Adonko: Am surprise to see some Nigerians justify this act myself. They don’t know what’s happening to Sowore has been happening to Nigerian youth for a while now. Police , SARS keeps harassing and killing young mind and forcing others to find a way to escape out of Nigeria because they lost hope. Those of those youth are suppose to be part of our future investor but they will do that in other country. I don’t think Nigeria can come out of this with the way some Nigerians still find a way to justify act like this. 2 Likes 1 Share |

U Nigerians are just funny and unfortunate set of people. A particular tribe saw the imminent danger of bringing in your current presidïot & his goons, but u all made jest of them and glorified the 5%ers tagg. Again they refused to be part of a 2nd mistake but you all said they are dull therefore no presidential aspirations for that tribe. OK continue hoping for Yoruba presidency in 2023. You guys cannot even rally against your brethren who is a chip of the old block that fought the military, yet you have the guts to insult ipob. Shame on all you cowards. DSS could never have rearrested him if there was a mammoth crowd at the high court supporting sowore. Pls leave sowore to reap from where he sowed and concentrate on your mirrage 2023 presidency. Hopeless. |

Well, there has been Alot of hysteria over the last few days as regards Sowore vs DSS. I follow a lot of news and this one just happens to be one of those I've overlooked without paying much attention. I believe I know why Sowore was arrested in the first place. Revolution Now? Who has forgotten? please check your dictionary and refresh the meaning of Revolution in the unforgiving context of a Sovereign state. You may make excuse for Sowore's Choice of protest Slogan but you can't Simply dismiss it! I mean, calling for a revolution is perhaps the equivalent of a Coup in the military setting. Guys, put it in perspective, a one time presidential candidate organizing a Revolution Whatever immediately after losing an election? in a democratic setting? what do you make of that? Sowore didn't believe in the court in the first instance, I'm forced to conclude. If his march was about losing the election, then Atiku's route was the right way to channel grievances nonetheless. If it was about the general state of the nation, I believe there are other channels available to explore. people have planned and staged protest during Buhari's tenure and went home without being arrested. I know there will inevitably be attempts to disrupt such protest by authorities though. But if you tag anything "Revolution", the government holding sway will interpret it as a call for similar "Revolution that has occurred in History Books". Perhaps this is also another way to channel grievances but it comes with grave danger and reward if successful. Perhaps, the overwhelming majority don't see any circumstance where Sowore successfully leads a "Revolution". I don't see it. the Courts don't see it. But Sowore still believes it. And from what his mother said yesterday about him always fighting for injustice and what is "right", I don't think he's ready to "Tell the government what they want to hear - Say na Play him dey play" Freedom of expression is a mirage that's only 90% true. Every Country and Nation keep the remaining 10% percent at "it's discretion". In Catalonia, for those who see more than what is in front of him/her, the Spanish Government have jailed the leaders calling for referandum. Nnamdi Kanu and Sowore are demanding for basically the same thing. Kanu only went farther in his endeavors. The government only grew wiser with Sowore and nipped it in the bud before it fester. ( The above are my thoughts. read carefully and you will see I didn't support anything, or side. I'm only interpreting the meanings of events. majority may disagree with it, that's fine. say so and express yourself. Then we can have a discussion) 1 Like |

MyVILLAGEpeople: Of course it was stage managed by sowore and his supporters to make it seem the re-arrest was inside the court room and dss chased away a judge. Sowore and his supporters ran into a sitting court and disrupted the sittings.... Why is sowore running away from DSS? is he now afraid of them? Thought he said he is not afraid. Coward. An adage says ''he who gathers insect infested firewood should be prepared to host the feast of lizard.'' Sowore had freedom of expression but never knew it was a deliberate efforts of GEJ prevailing on law enforcement agencies who found his spurious allegations offensive that deserved prosecution. But Sowore wanted to continue in that order not minding the fact that the person he contributed immensely in enthroning as the president doesn't apply human face in dealing with issues no matter the size. Remember, he was never oblivious to his antecedence. Therefore, he should be allowed to enjoy the repercussions of his foolishness. |

baby124: lmao you lack knowledge. There is no court in the united states which would place rule of law over state security. Everything else takes the back seat once it is an issue of state security. This is when the courts go silent Why do you think even the common police (not even FBI) are constitutionally empowered to use lethal force under certain conditions? Everyone has the right to life right? So why the constitutional authorization to use lethal force under certain conditions? It is because when it comes to national security, rule of law ceases. Nobody falls under the grace of rule of law in such times. Lethal force is the new law in such times and no court can rule otherwise. |

THIS IS THE HIGHEST MANNER OF INSULT TO THE JUDICIARY. THIS IS THE DEFINITION OF IMPUNITY. DID I JUST READ THAT THE REARREST OF SOWORE WAS JUSTIFIED? IN OTHER WORDS THE RULING OF THE COURT WAS NULL AND VOID. IT IS FINISHED |
Re: Presidency Justifies Sowore's Rearrest, Says He's Person Of Interest To DSS by CaptainMeks: 6:17pm On Dec 08, 2019 |
unbitchable: I do not need to prove you wrong. The DSS or even the FBI functions with the courts aka the judiciary and not the Presidency as it were. They often obtain permits to effect arrests from the courts under certain conditions and do not run to the Presidency for such. However when the offence is squarely in their area of jurisdiction they do not require any further authorization before they act. If even the President becomes a threat to national security the FBI or the DSS in the case of Nigeria are empowered to investigate the President same way Trump was investigated by the FBI. Will you then say they got permission from the President to investigate him? They acted within their constitutional authority as the ones who behind the scenes prevent anarchy in the society |

CaptainMeks:You think everyone online is at your level of exposure? You base your comments on action movies you watch? FBI and other agencies can be sued. They do not act without a court order or warrant! They only act in the absence of these documents to gather evidence covertly. That evidence is presented before a competent judge before they carry out arrests. Even then, you are entitled to the full rights of any citizen and can not be unjustly manhandled. Even those who have used crazy interrogation tactics have gotten into very big trouble in the past. Nigerians and over sabi. You all do not fail to show your Bush and stupid behavior when given small power. 2 Likes |

baby124: Lmao i speak reality my dear and not movies. You can only sue the FBI when you are not a threat to national security. The law still covers you at that point. However if when they come for you and you resist, YOU DIE. No law can rule against the action of the FBI in that light. You seem to be bush and stupid with this comment of yours for thinking the courts take the side of he or she who is a national threat against the larger interest of the nation which the courts represent. I am not talking about interrogation techniques but rather one who is a threat to national security. Before you would even be interrogated you would have first been arrested right? Why not resist arrest as a threat to national security and see if the rule of law will still protect you by the time lethal force is used on you. Such times the FBI become heroes. Go back and learn kid |

I have said it before that Buhari being a military man who has witness coup and civil war will not take such statement likely with anyone. If only people know how military take sensitive word like revolution serious I am sure they will understand better the reason why Sowore won't go scot-free. How can someone contest for an election and start calling for revolution after he had lost. Revolution in my understanding is carried out with the people not for the people. Ojukwu went on war with Nigeria Government with his people fully mobilize and support. That is how things are done. Not just organize some few individuals in Lagos and call it revolution while people in other states don't even know you. |
