What's now really happening?

And this is December, yet, there's been no real and official update sent to us yet. The situation is very unpredictable. The handwriting is very unclear. I just hope for the best while keeping my mind open to other endeavours.

This was not meant to be.

Guys, when disseminating information,be sure to drop the full gist. Those laid off were contract workers. They've exceeded their contracts without passing the exams

Yes they have. They'll start on the 3rd of December.
Do these guys have thread here on Nairaland?

Not at all...don't get me wrong plz!
Any attempt for me to be more explicit than what I wrote might result to me divulging information that's internal and may not be understood by anyone who is not in the system.

The simple analogy is this, 2016 GT program ended in September 2018 and that paved way for 2019 GT program. There was no fresh recruitment between 2017-2018 other than what started in 2016. In essence, if not until January Service Executive Conversion Program (Season 4) is concluded, there won't be room for (Season 5) which Ceteris Paribus, was expected to have kicked off, the second half of this year.

I hope my point is clear now. Thanks
Our hope is still alive as conversion guys are already in TS.
Re: First Bank 2019 Graduate Trainee Assessment Centre Invite by obysuccess: 11:14am On Dec 04, 2019

Well, conversion program is expected to take place twice in a year but as I write you, They are yet to round up the one of January. So the system at the moment, is tensed and saturated....those for conversion that have been kept on hold from resuming TS are as grieved as you're.

However, one thing is certain, you all will be contacted in due course. Any form of agitations from you guys is like telling the wind, the direction it should blow...it makes no difference.

Just be calm, hopeful and prayerful...Thanks
.

I took mind off this thread and constant anticipation of the D and M mail for a while and trust me, I'm glad I did. It was and still is less frustrating.

My advice, live like this opportunity is no longer valid and you'll see yourself thinking better things. If or whenever the D and M mail eventually comes and you're still interested, you then thank God as if something new and unexpected has happened.

Achieve other things oo (skill, processional course, another job, anything) time is of the essence. Use it wisely biko.

U r very rite nd i knw evry1 knws ds. I av also noticed som monickers are no more commenting on ds post wich suggests they av taken the same route. But its easier for some cos of factors such as money, social support, current job, family members looking up to you....etc.Its nt easy for me to act like u av suggested cos ds gig looks like evrytn to me. For nw, it stil makes sense dt we av nt resumed cos d conversion staff in TS nw av bn waiting sinc january. Technically, we av bn waiting since Oct ds year. So its stil makes a lot of sense.
Personally, av set my mind dt by Feb if ntn pops up, i wil b moving on totally (i wont evn refresh ds page) cos it wil b insane to kip hoping nd waiting by then without any update.

The best thing is to move on like you have nothing.. funny thing is that I resigned arnd August thinking we would resume by September , by October it became clear to me n I started searching for jobs again. Just got one n m to resume by January.. pay is even good, slightly lower that Fbn own and the company isn’t as big as Fbn but I’m holding an important role, heading a branch in d company. If I weight d potential of growth and possibilities, I might even stay... but Fbn is still my priority for now... this one is just to while away tim... best thing is to start searching for other opportunities.

First Bank has finally sent an update smiley. First quarter of 2020 is when we'd resume training school. Resuming March may be far but at least, we now know it won't exceed March. Thank you First Bank, for remembering us ooo grin

My point exactly.

So this means we'd get into the TS next month through March. Since it's a 12 weeks thing.

Then by April, we'll assume work...

Right??

Mehn..... that mail brought a lotta joy to my heart. First quarter it is. The wait has been long but worth it.

Nope. We’ll resume training school between January - March. That’s what the mail means. So we can even be asked to resume training school in March.
Hope you understand?
