@ EngrSarah

Will it be possible doing it here in Nigeria. There are lots of good hospitals in Abuja and Lagos even Warri. Remember 60% of couples conceive on the first trial. Some may need to try again. Come down. Freeze some embryos. Regarding the semen, I know we had some crazy bad results . really bad but with good drugs, treating infection, eating right, exercise, prayers and good rest everything fell in line. Read backward. There was this drugs we were placed on FHPRO. suggest it to your Dr. But also build up the semen before any trial.

It's just a phase. Be positive and don't give up

Thank you mama! I can't really leave the US now because I am on a temporary visa that restricts travel

The last test result as at March, 2019;
Motility: 15% active, 25% sluggish
Morphology: 30% normal, 70% abnormal
Count: 25.3million
Ma'am, I am Congratulating you in advance for the positive result you're getting soon.

I will advice you based on experience that, Fibroids operation is required before IVF
Secondly, you can conceive through IVF/ICSI.

The IVF can be done after three months from the day fibroids was operated. You need to prepare your body during the three months Wait before IVF procedure.

My husband sperm count was 600thousand when I conceived through the help of IVF. With the result shown, you can still carry your triplets.

You can start putting every thing in prayer now.

Everything still need God's intervention. My two ovary was okay before my fibroids operation but to my greatest surprise one of my ovary was removed during the fibroids operation. To God be the glory, I still embark on the IVF with one ovary.

In summary ma'am, you can still give birth through IVF with multiple babies.

Try and look for a good fertility hospital. Waiting for your own testimony soon.

Hello mamas/papas in the house. Great job with this thread...I have been on the ttc thread for sometime now but I decided to look for an IVF thread because it seems like my best option right now.

I got married in mid 2016 and hubby and I were apart for a year. But we have been together for over 2 years now but nothing...never been pregnant even once. Anyways, we started seeing a reproductive endocrinologist recently and he is suggesting IVF. DH's sperm analysis showed low motility and zero normal shaped. He has also had one testicle removed and an hernia surgery. The doctor said he is not so worried about the motility because he can help improve that but that the absence of any normal shaped semen is his fear.

Now, we are in the US and IVF is crazy expensive here but dh and I have decided to take a loan or whatever and do it (apart from the sperm issues, we are both AS and were planning to do Amniocentesis or something along that line. However, now since we have not even been able to conceive, we think we will be killing two birds with a stone (very expensive stone though).

My questions then are:
1. Would the issue of having no normal shaped semen not also affect the success rate of the IVF
2. Has anyone on this thread (or anyone you know) done IVF in the US? Need to ask some questions
3. Any general advise for me and my issues
Ma'am, I have a friend that is caring triplet now, we're both attending Antenatal together now. Her husband was having zero sperm count. They operated the husband to get sperm and she's caring her babies now. I also waited for 7years and 10month before God answered me thorough the help of IVF. Your husband need to visit good fertility hospital. After several test. Different options will be given to him but I will advice that he should take some drugs before the procedure such as Addezoa or Fertiaid and Ma'am, you also need to prepare your self before the IVF procedure. Sex selection and genotype selection can be done during the IVF procedure but they will charge you for the extra cost.

Thanks a lot ma'am. I really do appreciate your advice. On a serious note, embarking on IVF journey and the cost involved is not really easy. I strongly believe that God will visit me like others someday.
So sorry for what you passed through but I really thank God for your victory.

You're right Ma'am but Grabbo is cheaper.(Grabbo cost is 600k without freezing).

Access bank give loan too in which payment can be done within two years but the loan benefit cost 2million for one cycle.

Another thing is that embarking on the IVF journey on time matter a lot. For Instance, two years after my wedding, I was having only one fibroid and the size was 1.1cm but because I waited for long and age is not on my size again, the fibroids increase to three with 11cm, 9cm, 8cm.I look as if I was 6month pregnant because of the fibroids but my tommy went flat after the operation.

If someone embark on the journey on time, it helps because someone AMH will still be okay.

