During our undergraduate days, we faced a lot of challenges ranging from school fee, accommodation fee, feeding allowance and money to buy handouts.

This in turn do frustrate our parents making most of them not to pick our calls, some students engage themselves in side hustles while the ones from very rich home have no issues during their stay. Schooling in Nigeria is a rigorous exercise....

During my undergraduate days in one of the state polytechnic, there was a day i called my dad actually, i don't want to ask him money for handouts. So I initiated a plan, I told him a friend of mine just lost his father, he wants to travel to Lagos and he needs money. My father show some condolence for the faked death and he sent 3k to me, when i got to my friends house he was happy i got the money from my dad, and he called my friend who confirmed the death......

Four months later, it was the incidence of the departmental ID cards, I scammed my dad for the second time, ever since then my conscience have been pricking me but I'm still good with it.

Fake sickness to ever caring parents.

I cant really remember anyone i used on my dad but i remembered the one our landlord's son used on his father when i was in still in secondary school. The dude just gained admission then. There was a biology book authored by stone and cozen. Dude went and told his dad that he wants to buy two books one named stone and the other named cozen. ( in reality it is just one single text) but he collected double fund for an imaginary book.

Anyway i scammed my aunty then that i had accomodation problem and will be thrown out of my hostel. Sist sent 25k(big sum then) and i use the money arrange my house. How she didnt confirm from my parents still baffles me. I bought a small 14 inch trinitron Sony TV and those small VCD players with speaker at the side and plenty disco lights in the front. (those were the days of vcd players and nokia 3310)
I was seen as a big boy then in my lodge as my house was pimped over night with luxury now those things are trash

Only remember being hypotized one time i stole from my mum, and for those playstation 1 and 2 days

My biggest hit ever was in secondary school, I had a friend whose older brother had a printing press so I used to edit any news letter from school that had anything to do with payment, one time we were asked to pay one huge sum so I edited my letter and added 2k extra, I sold the idea to other schoolmates and had so many customers, I charged 100 naira per copy and made so much money but unfortunately nah "social worker" collect all the money las las(first time), story for another day.......

As a street nigga back in the days, so many format I used scammed my mama cos mama is so passionate but my papa, you can never use any format on him. That man Sabi as he dey go die. Can't blame him, it will take extra ordinary sense for someone to scam a retired soldier. God bless our parents!

My dad (rest in peace to him) was the type that required us to write our school needs on an foolscap sheet.

Then, he went on to cut and cut until 50k became 5k.

No provisions, no clothes, no stationeries, no household stuffs etc.

Just rent, school fees, transport fare, school association dues and very few school needs like photocopies, project etc.

We used to add imaginary items like textbooks but the man caught on and wouldn't even give us the money for that.

So, we turned to increasing school fees, hostel rent and inventing payments for school associations.

I once got creative and told him we were doing some construction project in school and we needed to buy blocks, cement and wood.

He couldn't cut that money.

I remember collecting between 10-20k for that project back then.

Fake sars arrest. But one day my brother told them to Goan kill me. Fear catch me that day

On a Christmas season,I claimed my drink was laced with poison when I went out with friends

Came back home,formed vomiting blood while asking my parents for money to go treat myself.

Trust my parents,they just concocted some native mixtures to trash my claim ..no money came out,only advice

lol I will be back... OK now am back... in my case ehh hmmm, make nobody judge me cha.... OK in my college of education days eh I was so good with the computer that I normally had 2 receipts, one for my father the other one for me... the one for my father was as usual padded and inflated.... while the one for me was the actual amount paid.... as for text books that was normal cutting, I added courses I wasn't even doing and as usual it was padded and inflated too.

But in my university days I turned a new leaf as I already had a job and I was 80% in charge of my fees and school matters.

Currently am married and have a son and I always pray that he never gets involve in half what his father did back in the days. Amen...

My father provided everything I needed. I never saw the point to lie about issues. The only times I was forced to lie was to backup a scheme my sibling(s) deviced.
