ty01: Profile comes across as pretty sound, and strong. But then, were these in-laws’ details stated in your application, and how did they get into Canada? There may be a strong perception by the VO of deliberate dissociation of self from them for evasive reasons due to one shortcoming or the other, and even a personal ulterior motive. Have you ever overstayed your visa/approved POE days elsewhere? Payments for son’s birth, how reasonable were the figures paid? Wow! Good to be back on this thread, just finished doing catch-up.... 2 Likes |

Hello all, thank you for all the good job you are doing here. I submitted a visiting application for my wife and it got approved on November 21. She submitted her passport as requested at the VFS global office on November 22. They sent an email after the submission that the passport is under processing at the IRCC Office in Lagos OC. Since then, there has not been an update on her application and when the passport was tracked, it showed 'No Records Found'. We have sent emails to both the VFS and Lagos IRCC office, no response yet. Please has anybody had a similar experience before? what do we need to do, please? |

Thanks @OmoBendel24. I thought it was sound as well until I got the refusal mail. To answer your questions, I’ve never overstayed or abused any of my visas and the hospital bill was reasonable; think about 10k or a little more. I’ll think about next steps in January, as for now I’m in a grateful mode for making it to 2020 by God’s grace. OmoBendel24: 1 Like 1 Share |

ty01: @the bolded is fair enough in my understanding, it most likely isn’t the issue then, and it couldn’t be coming from your other visa usage too as it seems. You didn’t touch on the below quote in blue, no offence intended please, just trying to zero in on what may have gone wrong based on my understanding of your lead post sir. “But then, were these in-laws’ details stated in your application, and how did they get into Canada? There may be a strong perception by the VO of deliberate dissociation of self from them for evasive reasons due to one shortcoming or the other, and even a personal ulterior motive.” Regards! 2 Likes |

Like I said before, the refusal is baseless and hilarious. I honestly think the VO made a mistake; they are humans you know. To answer your question, both of them are legal residents, they went to Canada via the PR parole. I believe they are also comfortable as one just bought a house. They come to Naija once in a while. I wasn’t just interested in relocating otherwise I would have been a naturalized citizen by now. I am not offended by your questions at all, please feel free as others may also learn one or two things from them. I have requested for the gcms notes as I would love to understand their thinking pattern that led to the refusal. OmoBendel24: 2 Likes |

Patience is a virtue! Just be patient they will eventually release it. Those guys are erratic; they can be pretty fast (within two weeks) and I’ve heard of 3 months as well. Just recently, my boss had to write them to cancel his visa that he doesn’t need the visa any longer as he needs to travel the following day after waiting endlessly; that same day was when they released his passport to him with visa on it. At times, they run out of visa slip as well; this is Naija. Timioguntuyaki: 1 Like |

Good morning, I applied for TRV since oct 18th with the plan to travel with my family on the 30th of December. The Tbills certificate I submitted will expire on the 26th....I am concerned that the investment wil cease to exist from that date and the embassy all not get a favourable confirmation from the bank after the expiry of the investment. I am yet to get any update on the application and my family and I still intend to travel all the same cos it is a trip enroute USA. Please is there anything I can do in respect of the investment once it expires and visa application still pending? Please I need an urgent suggestion....God bless. goldosa: |

My people,Good evening to you all. My uncle want to apply for a Canadian Visa. He has had 2 diff sets of Canadian Visa ranging form 3 yrs and 2 years respectively. During the validity of his last visiting Visa, he undertook a medical procedure in Canada which he had paid for fully. The doctor is requesting him to come over for a check up and his previous Visa had expired. I want to know which Visa is he going to apply for now. Is it medical or visiting? It's a bit confusing to me because he would also be visiting his daughter who is schooling in Canada too within the period of him attending to his health there. Gurus in the house, kindly respond and explain the appropriate step to undertake in renewing this Visa. Thank you |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by ty01: 10:01am On Dec 18, 2019 |
If one of his supporting documents is the correspondence from his doctor for him to come for a medical checkup on the previous procedure, then his application is definitely for medical. Medical visa doesn’t preclude you from visiting people and places, so he would be able to visit his daughter. But he might be denied because he abused the previous visa by using a visit visa for medical. He should have notified the embassy back then before traveling for the procedure. passionup: |

passionup: Please let him apply as a visitor based on his previous visa and no complicate the issue because canada has no category for medical visa and ur uncle applying to see a doctor will raise so much suspicious and proof you will not be a burden on tax payer may be request even when you provide proof ur visa can still be rejected because canada medical system priority for now is for citizen and resident not foreign visitors ...let him apply to see his daughter to make the application simplier then when visa issue he can go to visit his daugher then branch at dentist or any other doctor so far he can afford it 2 Likes |

ty01: I guess not being able to track your application is a new development cos I submitted application on December 2nd also (paper route). I got confirmation my documents has been sent to IRCC. Visa application, tracking ID No. ********** has been received at the Lagos OC VAC on 2019-12-03 10:20:14 AM GMT Standard Time and is on transit to the IRCC Office in Lagos OC ,for processing. And I tried tracking from the following week, I got response to the tracking saying, 'no records found' I mailed them and this was the response I got Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for writing to VFS Kindly be informed that your application is not ready yet for collection; it is still under processing at the Embassy. Unlike 2015 when my brother applied for canadian study visa, he was able to track from the following week, I guess what we are experiencing now is a new development. So I will advise those still waiting be patient and not to worry. It will end in praise in Jesus name. 1 Like |

I submitted a visiting application for my wife and it got approved on November 21. She submitted her passport as requested at the VFS global office on November 22. Your wife's passport should be ready for collection (in case you are yet to collect). Just go to VFS office. Had a similar case mid year. |