I strongly believe in something Ma'am, If you really determine to embark on the IVF journey. God will provide for you because the babies are also praying that God provide for my daddy and mummy because we want to meet them. The most important thing is that someone should believe money will come and believe also that only one cycle will bring her babies to the family.

ivf is the usa is usually from 25k usd , and success isnt guaranteed,, depends on your schedule, if you guys can come down to nigeria, with jjust a fraction of that amount, you will do your ivf in a good place with high chances, OLIVE BRANCH/GEORGES/LILY etc..i learnt they offer pgd and other pre-transfer emryo tests as well.

Hello all,
Very very new here, I'm not sure I'm posting this question in the appropriate place sef, pls I just had my embryo transfer yesterday, I had 2 transferred , grade of 4BC and 3BC. Please how good are these and what's the possible success for implantation ?

I had a severe OHSS situation from FSH stimulation but I have recovered now and got my frozen embryos transferred.

Any advise on what to do to aid implantation? I have been scared to leave the bed since yesterday.

Thanks sisters, God bless you all

I also had severe OHSS. It could be very painful. Kpele. Some of the steps I took were

Serious prayers ( I , myself and myself. Like 3 months before the procedure. The scriptures made me less tensed. Every night during the two weeks wait I woke up between 12am-3am to pray)

I did some walk. Like 30- 60 minutes daily. Walk around the house

I took pineapple (don't know if it was helpful)

Ate all kinds of food but avoided pepper soup spices, potash and food containing lots of pepper

Avoided talk on the phone for hours and searching the net

Watched movies that made me laugh and series I liked like desperate housewives,Tudors etc

Ate lots of avocado

Had a atmosphere of praise and worship

Avoided lifting heavy objects

HAD MY BATH WITH WARM WATER

ANOINTED MY TOMMY WITH MY ANOINTING OIL.

Praised and praised and praised God

Took lots of water and wore free clothes.

TOOK MY PROGESTERONE DILIGENTLY. HAD SOMEONE DELIVER FOOD TO ME.HAD LOTS OF RELAXED MOMENTS. DIDN'T TAKE ANY DRUG OUTSIDE WHAT I WAS GIVEN AT THE HOSPITAL. ALSO AVOIDED DRIVING AND USING BIKE.

NOTE: SOME PEOPLE DONT DO QUARTER YET THEY TESTIFY.

HI siraj, 2 weeks wait can be so stressful and emotional.

I had OHSS too. What I did was to watch happy movies. I walked round my sitting room for 30 mins daily.

I ate healthy food with low carbohydrates because I had PCOS. I also drank lots of water. I used my cyclogest and also combined it with progesterone Injection.

Above all, I prayed and asked God for mercy.

Please don't eat complete pineapple. Only the core is required for 5days after embryo transfer.

@Siraj20: Only two embryo was transferred during my own procedure and my result came out positive. I am 4monthplus pregnant now.

Just be positive and take enough water, 30minutes walk within the house, don't bath until after 5days and don't miss your medication, no sex, eat enough vegetable, suspend all house work, and be prayerful. All the best Ma'am

I don't no oooo

My sis, I used all my medications and followed all procedure mentioned earlier because I want result and my own is that all of my friends followed the same thing and they are mothers now after so many years of waiting. I also followed it because I wanted positive result. I followed all the procedure because of positive result. I was also told not to take bath after my fibroids operation for five days

In summary: I am not a medical doctor but I was advised to follow all the procedure because it increase chances for positive result. In everything sha, we still need God's interventions

@ tripletwins222, it is well my sister. But u shouldnt lose hope, i know male factor can be so terrible, with dh's 23million cells and some motility something can still happen. I have a friend whose wife got bfp with 3million at first cycle. He was so happy when it happened. But i hope your hubby maintains a healthy lifestyle, does he smoke and drink? Does he make out time to rest? God will see you through dear. Dont be discouraged, it will end in praise.

Good evening everyone
I have decided to try out IVF again with Grabbo.
Trusting God to perfect it and make me a mother in 2020.

Please mamas from Lagos that cycled with Grabbo. How did you handle Accommodation??
My last failed cycle made me opt for Grabbo's three cycle promo which took a hit on my purse, I am now wondering how to cut cost with Accommodation.
Someone suggested a service apartment, I am not sure how price friendly that it.
