Hello my people...... Any first timer coming into UK through Heathrow airport....should be very careful. make sure you delete any chat or mail that can land u back to muritala, make sure u don't save people's name with some funny words..my experience yesterday at Heathrow airport was a serious check by the boarder officers after being checked in by immigrations. A guy was sent back cos they said his visa is fake which is not true. At first timer coming in at this time should be careful. Which means they are ready to send pple back at the slightest of any thing. 3 Likes |

Hi.. please if they say the visa is fake, it is fake my dear. They have a database for all the visas they issue out and can crosscheck in a matter of seconds which they always do. They won’t lie on someone... when they can simply not allow you into their country and nothing will happen... Seynex01: 2 Likes |

Nothing serious my dear. If you made a reservation make sure it's still very valid Hold at least 100-200 pounds with you. Your leave approval from work if employed. Your return ticket should be with you as well. geli12: 1 Like 1 Share |

Horlaidey007: Why that amount? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 11:20am On Dec 08, 2019 |
1.Have a valid accommodation for the whole trip. 2.Have a return ticket with same timeframe as your accommodation. 3.Hold your money in cash. The whole sum. They need to see that you have palpable funds as you declared on your application form that you would spend on the trip. 4. If you are asked if you have been denied visa before? If the answer is yes speak the truth and give accurate number as you told in your application form. There’s no ‘I didn’t understand the question’ Lastly do not lie. If you are asked how long you are staying, say exactly what is on your return ticket geli12: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Horlaidey007: 1:30pm On Dec 08, 2019 |
Because i expect her to hold her credit card with her. In my own experience i was holding 300 pounds and when i was ask how will i pay for my accommodation and all and i said i have my card with me which i will be using to pay as well. But he ask for my card and i showed it to him. And he confirm the name if it March. The amount i put on the form for my budget is £2,000. So i feel you should have this either by cash or in your account because he confirmed i have that funds. Another this is i just made part payment of my hotel reservation and i told him i will balance up with my card when i get to the hotel. justwise: |

Don’t be scared if you’ve not done anything bad. You must be able to be defend yourself. £100 - £200 is too small despite you holding your cards. It’s an international trip not local please. Your contact details saved with funny names means nothing because they can’t tell you what to save contacts with. It’s your personal item but they can check your phones if they want to. If I save a friends name with funny words, border control will tell me to change the name. Lol funny you. As said, hold enough cash with you cos buying tickets at heathrow is very expensive... I mean coaches ( National Express and MegaBus) £500 is OK Have your prove of accommodation intact. No stories. Your return ticket too is important as well. You will be questioned but be truthful. Have a valid reason when answering questions and don’t panic. Be a good citizen of Nigeria. All the best. 4 Likes 1 Share |

People going through Heathrow don't get scared unnecessarily. Just hold things like letter of invitation, money maybe cash or credit card, flight intenery . I cant really say what they usually ask of cos in my case I was not asked any serious thing. I was asked the purpose of visiting Uk and what my host does for a living. I was even trying to bring out my phone to show the immigration officer my itinerary when she asked "is there somethng u want to show me on your phone?" I said "yes, my itinery". She didn't look at it, she stamped me in and told me to enjoy my holiday. This happened last month and it was my first time in UK. 3 Likes |

giselle237: The visa is fake and the said person is on their radar right now and probably have 10years ban. The way developed countries works is so different and they will not say what they don’t know. They have back up at everytime. 1 Like |

It may cost you a lot if you refused to hold cash and It will not cost you anything if you hold cash. What happens if your fiance was called and his phone did not connect? geli12: 2 Likes |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by justwise(m): 5:51pm On Dec 08, 2019 |
ozymes: It will cost her nothing, if she told them that her fiance is waiting to pick her up they will call or go to arrival hall to look for him just to confirm her story. |

Vatod: Put that money into your business and grow it rather than wasting it on visiting UK that is very likely to be denied. If by miracle you get tourist visa to the UK your chances of surviving is close to zero. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Vatod(m): 7:22pm On Dec 08, 2019 |
justwise:By miracle? I can get any documents necessary!! And surviving over there for more than a month won’t be any problem since I’m saving up for it, I’ve already save $5k for it. |
