Be that as it may.
People should always be careful how they treat these so called low workers.
Some of them due to their situation in life have very limited control over their emotions;it's also made worse by the fact they sometimes indulge in illicit drugs intake and potent alcoholic drinks.

I'm quite generous by nature, I routinely, almost pathologically give tips here and there to waiters/bar men, artisans and these categories of people who attend to me. But I notice that a sense of entitlement soon builds up. The day you don't have small change to give, or the day you choose not to give, many of them would squeeze face. It's funny but also instructive and scary. Now I've learnt my lessons and I'm a bit more 'stingy' and aloof with these types. It's safer that way abeg.

For your information, I'm more informed on this case than you think. I heard of it in less than 24 hours after it happened. You're just getting to know about it obviously . It's stale news already. No excuse for murder and yes, but in case you have a maid, even if its 10k you agreed , his/her own life could depend on that. Pay as promised to avoid impending dangers to you and your family. Its same crime-related story we hear everyday. I've heard of a maid who put her mistress' baby inside a freezer and ran away. She later sent a message that, the woman was owing her salary but refused to pay. Another incident happened at Daniel estate in yaba where the maid broke into the house and made away with expensive jewelry and sold it for millions of naira. When caught she said her madam was wicked because she refused to pay her 3 months arrears which the woman agreed to, the woman said it was because she was rude to her and she wanted to use that as a means of punishing her....how rude could she have been? Her salary was 30k.

Again, about 2 months ago inside one Isheri estate in Lagos, one stupid woman locked a maid up in an abandoned house and left for church. This maid had not eaten for over 24 hours and was crying for help in the house. Thanks to the neighbour who came feeding the maid and broke the door open. Channels tv was Ivited to cover the scene because the house was also close to their station. The idiot of a woman never knew the phone was on speaker when she was contacted. She said and so? Channels have always been covering such news as its not new to her. The woman is in soup as we speak. Had the maid had the opportunity to access a knife or gun, the needful would have been done and someone like you would have been blaming the maid....give to to people what belongs to them as promised and you could save yourself and family of any danger. Same applies to business contracts or agreements. It's that simple. Some people are ruthless, they don't value their own lives let alone the life of others. We can always avoid needless trouble
