Hi folks. I got admission at DBS and Visa has been approved, I've considered my options about accomodation. For hotels, too expensive. For hostels, very affordable but the issue is moving my load up and down. And living with other people isn't very safe and comfortable, before someone lose valuables. I'm a very light sleeper, NYSC camping that was three weeks wasn't easy. I was thinking of flat share, lemme know I'm moving straight to the place. If you have anyone looking for roomies, pls don't fail to reach out, I need it ASAP. I'll save a whole lot if I can get an opportunity like this. Or if there's a website you used, such info will be invaluable, I've applied to several online like roomgo,....don't know if they trust person way never land yet. Thanks in advance. Cc Icasng, olajimii, abuhusna and other folks I forgot.... |

Chiggsglover: There's no easy way around this unfortunately, Accommodation in Dublin is expensive. Unless you have a very reliable friend currently in Dublin who can view properties on your behalf and make recommendations, I'll suggest you book a temporary hostel for a week and then start the process on arrival. https://www.hostelworld.com/hostels/Dublin or use booking.com (You pay on arrival) Finally plan that the minimum rent for a single room in Dublin will be at 450 euros a month . If you want a bit of class, then 550 euros per month and finally for premium en-suite private single rooms in university hostels ( you only share communal areas e.g sitting room and kitchen) then this costs 850 euros per month to 1000 euros per month. 2 Likes |

ICaSNg: You're the best! I have booked a hostel at Booking.com. I went for Ashfield, I booked a night, so if it's great, then I can continue to pay otherwise I'll japka. Thanks for the super advise. But that university premium whatever is too expensive and I'll still be sharing kitchen o. 1 Like |

Good morning, thanks to everyone for the job well done in this thread. I want to go for a masters degree program in Ireland. I am a social science student. I want the house to advise me on : 1. A school i would apply for that covers medical insurances in Ireland. 2. The course in social sciences i would go for and easily get a job after studies so i can get my permanent residency. Would be awaiting your reply house. thank you all. |
Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Chiggsglover(m): 6:33am On Dec 10, 2019 |
Wazony: Well Data Analytics alone is very lucrative, you can pick either the. But one of the gist I hear about DBS is that they understand the fact that student need experience outside the classroom. I know that cos I'm resuming by jan. For CIT, a little more research will help, the focus isn't about what school you attend but what skill and course you studied. Those with ideas about CIT should speak about the stressful conditions Cheers |
Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Chiggsglover(m): 6:47am On Dec 10, 2019 |
Stephanie22: Medical insurance is covered by organizations. Its not too expensive, at most 150 euros, tho it's a requirement to apply for visa. Social science courses aren't that lucrative and may not guarantee you a job. I studied Economics, due to my background in Econometrics and analysis, I went for Data Analytics. You need to add an IT course to your CV to be guaranteed a job, if you don't like the country, you can apply to the US, UK and live n work there. Canada won't work cos they value only their certificate. |

Yes o I would suggest that those of us that are going to Ireland this January should link up(online) and rub minds and probably plan our trip together(might make accomodation easier). #justasuggestionthough Chiggsglover: 1 Like |
