Please do not go there and protest, the number of applicants re too much that’s why there’s no available appointments slot at least for 12 months. There re other countries u can have quality education for free also if u can’t wait. But remove the mentality that its ur right cuz it’s just arrogant and won’t work.

40% of Nigerians who came to study ended up not studying, all this re factors considered to reduce the rate of Nigerian students flowing in. So either be patient or look for alternative but do not make it even worst by going there.

What is the meaning of this? Who is going their to protect? And who told you the university I applied for is Free? Guy be very careful, be very very careful.

Lol, now you don't care how much I pay, fine. Then if you feel you can seat down at the comfort of your home and get accurate information then you must have a rethink.

No 2. I always get information from the Embassy myself, we were even 4 as of last month, so if 2 or 3 go and hear from the same source then we will be on a right track.

No 3. My office dey Embassy maybe you go come sack me.

Young man you better get sense.

You feel entitled because u paid some fees. Nobody give a shit about that.

So the embassy should take u as VIP, nahh watin u dey expect....lol .. my guy u dey on a long thing

we should not bring up issues where there is non, everyone has the right to ask questions directly from the Embassy which is what we need, which is also what i have done before and can still also do, besides when you go to the Embassy they have sections for enquiries , i do not see arrogance from his side instead you are bringing up unnecessary panic which is very bad of you to do.

we should all be very careful with words we use at times and the way we communicating to others using the Social media. we are all here for one aim which we all know, but if we have another alternative plans then do not bother us here.

You think the embassy makes decisions without the approval of the people you wanna report to??

That's why I say whatever the embassy has said I final

That's how they changed the booking style in May some guys were doubting saying by November it will go back to the normal style of either email or pick date yourself

If you're still lost and hoping they change their mad
Sorry to burst your bubble but they won't

It's a subtle way of saying they don't want us anymore in large numbers

The only thing I just wanna ask them
What of those that booked before that message came on the site

But then going back on their decision
Nahhh it won't happen nothing you say or do will budge those guys trust me Las Las na their country the BA na your own no be them go spend am

I feel they want us to remove our mind from Germany for now, besides i noticed everybody wants to go to Germany. but still i believe and hope everything will be fine

Right to enquiries from the consulate directly is always allowed, this shouldn't bring up any issue.

Remember if u go close, u know more and get first hand information.

Right now,, the consulate needs to be specific, they should tell us our faith. Nobody has such time to waste.

If other African countries still use the old booking system, ours shouldn't be different.

We are still trying to inline with all those changes they made lately, adding a 1yr waiting time is a total bomb.. Its even better telling us to withdraw all our applications and leave this system for them.

I just want to add this.

1. Getting a Visa is not your right, even if you are paying millions of Euro .. the host still determines if you are worthy or their Visa or not, even Nigeria dey deny people Visa.

2. Almost every country monitors their intake from another country, which suggests there is a quota somewhere - going by this "Disclosing that there are 1,200 Nigerians currently studying in Germany, Merkel said the German government was working to increase the number" (https://allafrica.com/stories/201809010004.html). The president, sometime around 2016 when he visited Nigeria, said that they are increasing it to 700 per year (I wish I can find that link too). I don't know whether the quota have reduced or increased but clearly the number of student applicants is very much now, job (seeking) applicants have increased too and now taking up whatever the slots numbers are available, those that came before are now also doing reunion, settling refuges and asylum seekers .. and everyone has "valid" reasons and that is why it is also affecting all group and not just the students. If they are not giving date, it only means demand is very more than the available supply.

I don't know the factors the Government is using to evaluate increase/decrease of intake ... much as I don't know if the average performance of Nigerians already in DE can encourage an intake increment but I am sure you get my logic. I will like to think most of the recent criteria introduced by the embassy might be based on data (feedback) to get the "best" out of those they are taking. You can ask your brothers & sisters in Germany, how well Nigerians are doing on average.

3. If you can, you can check other countries or just wait and hope. One thing I am kinda sure about is, the embassy will not give AD ...only to be granting Visa to people by luck or mere "eye evaluation" and denying people in a spree ...like some other countries do.

4. If you want any clarification, you can just write them and you can also go there to ask (not like one can enter there without proper documents anyways)

Best wishes to all.

Nicely said and evaluated. Approximately 60% of Nigerians in Germany re doing fine at least with education

Guys I have AD already. On the 20th of December. But in a wrong category I thought that the discount in my fees qualifies as a scholarship. Which is cat A under scholarship

I wouldn't like to go there pay flight, rent a hotel room then at the end after paying the visa fee I get turned back......

Should I honour the invitation or I should join the waiting crew.

I also intend to go there with request to withdraw my BA money.

I want to close the account

which side are you Mr man, i do not see any reason why you will comment since you are completely against us getting raw information from the consulate here in Lagos and also to you asking questions means Protest, and also we have no right to ask question from the consulate all according to you.

Congrats.!You are one of the lucky ones. The programme is almost restricted. We are just 22 that got admitted for the Winter 2019/2020.

I would advise you to start searching for accomodation.

I spoke with someone in Germany about the same AD issue, the only thing he was talking about is BLAME IT on our brothers over there. It is evidently visible Europeans no longer want to accommodate us. It started from Czech republic asking Nigerians to leave their country and the story continued to other country like France raising tuition from 200euro, now Germany. Too bad the genuine persons who really want to acquire first class skills are bearing the disappointment. I suggest we send a petition to the embassy to make them see our plight, my 2 cent though.

Good morning landers,

I have followed sternly, concerns, queries, questions, assumptions, presumptions on the lag time for appointment extended to the student visa section lately.

I was moved to add this after the comment of Gaddafithe2nd, from whom i was able to infer admission for winter is still on. I wouldnt know if a lot of others awaiting AD for CAT A are also in a similar boat. ie winter

This was stated early in Nov 2019 on the german website
Can't say though if it has any form of connection with the recent development.

I would employ us all to be civil in our quest to get answers to our questions, queries, enquiries.

Like someone rightly stated it is within the jurisdiction of the consulate to grant or withhold visa to any person(s) they wish, nonetheless, I believe in all fairness and responsibility they (consulate) should provide some statement to the qualified Nigerian students willing to participate in the free tertiary education Germany claims to offer the world.

I am sure they would try as much as possible avoid the tenets of impartiality raising its head here. I have read in this post folks associating the recent development to our explosive population, in that regard and in my opinion I disagree, what of india?
Cameroon isnt up to us but they have the highest denied visa for entry into Germany on the continent.

I believe in all optimism that all this will normalise as we move into the new year.

Bro I am not pessimistic I'm being factual.

Like I said in my other quote all I wanna ask how about us who booked before they put that statement on their site

If we are affected then it's a jonzing tin we are on then

Pls pls pls there should not be reason for any argument about whether or not AD will be given this summer, the best thing is to make a subtle enquiry about all the issues surrounding AD either by Phn call or by visiting the lagos Consulate. And this has just been done by one of us....
