It's extra carefulness. Efosa suggested copying and pasting the transcripts in another chat bubble and then editting there. I was going to try that but I felt I would have to clear out the old part with the timestamp that I left up after working on the by passed transcripts I posted down without the time stamps. So thats like double work cus I go still go up again to clear out the words while carefully avoiding to erase the timestamp on the new platform. Cus the glitch is once you delete even one timestamp it will disrupt the code if you try carefully to delete the timestamp and delete it small small you will see stuffs like "&i:" after the timestamp. If you delete the timestamp accidentally or intentionally it will result in seeing the unedited transcripts in your finished work making you score 1. The key is carefully managing not to disturb the timestamp from where it is. Even if it's in the middle of a sentence just pretend it's not there and continue with your space or comma or whatever else. I did and I scored a 5 so I tried again and this time I deleted the timestamps cus I felt the issue was resolved by QA omo nah so i see 1 o and when I checked the failed transcripts it was the same problem a section of it was still there untouched. Even the redo you will still fail it because it's structured for you to fail cus the timestamps are situated in a way that you'll have no choice but to delete them unless you can spend extra time just deleting the words and avoid touching the timestamp. So my advice once you see score of 1 and it's cus by this same problem just leave the redo alone. It's easier for PC users but this new platform will be more strenous on smart phone users but like shite faced Arlen said QA is not meant to be used on a smart phone or tablet. Anyone else who had this same problem like should share their experience or what they think went wrong. I was very guilty of deleting the timestamp and the one time I did not touch it I scored a 5. I simply ignored the timestamp like it was Samsard. LMAO JK man JK man lol |

I feel once you accidentally or intentionally delete the timestamp just release the call and be more careful next time even if you bring it back with Ctrl+Z. Though this problem is not affecting all new platform members I don't think so. Maybe 20 or 25% beta platform members are affected by this. |

Transcribers, una Weldone oooo. My first 2 GIGs were 8 & 9 minutes calls. Did not see any 2/3 minutes calls there to transcribe. The least was 8 minutes call. I wonder how a newbie like me would be transcribing such long calls. I had to release them las las since i could not meet up with time given to transcribe. I'll try again, maybe in the evening. I had no issues with the reps but those customers are something else. Would have to play the audio over and over before I could have a grasp of what they're saying. Phew! It's really exasperating. Anyways, it's all good. Maybe it will be better in the evening, don't know yet. The overall experience was great and y'all were a lot helpful with the things y'all posted in the previous posts. God bless y'all |

berbs: You try to even attempt it kudos on that. U probably picked funding circle Uk or any other UK call. Their accent is a nuisance even for top transcribers next time if u see a 8 mins or 9 min call and the time allocated is 3 hours something mins pick it those ones are mostly easier to hear and decipher. There is a formula for it but if a long call is given smaller time to finish than the others then it is surely American accent call. |

PattyMike: Arlen and I went back and forth on thus smartphone issue leading to the removal of my old account on Slack . So this is what I do and since nwafresh said we should share , this is my own hack. So I work strictly on my smartphone, and it's been quite easy for me. What I do is I simply break the auto transcripts into smaller section and then I select all and delete all the way to the first bubble, that's the only way to successfully delete those irritating timestamps, that first bubble will still contain the very first timestamp which cannot be deleted, that's way you can start fresh and create your own Cus/rep chat bubble as normal. I tried it first on that Friday with a 3 min call, was rated 4, been doing that ever since, and have only got ratings of 4s& 5s. So for me it's like nothing changed, because the mobile page doesn't even have the loop, play snippet at the bottom of the screen, so for me it's been business as usual. So when she kept saying it's for PC only and bla bla, I had to check her, Pau C was surprised that it could actually be done on a smartphone. Lol welcome to Nigeria PS I use Chrome browser. 2 Likes

PattyMike:Thanks bro, the reps are both working for travel agencies. The first customer had Puerto Rican accent and the other sound one sounded like a native English speaker always muttering and mumbling his words and very fast at it. It's that bad that there was nothing transcribed in his own timeline or time stamp. I'm sure transcribers must have worked on that call more than once. It's well. |

Sometimes I wish the customers/rep would know that it is human beings not machines that transcribe this calls. Like a call I did yesterday they only spoke about the important for about 40 secs the remaining 10 mins was used on gossiping, this one talk her family problem the customer talk about her cousin is divorced and has no money but had to rely on parents to help out. I just dey provoke like mad ontop call, as in I hate gossip. I no even know say oyibo they gossip like this. The Rep was even encouraging her to go on lol. The two of them came dey do sofo. Women and gossip, I guess it's general regardless of skin color. |

I wanted to leave the thread, but let me share my tip first and this works on PC. Cut the whole AI transcript when you open a page (CTRL X) then paste as plain text (CTRL + shift + V). And you have a transcript without timestamps. Good luck. 5 Likes |

For those who have the unedited final transcript problem. Don't copy and CUT and then repaste. It will cut out thr timestamp join, I tried that after I read Efosa suggestion. I still failed with 1 kongba. Not everyone on the new platform has this peculiar problem as I've noticed on slack. For those who do, treat the timestamp as sacred and avoid touching that baby or it's 1 for you. Jesus my rating don enter like 1.9 because of trial and error I just hope they give me like one more day and not this midnight. |

Please oo, someone should help me out here. I joined Qa because of boredom 2 days ago. And honestly, so far so good. I've successfully finished 2 jobs with a rating of 4. I was on my 3rd yesterday but my time elapsed (I have a hyperactive toddler & currently far gone in my second pregnancy). And since then, the number of calls dropped significantly. From 600 and something to just 5 or 6 when I refresh. And even worse, since yesternight till now, there are no calls to edit at all. Is there something I'm not doing right? I'm willing to learn. Please don't read and ignore 1 Like |
