You are replying one of the flatheaded bastards littering Yoruba land.

That boy is from that gang of losers who can't trace his history.

Exactly he's from Afonja tribe and losers.

It's not today Afonjas are denying their brothers. They even killed and shared Abiola's meat.

What Seyi needs is a pronouncement from the Supreme Court, not a title from the Olubadan.
He won his election fair and square, why would the supreme court want to sack him?

No, you are wrong

A collection of warriors from all over Yoruba land defeated the Fulani in Osogbo, although many of whom now call Ibadan home at that time.

Olubadan (Olu of Ibadan) was simply a caretaker leadership position.

In Ibadan we have different mini towns and villages with roots from all across

It is one of the strangest things.

The Ibadan traditional stool has always been understated.

Maybe a powerful occupant will one day change the narrative...

Some governors have been toying with the stool/ harassing Olubadans ...the same cannot be said of the Alaafin and the Ooni...

Isn't it ironic that you are here shouting Olubadan is underrated yet refuse an opportunity for that the Olubadan to be elevated to the level he deserves, a situation where the Olubadan will be accompanied by Obas in his kingdom with him as the Imperial majesty... You people allowed politics to blind your eyes then and are now shouting Olubadan is underrated

You know your history. That stool should mean more to Yorubaland based on relevance and not even past glory.

As long as they were warriors from Ibadan. The king was implored to instruct Ibadan warriors to galvanize the resistance and they did successfully.

Not entirely true

The warriors didn't really obey Olubadan, they respected the Alafin more.

That was why we had the "ija igboro" street battles amongst the warriors who were mainly hunters in the early days of Ibadan.

The street battles was mainly to win turf and exercise authority over other villages.

To buttress your point, they (Fulanis) were defeated in Inisa at Odo-Otin (Otin River) not Oshogbo. It's popularly called OGUN JALUMI(JALUMI WAR). The site is now a tourist center in Inisa

Baba, this isn't matter of supporting any party..besides, I'm not even a politics somebody. Question is, can you tell you any project Seyi has instituted since he got to that position... all the projects ongoing right now are initiated by Ajimobi..forget about trying to score political goal... since I got to Ibadan, I haven't seen any new project by the governor and plus the fact that Ibadan is now even more dirty... it's still early condemning the guy tho, I get. Thus I'm still giving him the benefit of the doubt. My happiness as well is that he succeed because we the masses are the ones that will enjoy good governance

Ibadan is a military barracks turned refugre camp turned metropolis.
The mighty warriors - generals and field marshals who founded and ruled over the town over four centuries never once broached the subject of claiming a crown. Such is the respect Yorubas have for tradition and the original crown wearing royalty established by Oduduwa

I am not a politician either. I care neither for APC nor for PDP. I stay in Ibadan, live and dwell here in Ibadan. And if you will ask me, what you see and perceive about the present government is all I see. The only cogent changes I see is the appraisals. I can't even see the blueprint or road map. But If you call the attention of the praise singers to the naked truth, you will be immediately branded an APC apologist or an enemy of progress. Just as it is too early to condemn him, it is still too early to praise him.
