Point of correction, Lagos is improving everyday. All thanks to uber idea. The state govt actually lacks this initiative. If they don't know what to do, others would teach them from outside.
lagos too has their own commercial boats.uber is just joining the Terminal
The terminal was built by lagos state, before Uber joined the terminal was already in operation with lagos boats. Visit falomo and see for urself

The only state in Nigeria witnessing real modernisation and innovation is Lagos State.

Every other state in Nigeria is a shithole and a waste of resources.

Makinde Tapoline Okada initiative made me lose hope in his capacity to innovate and modernise Oyo State.

The only state generating trillions on a near yearly basis in revenue...

You think Lagos is really modern??!... If a quarter of her income is fully utilized, that state will exceed Dubai... Same issue facing the states you are correctly slating.

What am I getting at??!... The entire country is a fvcking shithole, including Lagos!!! Nothing personal.

Wow

#Nigeria. Uber boats for commuters in Lagos started running today. The ride hailing service is being piloted for 2 weeks. About 4K people travel by boat into the city daily (source:Waterways Passengers Assoc) to avoid getting stuck in its notoriously slow rush - hour traffic.

When government no dey do anything. No initiative

Waiting for Uberjet....

This mediocrity has to stop, what does tinubu have to do with uber, does he own the company? Nigerians singing praises with the wrong chorus, instead of hailing uber for their initiative, you're here posting the picture of tinubu. This is why your leaders treat you like trash because you don't know when to praise and when to criticize. The other day, someone was praising obasanjo for bringing mobile telecommunications to Nigeria, what a shame sad

ARE YOU SURE THEY RIGHTLY ANSWERED THE QUESTION OF "WHAT CAUSES LAGOS TRAFFIC?"

Or just another Nigerian business founded on hope and motivational talks

Pray tell, what causes Lagos traffic? Please educate us.

Are you blind to see that he is building flyovers to ease traffic? And more roads too?

I doubt you live in Rivers state. Besides, uber is not a government investment. You can replicate such business in Rivers and earn money for yourself.

Don't allow me to give you one odumeje's quote now.

N500 X 35 persons on a trip equals to N17,500 for just a trip

A boat could run up to 20 trips on the average per day. Now use your tongue to count your teeth cheesy

20 trips haba? They are doing two trips per day. People use that route early in the morning and in the evening during the close of business.

nice way forward only if the govt would place their heavy duty eyes on the growinp firm.

Just sharing information. If you are too proud or politically biased to accept that, it's your problem not mine. I'm not here to play APC-PDP politics. Just stating the facts.

in 2014, a friend of mine came from UK with a viable proposal to take over sea transport in lagos but Fashola's people turned it down. They now redesigned the proposal to suit their selfish ends. It didn't see the light of the day. We later found out that somebody suddenly shipped into the country some fairly used commercial boats to ferry people around, some of which later capsized and the case died there.

Ambode actually wanted to do something similar by constructing the jetty you mentioned. It's good to know uber is helping out though.

I believe they won't be transporting one passenger at a time due to the terrain.

Nigeria Lagos is Improving everyday.

Nigeria on the other hand is becoming a dumping ground for African refugees.
