The holidays have began, and the proceeds of investment will be flexed. If there's surplus to be flexed, Mbok Hola.

Average rent for 3 bedroom in Lagos is not 1.5m. not everyone stays inside lekki. Do you buy a car very year? So you as a person will agree to pay phcn 40k a month when you are not running a factory? 180k for calls annually when they are not business calls which in that case it becomes an investment.
I can contend food but I'd leave that for now.
September holiday is an optional activity. If the whole country go on holiday in September, who go run the airport when u wan follow commot.
Haba, make una de fear God.

The way people brandished figures to paint Nigeria black is funny. I still pay less than 700k for a 3-bedroom flat with ensuite Master Bedroom in a good area. I stil use the car bought brand new in 2007. I have prepaid meter and i used average of 5k a month and that is even when my kids are at home as they are in boarding schools. Which kin September holiday?. I vacation in the village every December where i relax with authentic palmy with fresh fish from the great River Niger or correct bush meat. cool

Seconded.

I will never give my daughter to a man that doesn't have this figure as his monthly expense in today's naija. I swear down. And BTW, I place the same standard on myself. grin

Then probably u will marry your daughter or give her out to a sugar daddy because 95percent of under 40 year old Nigerian men do not make this amount every month.

To live a very good life in this country, you need 500k+/m. That is life of comfort where you can eat whatever you want and whenever you want, fuel your gen when heat dey, fuel and maintain your car, live in a secure environment, pay bills with comfort etc. You can live some of this lifestyles with less pay but a couple of them must go and you still live fine.

Truth is jobs that pay this amount are very few and requires years of hardwork and experience to reach this level. 1.2m may be high but its not too far away from what gives you that optimal comfort

A report by McKinley has it that less than 2 million Nigerians earned N5 million and above per annum.

That is about 1% of our population earned $15000 and above per annum

It appears fixed deposit is now better that tb in some cases.I was told 6% for 3 months at UBA for FD.One can hardly get a TB that is better than that in terms of tenor and rate.

You'll be shocked, banks are already crashing their rates to 1%, and I'm sure it will be so for for all banks before new year.

The spate of the nation would have improved for the better in 20 years time from now. Once my projects key in, by this time next year, I'll qualify for the treatment I stated way above it. So I expect the same treatment and standards I placed on myself.

I just read the previous pages. 40k/day to live a good live in Nigeria? 1.2m a month? grin grin

These are just the comedy you find online especially on twitter and now nairaland. With 500k monthly you can live rich in Nigeria, with drivers and domestic staff and even go on vacation, infanct 200k-300k monthly, is considered the Nigeria middle class.
Unless you are talking living the lives of Governors, politicians etc with battalion of security, PAs, and other staff.

The 40k/day and 1.2m is just bogus

My brother, thanks for coming to my aid. It is such brandish unrealistic figures that pushes some people into crime.
Sometimes I wonder if it is not a delibrate ploy to get people to declare their financial status while they sit back and profile the different responses, there is nothing some if these bad guys cant do.
Like chigo4u said, 200 to 300k is considered middle class in many cities. Me I know that with 200k to 300k in my place, your lifestyle will be considerably different from the average and many people will start transferring their own bills to you.

The guy has just 500k savings. Where is he going to stay when he gets to lagos? Rent a house and buy basic things in it. How much would be left for him to survive till he gets reasonable thing doing in Lagos? There are millions of people already in Lagos and trying different things just to be financially free to no avail.

Honestly, getting funny inspiration from those that succeeded is not enough o. What about the millions that tried and failed? We are built differently. What works for me, might not work for you.

I ran into my secondary school best friend in lekki job hunting and I decided to help him. I taught him my business and how to run it from importation and all. I even gave him important contacts and a million naira to start small which he did but guess what? Within a year, everything went underground! shocked

A proper conversation with the right person changed my life for good, some 18 yrs ago. Hi bro.. I'm highly interested in importation bizz, hopefully if they are products that sell fast, kindly tutor me on how to go about it, will highly appreciate it, u can email me how to contact u as I wouldn't want share my numb in here.xxxxxx@outlook.com. thanks

I transfer it directly from my online bank here in Europe and reference my e account number.

I've done 3 separate payments so far only one has been added to my account, so I don't even know whether their top up process is working properly.

Here's what they sent regarding top up , hope it helps.

we are here in Nigeria. This your insurance is almost completely out cos this is Nigeria. Now, my solar has been working for 5yrs now, I have never replaced the batteries or work on anything. It's actually far cheaper than burning diesel. I spend just 20k monthly on internet in my house. Honestly, anyway I try to look at it, 1.2m monthly expenses is still high.
Name of Solar please. Diesel quite expensive.
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by kryptem: 4:18pm On Dec 16, 2019
Seems like using Solar along side PHCN prepaid is the cheapest way to go when it concerns power usage from what I have garnered here so far.
Any elaboration?

Then it is better to leave funds in the regular savings account, Cos banks are mandated to pay 4 percent p.a on savings deposits, that is 30% of MPR.

I hit that threshold at 25. I lost it but I'm within that reach " project value" again. I don't measure myself against the worst in the society.

Trust me people are just coded. In the real sense of intellectuals, this isn't money enough. All my study clique in school are in this rank now. So to everyone, the choice to either aim to achieve or to keep whining. To attain, is to inquire how to or work in line with someone who has to attain the trade secrets of how this can be done.
