The reality is that Igbos can't go it alone as things are currently structured. I'm a socioeconomic and political pragmatist. Besides, even if it were possible for Igbos to go it alone, I would still prefer the rest of my Southern (and Middle Beltan) brothers and sisters to be part of it.

The truth is that, in spite of the pseudo 'beef', partly fuelled by mutual suspicion and jealousy and partly fuelled by the North, a Republic of Southern Nigeria consisting of Igbos, Yorubas and the different ethnic groups from the South South and Middle Belt would be an African Super Power of unprecedented dimensions.

There would be no political ojoro or marginalisation in such a country, because everyone is educated, exposed, and sensible. Nobody go cheat anybody. Unlike the current abokki dominated Pederal repubulik op 'Naijeriya' where unproductive and parasitic quota system dumbos are in charge,, everyone in a Republic of Southern Nigeria would bring something valuable to the table. The Constitution and political arrangement would not only encourage fairness and equal distribution of political opportunities, it would also entrone meritocracy in the political and socioeconomic space.
