origin players who don't carry the problematic excess baggage allowance of work permit, TPI, signing dubiously with multiple agents, talking to the corrupt club chairmen and academy owners in Nigeria ,etc

That's a very very poor business plan.

When l can sit in England get a few players signed and pull in a few thousand every week not naira but £££

This is not true. It's just fallacy of hasty generalisation at best.

Do you know how many times Madrid came for Scholes? yet the guy didn't leave Man Utd. Even Rooney at a point was disturbed by Barca, before they went for David Villa, but Rooney still never wanted to leave England.

The thing is, not everyone has a dream of playing for both clubs like most y'all Barca and Madrid fans like to make people believe. For every player that went on Strike, just to join Barca or Madrid , there are many other players that rejected them as well.

When you are on the EPL living your best life with your brethren why would you want to leave London for Madrid.

Any player who plays at right back for a team like ATM will 90 percent start for almost all the national teams in the world
