Nigsrdumb:Why not convert half of your naira to dollar, it’s still a good option because once naira is devaluated you’ll still make gains. I won’t advise one to have all savings in naira. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Yea usually most girls occupy the place on an average period of 1 to 3 months. Power is provided for them but limited to one bulb per room. No matter the situation in Nigerian men will always find where to relax. ahiboilandgas: |

Initially it cost up to this and even more but once a rapport is established with the unit in control of the area then na money for the road matter. contumely2: |

Barrytone: This is not a blanket application. It applies only to fixed tenancies. If Tunde pays you YEARLY and has lived in your house for 5 years, will you give him just 7 days notice if his last rent expires in 31st december? Assuming you don't like him anymore? So he will look for apartment within the 7 days? I don't expect you to understand this though as it's a tad recondite. I won't argue this further. 1 Like |

contumely2: read supreme court judgement Iheanacho v uzochukwu (1997) 2 N.W.L.R (PT. 487) 257 AT 268-270 AND ALSO ALSO AYINKE STORES LTD V. ADEBOGUN (2008) 10 NWLR (PT. 1069)612. COURT OF APPEAL JUDGEMENT ON SPLINTERS (NIG) LTD V. OASIS FINANCE LTD (2013) 18 N.W.L.R. (PT. 1385) 188 AT 220. Its deemed that u have a notice from the day of tenancy as you knew its epiration date, u don't need another notice when you knew all along that your rent will expire. the 7 days notice is for recovery of property and not a notice to quit. I will equally argue less as am not a lawyer but i understand written English. Effluxion of time is a quit notice serve from inception. Tunde should have discussed his continued stay before the expiration. 3 Likes |

OgogoroFreak: before now, i believe this but i now know after my last week experience that the said six months is for a tenant whose tenancy has not elapse and not an illegal occupant. i stated courts judgements so its not my ideas 8 Likes 1 Share |

eniorisha:It's so pathetic the situation we found ourselves in this country. My cousins wife was also paid 15k per month in a sch despite graduating with a 1st class from the university. I was so happy when my cousin finally took her abroad. This kind of pay is highly demoralizing and kills the morale in students having learnt that their teacher is a 1st class graduate teaching them with such a meagre salary. A similar incidence happened to a senior friend who graduated with a 1st class in Pet Engineering from UI and got PTDF to study MSC Pet Engineering from Imperial College, London and also graduated with Distinction there. The guy declined tke job offer he got in UK upon graduation and returned to Nigeria, that God asked him to go back home. On getting to Naija, the guy couldn't get a decent job but had to resort to a teaching job in a school. The students he was teaching was shocked to hear that he is a 1st class graduate from UI, he said he cant even let them know that he is a UK Distinction graduate as well. This kind of situation can demoralise students. Anyway, I was so happy for him when he finally landed a job with ExxonMobil. We really need to pray for this country and encourage students to also build other sellable skills while in sch that can make them independent and job creator. 8 Likes 1 Share |

If faced with such a situation that is i have been responsible with the payment of my rent over the years and a day after the recent expiration of rent am issued with 7 days notice what do you advice? |

Still functioning. Just got 112 days secondary for 6% a few minutes ago at 11:35. This is 11:40 now. I had another option for 63 days at 5%. What I did, I took the phone number of the person that received my filled form because at the time I filled there was none available. So from time to time I kept calling from time to time to prompt the person to check, don't forget they are also busy and won't remember to do that for you without the very polite prompting. My experience in life is that simple cordiality and respect gets things done.
