Any matter that involves prosecution is under the ministry of justice of which the Attorney General is in charge. Investigation may be the prerogative of the DSS but prosecution is definitely the prerogative of the ministry of justice. The Attorney General can actually order the commencement or dropping of charges in any case against any individual before a federal Court.
